What's your random encounter with a famous person?
Boots replied to HemiBeers's topic in Video Vertigo
I ran into Ann Murray at a mall. I ran into Prince William at a parade. I ran into Jon Foreman of Switchfoot on my college campus. -

I wrote an alternate version of this song for my Goth ex. I was really crushed when he moved away. I changed "Mr. Crowley" to "Christopher."- 32 replies

Music production was at it's best in the 1980s
Boots replied to fraroc's topic in Music Of The Spheres
I hated a lot of new wave music because it was so synth heavy and cheesy sounding. The thing I disliked the most about pop in that decade was the ubiquitous saxophone. I took a sound engineering course once. I registered for it so the school would let me use their creative suite to do my design homework. -

My interview with Eddie Van Halen...
Boots replied to Rod in Toronto's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Some people just don't like to be interviewed. I once had to interview the owner of an art gallery. To say that he was a prick would be an understatement. On top of it, my journalism instructor was very careless and apathetic. I complained about her to my creative writing teacher at the same university. A year later the journalism teacher was no longer teaching. Here in Canada, a woman filed a lawsuit against a reporter a few months ago. I felt so bad for him. He was just doing his job. Being a journalist can be very frustrating and soul crushing. It involves a lot of hard work and headaches. The profession doesn't pay all that well from what Robson Fletcher at the CBC told me. Some of them work 12-hour days and have to spend a lot of time away from their families . There is also quite a bit of travel. It varies depending on what type of reporting you do and the organization you work for. -

Some guy developed a brain bleed from headbanging at a Motorhead concert. https://www.rollings...anging-20140706

A lot of experts are saying that headbanging causes brain damage. They're linking it to the health problems of Malcolm Young, Glenn Tipton and the drummer for Mr. Big. http://time.com/2956673/heavy-metal-headbanging-motorhead-brain-damage/

Paul was the cute one. John was the pensive one with a social conscience. George was the quiet Beatle. Ringo was the eccentric one.

The guy I lived with used to listen to Take These Chains on repeat. He worked in IT and he looked like he stepped out of a Lord of the Rings movie. I liked his fantasy novels and his impressive sword collection.

Judas Priest are now in the studio working on a new album
Boots replied to treeduck's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Richie seems like a decent guy, but I still like KK better. I knew a Dutch lawyer named Richie for several years. He used to drag me to old movies. If I hadn't ghosted him, then I would've been dating him till I was 100.- 1787 replies

There was another documentary about the Royals yesterday. Why are people so obsessed with them? They just seem like parasites, living off the hard-earned money of others. We were discussing royal assent in one of my classes, and my professor asked, " Are we not a country?" Where there is a secular, constitutional government, there is no need for a monarchy. Someday Canada will have to rid itself of its last vestiges of royal influence. The monarchy is a superfluous relic of an institution that is inhibiting our progress as an independent nation.

I have an illustrated hardcover copy of his book. Dr N said Stephen was the most brilliant scientist of our time. But he was human, just like everyone else. He lost a bet with a colleague and he had to buy him a subscription to Penthouse. He was a regular at a California sex club. He used to let the strippers grind against him.

Iron Maiden: The Other Singers (Blaze vs. Paul)
Boots replied to fraroc's topic in Music Of The Spheres
Paul was a million times better than Blaze. The fans used to spit on Blaze at concerts. Two of my exes were named Paul. -

Aye a new Priest album is major occasion! So you're leaving? I can't leave... because of you. I'm doing a portrait of K.K. Downing. I might post it in my Priest thread at Counterparts. I've been following KK and Rob on Facebook. Rob is so sweet. He cheers me up when I'm having a bad day.- 1787 replies

I've never seen anyone so excited about a band. Too bad they aren't paying you to promote them. Or are they? Hope you like their new album. Maybe the Saints will win the SB.. This website is getting too toxic. Too much malicious gossip going around. Bye.- 1787 replies
