It's never easy to go to Mile High and win but if the Broncos end up going to Indy it's going to be real tough for the Broncos.

    Damn, I just caught this.

The Broncos don't even play at Mile High anymore do they? LOL

    InvescoField!!!!! That's the name. yes.gif

    Ouch, Seinfeld is pulling away!

As it should be. As tick has indicated, 70's isn't even in the same class as Seinfeld.

Don't get me wrong, 70s is funny.. but comparing 70's to Sienfeld is like comparing Happy Days to M.A.S.H.

I love both shows but I do have to agree with you on this. That 70's show was excellent the first couple years but it's like the writers ran out of funny stuff to write about. Seinfeld seemed to get better and better with age. The writers were brilliant and if ya think about it, the 5 stars in this show was only part of it, people came in and hit home runs time after time. I was surprized at first when that 70's show was in the lead but I figured Seinfeld would pull ahead sooner or later.

I'd like to see a comparison between how many DVD's were sold in the last couple years between these 2 shows. I bet Seinfeld sold 2-3 times more, maybe more than that. I wonder if there's somewhere that tells the DVD sales?

If the Chargers defeat Denver this Saturday then the Steelers won't even need to win on Sunday.

    Go Bolts!!!  laugh.gif

I bet Cowher would only play the big boys 1/2 the game if they didn't have to win.  yes.gif

Well expect to not have them play much. Chargers will win big today against Denver's second team as Marty is looking for the big finish to a second rate season. I didn't think of this when i made my score prediction. I'll revise now and say...

    Steelers: 28

    Lions: 13

broncos no. 2 seed nuff said !!!!! well maybe not nuff said one more thing.

    BAKE THE ROLLS !!!!! 1022.gif

But if they don't win the super bowl what does it matter which seed they are?

It time for my much anticipated, ever so accurate (usually), weekly prediction.

I think it will be closer than you might expect.

    Steelers 34
    Lions 21

Just out of curiosity, because I never really pay attention, but do you pick the Steelers to win every week? confused13.gif

The last couple years I have. I think I didn't pick them 1 or 2 times. But both of those times they lost so in the last couple years my prediction records is like 27 wins and 5 loses which isn't too bad at all. Even the experts don't have a winning % that high most of the time.

Most people don't realize that the Steelers won 25 of their last 31 regular season games.

6 losses out of 31 games is pretty good. I can handle that.

P.S. Before some bozo points out that they still didn't win a super bowl so it don't matter.....well, don't bother, you aint telling me anything I don't know and it's getting played out, after the first 5000 times I think I get it now. Ya ya it doesn't matter that they won 25 out of their last 31 games, cuz they haven't won a super bowl in the meantime. See, I'm such a nice guy, I saved someone the trouble of saying that all over again ahahaha.

Hey D-13, have you heard the Lovemongers version of Zeppelins "The Battle of Evermore'???????  It sounds sweet!!! I'm sure you probably heard it but if you haven't let me know and I can email you the mp3. She sings that song as good as Plant. IMO

Hell yeah! I have their CD biggrin.gif

Heres the Video for Battle Of Evermore with The Lovemongers biggrin.gif takes a min to get to it. And turn down your speakers at first...unless you want a high pitch sound blasting from it lol

    http://home.comcast.net/~kmitchell84/media...leEvermore3.asf

Hell ya, I figured you prolly heard it. It's almost like this song is made for her voice. I have heard a lot of bands cover Zep and I don't care for most of them but this is some good stuff.

This song has an Eerie sound to it. I love it. trink39.gif

When I was 13-years-old, Rush, The Police, The Clash, The Pretenders were all breaking out, among other great bands. I feel so sorry for you youngin's. There is too much crap music to deal with these days. The only hope I can see comes from bands that rarely, if ever, get the kind of exposure to reach the new generation of musicians. I guess that's why I think of you Analog Kids as not being a run-of-the-mill representation of your generation. How unfortunate that such a small portion of your peers can find inspiration in bands like Rush. Good for you guys to recognize real musicians when you hear them. 1022.gif

does anyone think original rush-influenced music would be accepted today? And im not talking just about the progressive side of their music but all of it as a whole.

Yes, there are a lot of bands these days who are influenced by Rush. Underground, Mainstream, in peoples Garages, everywhere. As long as it don't sound like a pure ripoff and it's good music then I say people will accept it.

It's possible to be influenced by a band and not sound exactly like them.

If he's that great then wouldn't you think he could have found another great band to join and get famous?

be famous don't mean be good...

do you think Oasis are good musicians?

what the hell do YOU mean?

listen to him with your ears...

do you think he has not enough talent?

of course at least not like Portnoy...

    schla03.gif

What I mean is, if he is the "best drummer in the world" and he didn't get the gig with Zappa because Zappa quit playing, then since he was so great then don't you think he could have got in another band and got "Famous"?

I didn't say famous means being good. At least I don't remember ever saying anything stupid like that.

I will listen to him if he gets in a good band and they put out a CD. Show me some links or something. I'm not a big fan of listening to drums without music with them. A drum solo is a good time for a piss break or a good time for the rest of the band to go do some lines or something IMO.

Send me a mp3 or something I will listen to him. But to me a great drummer is a great drummer. I don't think there's a best drummer in the world.

I'm not one to think that you have to be famous to be good either, some of the best musicians I ever seen was people I know and they never got famous. Talent isn't measured by record sales. I'm sure the guy is a good drummer but if he was the best drummer I'm sure he could have got another gig in a popular band if that's what he wanted to do, that's all I'm saying. Don't act like I am putting the guy down because I don't think I ever heard him.

    What bands he play in?

P.S. What does Portnoy have to do with this guy? wacko.gif

Those are some sweet Casio Keyboard sounds you have going on your site dimensionidol ! cool.gif Very retro. unsure.gif

Portnoy needs some of those to add to his Neil Copy kit. No one would ever say one bad thing about him ever if he did that.

Sun Wu Kong is pretty cool. biggrin.gif

and please someone check that MORGAN AGREN guy...

he was a candidate to be the Zappa's drummer when i was only 16 years old...

unfortunately Zappa decide to quit touring just after he listened to him...

    so he is not famous...

this is the moste ashaming kind of underrating....

    sad.gif

So he was that great and since Zappa didn't want him in his band he never got famous. If he's that great then wouldn't you think he could have found another great band to join and get famous?

    yes.gif

I take it you haven't heard Yngwie Malmsteen then as far as the most overrated musician goes...

Malmstein overrated? That dood shreds, he's not overrated at all. I saw him live a couple times and I don't remember seeing too many guitarists that can shred like he can, he plays so clean and precise it's not funny. Not to mention a lot of these new bands that you told me about has a Malmstein kind of sound but just not quite as good. Kamelot, Nightwish, etc, etc. First thing I thought when I heard these bands are that they are Malmstein wanna bee's.

LOL, I read through your posts and over half of them as slamming Portnoy. You aren't going to pull a Mark Chapman on him are you? This guy must have really pissed you off somewhere down the line. Hahahahaha I don't think I hate anyone that bad.

Do you realize how many drummers in this world want to have a drum set like Pearts, and how many want to be the next Neil Peart? I'm sorry but I just don't understand the hatred here, it amazes me for some reason.

I can see why DT fans think Rush fans are snobby. He's not trying to rip the guy off or anything. It's his tribute to him.

I am starting to see how they think that also. If I ever act like that please smack me up side the head, there's no sense in that shit. no.gif
