  1. I wouldn't have an issue with Nick producing it as I thought Clockwork was a strong album. I'd like to see a different engineer though..for sound quality purposes.
  2. How could we find out definitively?
  3. If I recall correctly, Rush's recording contract calls for them to release 1-2 more albums. Could have sworn I remember reading that somewhere. Am I off on this one? And if not, does anyone know if that obligation is for new material, live recording, or a greatest hits?
  4. As a fan of music, I visited the rrhof and I enjoyed it very much. Mind you, before entering, I made a conscious effort to park my feelings about who I personally would like to see in the hall. Doing so made it so much more enjoyable. Seeing equipment from the Who and Zeppelin, Joplin's psychedelic car, and hand written letters from from Hendrix was one of the cooler things I've experienced.

    Oops.. Double post. Sorry!

    New rumor

I don't like making judgements on someone else's financial statements. I certainly wouldnt want anyone other than my accountant/advisor/finance manager judging mine. That said, Neil seems like a financially prudent person who understands the importance of looking after the financial needs of his families lives and I suspect that any potential future work with Rush won't be as a result of a need for incremental income.

  8. Obviously this is just a guess but I think Neil is happy as can be. Ged and Al too, with the difference being Ged and Al may be itching to write and/or record something.... Especially Ged.
  9. That's a great point. They have earned that right. I recall Ged's interview in Beyond the Lighted Stage where he said there is no replacing anyone in this band. It's just not possible. I think that speaks volumes, and I interpret that to mean if they do record with someone else, Ged wouldn't want to call it Rush
  10. Yes, Rush would not be Rush without Neil. Ged and Al seem interested in writing and recording and maybe even touring. I for one would have interest in hearing new material written by Ged and Al. If they record it with Neil on drums, it's Rush. In my opinion, If they record it with someone else on drums, they should call it something other than Rush. Either way, I'd be into checking it out. Side note.... if it's not Neil, PLEASE let it be Gavin Harrison.
  11. I think it's time for the fans to stop being selfish. Enjoy the gifts RUSH has given us. Remember fondly the live shows and experiences... And move on with your lives. RUSH doesn't owe you anything. You make a good point. But, imo, the difficulty in doing so stems from the fact that there's been no closure... at least not a consensus on it. Ged and Al have made it clear they'd like to continue in some form. Neil doesn't seem interested. That puts fans who are hoping for more in a difficult spot...Moving on is easiest when the band and management make it clear that they're done. Until that happens, this is what we'll be faced with.
  12. A good one... but Polarize posted this one already
