  1. It's a Wonderful Life and Bad Santa. Mmm. That's an odd combination of movies, but I do enjoy them both.
  2. Just announced that Jeff Beck is touring here in January. Wahoo. This is gonna be sensational.
  3. There's an American version? I've seen the British one and loved it. Some classic moments in it. Philip Glenister, who played Gene Hunt, the head detective, was brilliant. Haven't seen any episodes of Ashes to Ashes yet.
  4. I've got to wait 2 more weeks until the DVD is released down here. Can't wait to watch Blind Faith, my fav DT song.
  5. What a sad loss. One of the true greats. Cool Hand Luke is one my fav movies. RIP Paul. An absolute legend and was a champion bloke from all accounts.
  6. QUOTE (Finding IT @ Sep 12 2008, 05:47 AM)3:00 High Roadhouse 'Roadhouse' would be my pick too. Routinely panned by critics, me and my friends all love it. Jeff Healy Band as the house band was cool. I enjoyed playing that movie to any women who didn't know any other Patrick Swayze movie than Dirty Dancing. It was quite an eye opener for them.

    Platoon

Not my fav Vietnam film but I did enjoy it. Been a long time since I watched it though. As a Living Colour fan, it was cool to see Corey Glover make an appearance in this film.
  9. Here's a link to an interview with John Petrucci in Modern Guitars mag. Nothing too exciting in there, but not a bad read none the less. http://www.modernguitars.com/archives/004607.html

  12. Just listened to the bootleg 'Wake the f**k Up', from Denver 2002. Who else has heard this?? Very good quality. Great version of Strange Deja Vu.
  13. I just got a hold of the Live in Studio XM Radio Broadcast from Nov 2002. I got the version with the 3 extra acoustic songs plus the interview with Steven Wilson. Superb of course. I'm sure a lot of you guys here would already have this. What do you all think of it??

  16. QUOTE (mazyyz @ Jul 29 2008, 12:24 PM)Ishtar I vaguely recall a Gary Larson cartoon that was set in hell's video store. The only movie stocked on the shelves was 'Ishtar'. I think 'Battlefield Earth' deserves a mention in this thread.
  17. North By Northwest. Honourble mention to 'The Birds'. I remember seeing that when I was about 10, and was scared of anything that flew for about the next 5 years.

  20. Dr Strangelove and Full Metal Jacket are my favs. Strangelove is one of my fav films of all time. I've never seen Barry Lyndon. Not sure how I've missed that one but I'll track it down. I'm sure it will be great.

  22. QUOTE (rushfanNlv @ Aug 12 2008, 04:55 AM)I love the song. The lyrics are perfect and they describe my views on religion perfectly. It is comforting to hear these lyrics and know that there are many out there who feel the way I do about the subject. That's pretty much my thoughts on the lyrics as well. Definitely one of my favs off S&A. I too was surprised it never made it into the live setlist. Perhaps they rehearsed it and weren't happy with how it sounded. Not sure about that but I think it would be a great live song. Guess we'll never know, unless they throw it in on the next tour.
