  1. Ghostworks stole this idea from somewhere else. Where I forget...
  2. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Feb 21 2012, 11:21 PM) QUOTE (Draco @ Feb 21 2012, 11:23 PM) All my albums are playlists. Sad, I know. Ken: http://images.cheezburger.com/completestore/2011/1/3/20ef0773-6ab4-41cd-9940-91094a264bec.jpg

  4. Is there an update on what has been raised? As for a dance song (and I don't know if it's been mentioned), but I would definitely say Scars. Edit to say, and dare I say it, Dog Years is also a good dance song.
  5. The admins of CP are having another BARF Party. (Bay Area Rush Fans). It's this Saturday February 4th in Walnut Creek. PM me with details if you want to go!
  6. I had the pleasure of having lunch with Andrew in LA in 2001. One thing I will never forget, is how he told me that Neil used to cry himself to sleep on Andrew's shoulder soon after Jackie died. Rest in peace Andrew.

  10. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jan 2 2012, 01:23 PM) This is probably the third thread asking for this. We'd have to upgrade to the newest version of the Invision software to be able to incorporate a mobile skin. Unfortunately, we'd lose a lot of the unique features we've incorporated over the years. So, some pros and cons to be weighed here. Upgrades are a bitch.
  11. Good news, upgrade done. Bad news, all the skins were screwed. Have to rebuild all of them.
  12. SQL Problem fixed itself. Upgrade running again now. Let's see what else comes up broken..
  13. Ran into some SQL issues, not working out the way I hoped. So yeah. CP is offline until I can figure this thing out, or my server guy wakes up, spends 30 seconds on it, and fixes the darn thing.
  14. Had a very quiet evening with housemates and kids. Here in Napa, the neighborhood lit up right at midnight like it was 4th of July, and the kids had a blast! A very good way to ring in the new year.

There may be a compatibility issue. If we had to unite with CP, I think most of us would leave! I know I would. I would definitely take off. XD I'd go too.... Same. Not a fan of CP. I'm not a huge fan of CP, per se. But, there are definitely some quality CP folk who post and/or lurk here. We're all part of the larger Rush community. But, the two boards most certainly have different styles that appeal to different kinds of people. If you're looking for a kick in the ass from a chaotic whirl of smartasses and know-it-all's, go to Counterparts. If you want a big, giant cyber hug from a chaotic whirl of smartasses and know-it-all's, come to TRF. Pick yer poison. But, we're a kinder, gentler CP! (At least, we try to be.) CP is what it is. For those "old timers", we had the board wars with the old Tri-Net, and when it was apparent to all those at Tri-Net what was really going on, people came to CP, because there was no TRF at the time. We represented true freedom as opposed to the over obsessive moderation of Tri-net. We grew as a community, a very strong community. I will say this. I am hella proud of what CP has accomplished in the almost 12 years its been in existence. People have established life long relationships, marriages, friendships. I know for myself, I have the most wonderful daughter, in which her parents met on CP. CP has really changed some peoples lives in dramatic ways. Yet the exact same thing can be said about TRF. I know I have my best friend here. I know people have found each other, and fell in love each other here. TRF is a very strong community in it's own right. People have developed life long, and life changing friendships, because of TRF. What is the absolute most important though, is that the administration teams of both CP and TRF get along very well. We know there is a strong place for TRF, and there is a strong place for CP in the overall view of the Rush online community. Sullysue is right. The Rush community, no matter what board you post on, is a wonderful community. We meet at concerts. We meet in real life. We form life long bonds, sharing not only our appreciation of Rush, but our appreciation of all aspects of life. We can debate about what board is better, etc. Yet both boards are a very important part of the big picture. That big picture being the community as a whole. One that can be cherished in all aspects.
  16. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Dec 28 2011, 05:33 PM) This thread needs to be moved. To Counterparts, preferably.
  17. Thanks to all! I'm having a most excellent day!!! Hey Sullysue, just remember, you're not that far behind me. Respect your elders!
