Not Rush related, but Dream Theatre related.... Saw Maiden in Winnipeg last week, the only stop where DT was not opening. It was some band called something like Automan.ca, and they were a brutal fit. Getting booed, haivng things thrown at them, people in the pit at the front flipping them the bird the whole time....we actually felt bad for them!

I'm sure there are a few of these threads kicking around already, but what the heck.... I just saved the setlist (except for the solos) to my Ipod and have just gone through it all the way, without interruption, and I have to say.... It is really, really good! Is it perfect? Of course not, and what might be perfect to me might not be to you, but it sounded great to me. Sure I'd swap out one or two (Faithless) from the first set for something else, but even they didn't sound bad at all within the context of an entire show. Even though I knew exactly what songs were coming up next, I still had a lot of "spine tingling" moments at the start of of several songs (Marathon in particular!), so for me that's what its all about right there! I'm officially ready for the Canadian shows!

Sorry, should have mentioned that I received an email from Bluesfest saying this.

FYI - the Gold Circle seating has been moved to the right hand side of the stage, all amenities (reserved seating, private washrooms and bar) follow along.

My kids love watching most of those shows (ok, I'll admit it, so do I at times!) so if it's going to be on our tv there may as well be some Rush references! My boys sure caught it, so I must be doing something right!

It's hard to believe sometimes, but let's not forget that PW through RTB are 20-25 years ago, so they too fit very nicely into the theme! Crazy when you put it like that - so many musicians have a "career" that spans a few years (or even months!), and here we are talking decades!

I'm available anytime on the day of the show to leave T.O., and I'm ok with either driving back that same night or staying the night and going back to T.O. the next day. Bought VIP for July 13 show on April 20 I think it was, nothing yet. And I am somewhat peeved that the songs have been released and I still don't have mine from the VIP package. Don't get me wrong, that's not the main reason why I bought the VIP but it would have been a nice perk to have received the songs by now.

Not familiar with this venue, but for another venue I called/emailed the venue, Ticketmaster and Livenation and all three were within about 2 seats of each other so that gave me a pretty good idea, as I was in the same boat as you!

Last tour I was Geddy's side for both shows, and this tour I'll be on Alex's side each time, and I'm looking forward to experiencing the other side for many reasons. I think everyone needs to see a show from both sides to soak up the entire experience!

Not this time since I need to travel quite a distance (at quite a cost) but next year when something is closer I hope to take my two boys, who will be 8 and 10 by that time. The 10 year old likes listening to them in the van, and while the 8 year old used to hate it he's done a complete 180! Today they heard on tv that justin bieber is coming to our area this fall, and they both turned their noses up, and my 8 year old said that seeing Rush is now at the top of his list!

With nothing in Western Canada until next year, I'm flying from Manitoba to Toronto, driving to Sarnia, taking the train to Ottawa, then flying back to Manitoba after the Molson Amphitheatre show. I'm glad to do it, but it is adding up!

Reminds me of shows at the old Winnipeg Arena, man there were a lot of bad seats there!

the Gold Circle tickets are reserved seating, everything else is GA. I went Gold Circle because I didn't know how early I could get to the venue and wanted a guaranteed spot!

One VIP ticket for sale - Section 102 Row C, Face Value! Man I love my wife. She knows how much this trip meant to me, and she also knew that I was going to stay away from the VIP tickets for financial reasons (as you can see from my post above, I couldn't resist!). So she went ahead and bought me one herself! So now I have an extra VIP seat, third row from the stage, and of course I'm only looking to get my cost back, which is exactly $350.25. Plus the buyer will get all of the "goodies" that go with the VIP package. I can ship the goodies to you once I have them, and as the tickets are will call we can meet up before the show and get our VIP tickets together!
