  4. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Aug 16 2007, 03:52 PM) Cygnus....he is adorable. Please send me some info about the trust...I don't know enough about them. You can PM me, if you have time. It's SO awful that so many kids are affected, but it gives me peace to know that as parents we're not alone. Big hugs to Tony. GG I suspect he means a trust in terms of your will ( a very cheery thought). My best friends child has special needs and I am a Trustee which means me and his aunt will administer any funds that come to him in the future. I think what you are doing in spreading knowledge and improving perception of autism and its related conditions is great and from the outside you do appear to have a great family.
  5. When I was a wee boy one of my favourite cartoon characters was Oor Wullie which anyone outside Scotland will never of heard of. Here is the real thing. He is the character in my avatar http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w254/sodor/Wullie-on-bucket-1938.jpg As his grandad pictures my boy Scott http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w254/sodor/cid_000f01c647b9060a54a0ff304054RHe.jpg and in real life http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w254/sodor/DSCF0161.jpg

  8. A very funny and controversial comedian who certainly doesn't shy away from controversy. Anyone remmeber the Cake episodes or the paedophilia one where he had Phil Collins talkine "Nonce - Sense" - absolue classic TV which caused outrage from people who hadn;t actually watched. Brass Eye
  9. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jul 11 2007, 10:01 PM) QUOTE (Milton Bridge @ Jul 11 2007, 04:54 PM) Get the BBC original on DVD it is far superior to the American version It's all a matter of taste! The US version has its strengths. I happen to think it's the funniest US sitcom in years. I like the US version too but I think some of the humour in the original is on a different level even some of the expressions on the characters faces can crack me up.
  10. My wee boy cannot wait to see this as it is a trailer on his Cars DVD - glad you guys are giving it the thumbs up

  16. The Camera Eye for me but you know there is not a weak song on that album, whcih is why it is a classic which still stands up to scrutiny despite its age. A bit like me

  24. QUOTE (KublaKhan @ Dec 5 2006, 11:29 AM) Went to my very first concert last night: The Australian Pink Floyd Show. So, i'll start at my birthday, a month and a bit ago: My parents had got me tickets to TAPFS for my birthday, and I was very excited. So, the night of the concert finally came. With my luck, it snowed for the first time this year... and it was bad. Gridlock all over the city. So, we finally made it to the Metro Centre after 2 hours or so of driving. We had to eat, because we had left pretty much just after school. Once we went into the Metro Centre and into our Skybox, i just stared off the ledge at the drumset. Very nice. Looks like something that Nick would play. After a bit of a delay (they wanted to let people get in) the lights suddenly turned off, and everyone yelled. Then, you could hear the opening orchestra-synth line of "Shine of you Crazy Diamond". When everyone started playing, it was magical. Lights everywhere, and the guitar solo's, and the sax solos. After about an hour or so of some awesome Floyd songs (set list below, or atleast what i can remember), there was a 15 minute intermission. Then the lights died again, and the music from "Outside the Wall" started playing. I knew what was next. In The Flesh? scared the crap out of me when they started playing. After another hour, the show was over. And I went home thinking "Now I definitely need to see Rush." I actually thought they werent going to be as good, because they were a tribute band, but, it was actually really good. Setlist: Shine On You Crazy Diamond Time+Breathe Reprise Dogs (Not in order) Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun (to my great surprise. it was also rocked out with a solo) Take It Back The Happiest Days of Our Lives+Another Brick In the Wall Learning to Fly Brain Damage+Eclipse The Gunners Dream The Great Gig In The Sky (with very good vocals) Nobody's Home (with reclining chair and lamp) One of These Days Pigs Money Us and Them Cumfortably Numb With the Encores: Hey You (Where I thought I heard the "Echoes" pings, which i would have loved to hear) and Run Like Hell Cool first concert. I had the pleasure of seeing the Australian Pink Floyd earlier on in the year and they were amazing, Incidentally my first concert was Iron Maiden on their first ever British tour.
