  1. The "Shrimp cot" outtake from Rush in Rio...for both its comic value, and it's portrait of just how much he and Geddy genuinely love each other.
  2. LOVED Neil's drum outdo from Superconductor.... Amazing playing.
  3. Of this group, I'd have to go with Spirit of Radio. First time I heard it, it completely blew me away...
  4. When it comes to "adding insult to injury" gifs, this is the funniest I've seen.
  5. My biggest takeaway from the documentary is that they might have packed in the major tours at just the right time. I watched the bonus material and Neil's extra drum part at the end of Superconductor is mind boggling. I think if one were to ask Neil if he can still play like that, he'd acknowledge that it's unlikely. I think it's time. I say thank you Neil, thank you Al and thank you Ged for what amounts to a lifetime of brilliance. I'll be forever grateful for what you've brought to my life.
  6. The solo in Jacob's Ladder gets me every time. The way he bends notes sends chills up my spine.
  7. On "Taking Centre Stage" (at least I think it was TCS) Neil commented on how Jacob's Ladder didn't make the cut for Time Machine.... saying, "sometimes, you can never go back". Thank goodness, it made the cut on R40...For me, it was a highlight of the concert.
  8. For you, the blind who once could see, the bell tolls for thee....

    Do you think....

Back to original question... I say yes.... Dave Matthews fans will stick with the band and vice versa
  10. If there's no one in control, we're the ones who draw the line.
  11. Hero - is the pride of purpose in the unrewarding job.
  12. Rush would definitely be defunct if this happened Rush would definitely be defunct if this happened Look you f***ing idiots, you better read the opening post, did I mention RUSH? This is about drummers and replacing Peart as a drummer not a member of f***ing RUSH. You f***ing idiots!!!!!!!!!!!! For the Canadians out there...this reaction reminds me of SCTV's skit "half wits"... Featuring Eugene Levy playing the host who simply snaps...
  13. Gavin Harrison impresses me. The man can flat out play.
  14. Quick to judge, quick to anger, slow to understand. Ignorance, prejudice and fear walk hand in hand.
  15. Rush inspires me to try to do my part to make the world a better place.
  16. For me it was when the credits rolled, and they showed the fans and how it was impacting them. That pushed me over the emotional line.
  17. One of the things I learned that I didn't know was that one of the organizers of Rushcon works in the White House. That's very cool.
  18. My preference would be to hear some new recorded material from Rush, but given how unlikely that looks at this point, I would absolutely LOVE to hear something new from Ged and Al...I'd bet it would be some awesome material.
  19. I found the documentary to be even better than I hoped it'd be...emotional to be sure, but a great view into the band and their bond with each other and with their fans.
  20. Watched the several times since Friday and I am thoroughly impressed....incredibly well put together. What strikes me most is that each of them understands the true nature of a relationship.. Which is that for good or bad, agree or disagree, they support and respect each others positions and decisions. I loved that sentiment more than any other. Right to the end, they continue to inspire.
  21. I was hoping Salute to Kings would be on the DVD/bluray as well. I'm disappointed it's not included.
  22. Bought my copy at local hmv store
