  1. Rush has never played the State Fair. I have heard both good and bad sounding shows at The Fair. Kansas opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd one year. We sat up in the grandstand. Kansas sounded terrible...I was worried. Skynyrd sounded great! Same show. Motley Crue (Carnival of Sins Tour) sounded awesome and is still one of the loudest concerts I have ever seen...even though it was outdoors. I sat on the elevated track for that one. The Fair venue is a mile long race track by day / concert venue by night. The stage is on the inside of the front stretch of the track (like at the start / finish line). There is concert seating on the track, as well as elevated seating on the track. Then you have the grandstands behind that. The grandstands are covered. It is a big steel structure with food and beer underneath and behind them. Honestly, from the second row (congrats!) you'll hear more from their stage monitors than the PA system. I'd be psyched if I were you, kkb. Hell, I'm not you and I'm psyched
  2. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jul 22 2010, 08:20 PM) Bloody peasant.... Peasants? I love the peasants! PULL!!
  3. I went to see Aerosmith in the 70's. Golden Earring opened, so I sat through a 20 minute rendition of "Radar Love". A guy came out and announced that Aerosmith wasn't playing. Steven Tyler was too wasted. Show was rescheduled for the following week. I could't go to that one...I had already taken time off for the cancelled one. Aerosmith remains on my s@#t list...I won't ever see them because of it. Never crossed my mind to sue. Chris...if I cut you a check for the $500.00, will you drop the whole thing? You could have it by Wednesday. If my son, who wants to attend Cornell, takes your class and one gets cancelled because of snow or something, can I sue you and the University? Of course the suit will be on behalf of all the students who just want to learn. The "rush" ( no pun intended) in this country to find a reason to sue somebody (anybody) is staggering and depressing.
  4. I will bring both my kids to at least one show this tour. I think this will make the 6th or 7th show for my daughter (since R30) and the first for my son.
  5. How about Stewie and the Family Guy clan?
  6. I think Tarantino is an acquired taste. Kinda like Rush.
  7. 1976 - KISS Syracuse War Memorial Uriah Heep opened Then Tull, then Queen with Freddy
