OK Drummers, lots of hate-on for DW, care to discuss? Is it Neils kits or DW in general? I have a DW and Pearl Kits, love them both, but my FAV Peart Kit is still the RED TAMA's. :Neil: :rush:

RUSH The illustrated History http://www.amazon.co...strated history I bought this the first day it came out and being a RUSH fan since the early '80s I was initially impressed with photos I had never seen before. Then I started reading it. Now I enjoy much of Martin Popoff's work (from films to books to his Mag. BWBK) but I was really shocked by most of the reviews in this book. It gives a detialed account of every album and all the songs on those records and many were all negative. As well that the band could have done better on many occations, really??? I guess I expected to hear something positive about their songs and instead I found it to be overtly negative. Don't know if anyone else got that from reading it, but I would suggest merely looking at the book in the store and not actually buying it. Many of the complaints were around the whole "synth" period of the band. I understand why some fans don't care for those ablums, but this is a book about RUSH, not a Rolling Stone article. Any other thoughts? :rush:

Rush, U2, ZZ Top Does Neil becoming a member before the USA release of Rush's first album make it ALL Original Members? Frank Beard didn't play on ZZ Tops first 2 singles, but did on their first Album. Does this make U2 the only one? :rush:

Sam The record Man has died @ the age of 92. His flag ship store on Yonge St. in Toronto can be found in the Subdivisions video. This is the store where musician (famous or not) and music fans throughout the GTA flocked to. There where many RUSH Gold and Platinum Albums on the walls, and Sam was always a huge supporter of the band. RIP Sam. Sam The Record Man
