  1. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jul 23 2010, 08:36 PM) OK so up close I was to see this show. I very much enjoyed it. But sitting up close, or even watching on monitors, what continues to impress me is how these guys *care* about what theyre playing and how theyre playing. And what impressed me the most about the evening was.. Caravan. These guys, seasoned aging pros of hard rock from the 70s, went and out and played this hard edged, kick-ass song like no ones business. Young bucks, take note of how the old farts can take their chops and put them to work. F-ing wow. If this is the future of this band in the next few years, they are far, far from done. WOW. The look on their faces during this song said it all. They're monsters plain and simple ....we're off to Jones Beach in 20 minutes courtesy of Slacker our tour guide.....NYC rules
  2. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jul 21 2010, 08:37 AM) Can the first set be better ? Yes . Does it suck ? No it does not Exactly....with a catalog this big they can't appease everybody. It's too bad some of these debutantes can't figure that out
  3. QUOTE (trenken @ Jul 21 2010, 09:04 AM) I try to avoid camden at all costs. Ill wait for the PNC show. Take off the nylons Nancy......live a little
  4. QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 11 2010, 01:14 PM)Just chiming in here to say that this is one of the nicest things I've seen here on this forum lately. andy reid, you're a good guy. I am mystified as to why there were so few respondents myself! krlowe, you oughta send him a t-shirt or something - Definitely nice to see...this ones for you Andy Reid
  5. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jul 11 2010, 12:14 AM)Water bottle and shirt..... i'm a pathetic load of sh!t. Some of you are satiated by my crap. fixed
  6. QUOTE (chrislangone @ Jul 11 2010, 11:11 AM) PS - I asked Stub Hub for my money back and was told no per Live Nation's policy - so I did not run to court and file a lawsuit before requsting my money back. Do people really think ticket holders should be left holding the bag for a show that never occurred? Wouldn't the reasonable, honest and ethical thing be to offer people their money back? I'm stunned that anyone would side with Live Nation on this. I truly hope you get a refund but this will be an exercise in futility...Good luck
  7. QUOTE (cygnus_thegodofbalance @ Jul 11 2010, 10:10 AM)Weather Network is calling for "cloudy with showers" on Tuesday, the day of the Toronto Molson Amphitheatre show. 60% POP with close to 10mm of rain. It's all good....you wont melt
  8. QUOTE (Hi_Jinx @ Apr 22 2010, 07:20 PM)QUOTE (spirit of radio @ Apr 22 2010, 05:02 PM) QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 22 2010, 07:31 AM)Hmm, I don't see them splitting MP with the break. I figure it will either close the first set or open the second. That would make perfect sense Apparently we need predictions for the obvious Speaking of Captain obvious. You Like mechanical dogs. And Drink Piss. How did you know? But i prefer mechanical sheep and drink drool
  9. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Apr 21 2010, 10:29 PM)QUOTE (Modest Man From Mandrake @ Apr 21 2010, 11:23 PM) I think the real question that should be posed is.... Where are we all meeting up for a couple of drinks before the show? That will be arranged soon enough...We'll keep you posted Gretzky's pre show....Orbit Room post show sounds like a helluva game plan. Can't tailgate at the Hangar and Gretzky's is only a few blocks away.
  10. I wouldn't care....just more time to barbecue and drink beer in the parking lot

  12. QUOTE (Score Out @ Apr 22 2010, 11:42 AM)I'm not going to say what the song is but with the hints provided and some logic applied it should be pretty easy to narrow down. I'd just add again that I'm referring to a song where you won't be debating the definition of "hit." It's one of their big songs. A time machine tour and they're going to open with a big hit ? No way man i don't believe it Seriously, not much of a prediction You post a lot like Drew2112 from counterparts
  13. QUOTE (Alex @ Apr 20 2010, 02:42 PM) Alright, I think I did Okay. Section 120 row 17. about $155 per ticket, and thats my money. I had a hold of row 14 floor for $350 but my Dad advised me against it. So I think I got some good seats for a better price. And they are touring next year, so I probably will do multiple shows when they have more Canadian dates. I see nothing wrong with not being on the floor so, like I said, I think I did alright. My Dad said he wouldn't pay $350 for a ticket even if God himself was performing miracles on stage LOL. You did great Alex First level center stage.....other than being first 25 rows on the floor these are the next best bet imo.
  14. QUOTE (Modest Man From Mandrake @ Apr 20 2010, 01:50 PM)QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Apr 20 2010, 09:56 AM) K got floor tix 19th row on alex's side....got them thru musiccity I can't wait. 17. QUOTE (liquidcrystalcompass @ Feb 17 2010, 05:08 PM) QUOTE (spirit of radio @ Feb 17 2010, 05:03 PM) Chum Lee is there for entertainment and ratings purposes. In any other walk of life he'd be taken out behind the barn and put out of his misery Or he'd have a government job. True enough

  20. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Feb 11 2010, 12:35 PM)QUOTE (Alph Seeker @ Feb 11 2010, 12:26 PM) QUOTE Some small fish hooks and weights and 100 ft. of fishing line. Wind the line around a small stick and it'll take up less room. Add a jar or two of Powerbait. (Unless you are like me and try to always carry a fly rod (you never know when a mental break down needs to be averted)). Good idea! You can also throw in a couple of small lures. It's also handy to know how to "grunt" worms. You take two sticks, one about four feet long and another about a foot and a half. Take the long one and drive it into the ground with a rock, leaving about 8 inches sticking up above the ground. Take the shorter stick and carve twenty to thirty notches in it one on top of another and perpendicular to the shaft of the stick. Take your notched stick with a hand on either end, hold it about 45 degrees relative to the one sticking up out of the ground, and drag it across the edge of the top. This makes a grunting sound and produces lots of vibration and after about 4 minutes, you'll see worms crawling up out of the dirt. I have field-tested this technique myself and it works great. Grunting worms...who knew...you learn something new every day Good to know Jack

We all give our regards to your right hand first of all, left hand. duh . second, i'm actually not going to be single THIS valentine's day. I just have been for the past seventeen you i'm pretty familiar with the experience and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. i believe i've already expressed my views on the concept of the day itself, don't need to reiterate myself there. So that leaves me as the only single guy around here..... Here's to southpaws
