  1. QUOTE (D3strukt @ Jun 6 2011, 04:30 PM) Do it, for f*cks sake, DO IT. VOTE HIM OFF. Am I wrong in understanding 'him' is a 'her?'
  2. Many thanks for the list. Now I have to hunt down the one I wanted to hear again.
  3. Anyone got a list or can remember the in house music prior to the concerts?
  4. 19:35 opening video starts the first set. 20:40 interval 21:06 second set video starts 22:40 exit video starts.
  5. QUOTE (edgejedi @ May 22 2011, 05:26 PM)Newcastle had no blacked out seating areas this time unlike last, which was great to see! I noticed a lot more of a younger crowd in there too which is inspiring. Place was chokka!!!! Yay! There was a few small areas 'blacked' out mate. Right in the back two corners. I asked why to a steward and they claim health and safety. Not sure how but that is what I was told. We are maybe only talking 200 seats tops and yes it was mighty full. Not the biggest arena but I would not mind a tenner per person in there...
  6. http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/yy287/Trouty2112/Clipboard01-10.jpg Spotted this at Newcastle hehe. IMO a much better show sound wise and fewer glitches than Sheffield. I did notice Neil doing a big cheesy grin when Geddy sang 'smile' on working them angels lol. I also noticed Neil 'air drumming' at the end of Freewill. No 'cook' putting chickens in the amps tonight but we did get a Gorilla, Moses and a Chicken man on stage during 2112. Great first show for my 10 year old daughter and I would say only a couple 100 seats empty in the back corners. Yay!
  7. I was told Newcastle sold 5400 seats last night and the capacity is 9000 there is no way on God's green earth there was over 3000 empty seats last night..
  8. QUOTE (weathers @ May 19 2011, 02:40 PM)thats over 3 hours by the way and thats what I said not 3 and 1/2 relax dude I'll time it again tonight and let you know Mr Anal That is indeed over 3 hours but you said PLAYED for over 3 hours which they did not. Like I said I was not having a go I'm just a bit fed up of the press 'advertising' it as a 'Over 3 1/2 hour show' etc etc when it is clearly not. Not being anal at all. Enjoy the show!
  9. QUOTE (Fenlander @ May 19 2011, 09:57 AM) Did they play Sheffield on the snakes and arrows and r30 tours? My one previous visit to Sheffield arena was for the roll the bones tour which I think was the last one before the R30 tour. They did on S&A but not R30, Manchester was the closet to me from the NE.
  10. QUOTE (weathers @ May 17 2011, 12:48 AM) They played 3 hours plus and were faultless. Damn I must have left early I notice a lot of newspaper articles claim 'Rush bring their 3 1/2 hour show to blahblahblah' ..however it is not. Sheffield came on stage (video did) 19:36 went off stage 22:40 take into consideration the 3 videos, break etc they did not really play for 3 whole hours - closer really to 2h20. Still great though but it is something that narks me the time thing.
  11. QUOTE (Tyke @ May 17 2011, 07:14 PM) I ordered my tickets in January and got the best available but just 6 hours before the show i noticed Row A tickets for sale and this pissed me off big time as i was only offered Block 218 way back in January Yes, this really really annoys me. On S&A I got pre-sale tickets for Newcastle and was 20 rows back, okay I thought at the time. On the morning of the S&A Sheffield gig I went online and ordered seats that were 4 rows back slap bang in the centre. My wife bought me 'best available' for Newcastle this year as a birthday present so have had them ages and are in block 213.... yikes. However again I ordered some Sheffield ones close to the day and got only a few rows back. What the hell is going on? Are some 'tout' sites block buying on sale and return? Also I think on the night Sheffield was about 3 to 4 5ths full. The back top sections was curtained off and not many people on the bottom back section but the floor area seemed full as did most of the banked sections till they got to the back. I do not know who done the market research for this but when you look at other artists around at the moment Rush seemed the most expensive to go and see.
  12. My first show this tour however a veteran of many Rush shows down the years. I was near the front on Geddy's side 3 rows up the side. I actually thought the show had the most glitches I can remember from a Rush show. I thought for the main the sound was poor and did not know if that was that I was too near the front or on Geddy's side as I'd never been on Geddy's side before. It just sounded too bassy which drowned out the vocals too much. I noticed Neil dropped sticks at least 3 times and once even played one handed for what seemed 2 or so seconds which to him is a lot of hits. I noticed the drum tech out a few times to shore things up. I can't for certain say but I'm sure the screen was buggered for too long a periods through out the show. Long gaps with nothing on them which is strange. I guess I can compare that on Saturday. part of the screen was damaged during the Camera Eye and early on in the camera eye Geddy appeared to have issues and was communicating with techs quite a lot. The pyros did not go off during Marathon - well the sound did but no fireworks, again not sure that is correct or not. Do not get me wrong it was a great evening and I loved it but like I said something was a bit off - or maybe over the years I've come to expect too much.
