  1. Here's my opinion of Kanye, okay? As a rap artist, I think that he's brilliant. For the most part, his lyrics actually make sense, unlike most other rappers out there. However, on a personal level, I can't stand him. He's self-centered and full of himself to the point that it's surpassed simply being obnoxious. Still, I listen to his music; I like his music. But I wouldn't even think about seeing him live. I don't want to put up with such a diva! XD
  2. #1 - I really can't remember my very first Rush song, but I remember hearing a lot of 'Fly by Night', 'The Trees', 'Working Man' and 'Red Barchetta'. #2 - Around 1992 #3 - About 1 1/2 or 2 years old. #4 - Everywhere that we went, my parents played Rush in the car. In fact, all of the memories that I have of various trips or outings involve Rush playing in the background. I can honestly say that I've listened to Rush since birth, because, even in the womb, I'm sure that my parents were trying their best to impress good music into my developing mind. :]
  3. QUOTE (Did Lee Squat? @ Jun 1 2008, 07:58 PM) Honestly that wasn't nearly excruciating as some of the other ones. Nice job. I've realized that it is almost impossible to sing RUSH songs well. Like, Geddy has such a distinct style to his singing, and it's nearly impossible to measure up. Maybe we should post non-RUSH songs too? That could be fun. Hahaha.
  4. oh good gracious! i'm drooling like a maniac!
  5. QUOTE (Daylin @ May 23 2008, 11:25 PM) Ladies....ladies....ladies! Finally, after all this time (which in my case is a lot) I thought I was the only one that 'ed over Geddy and Alex's interacting If I had time now I'd look for the pic of Geddy sitting on Alex's lap. It's an oldie, and I remember that I said it looks as if Geddy hasn't any pants on.....they are very flesh color I know it's in the Ged thread somewhere SHARE. NOW. :]
  6. This topic isn't getting enough lovin', hahaha. (:
  7. Ohhh, in The Spirit of Radio when he sings, "it's really just a question of your honesty, yeah, your HONESTY." mm. and 2112, of course. "...my lifeblood spills over..." (:
  8. ohhhman. this geddy+alex lovin' is just OH SO GOOD. hahaha. i'm like...wow. speechless. it's so...hot. i guess that i'm a "pervert" too! HAHA.
  9. DUN DUN DUNNNNN! It's about time, right? Yeah, my debut, of course. 'Tom Sawyer'. I apologize that I'm so loud. You can't really hear the music. Hahahahahhaa. Deal with it. I scoop some notes really badly. And I'm trying not to laugh through the last part of it. It's not the greatest, mind you, but it's decent. Be honest. Brutally honest. I can take it. :] tom sawyer
  10. You set your clocks to 24 hour/Military time so that you can wish on "21:12". In lieu of using curse words, you exclaim "Oh, Geddy (freakin') Lee!" "Crap, Alex Lifeson!" or "Way to go, Neil Peart!" You volunteer to help clean out lockers at the end of the school year just so that you can choose your locker for the next school year. Yeah, 2112, here I come. :] I really have no life. I do all of the stuff that I mention. just for the record.
  11. When you take your English III AP test and end up using Rush lyrics to back up your essay thesis. I seriously did this. The prompt was about schools that allow advertisers into their schools and are paid to let the companies tout their propaganda to the students. There's even a closed-circuit TV station that the students are forced to watch that is deemed "educational" but is 85% commercials. That being said, I was arguing against the use of advertising in school and quoted 'The Temples of Syrinx' ("...we've taken care of everything, the words you hear, the songs you sing, the pictures that bring pleasure to your eyes...") and also Subdivisions ("...in the high school halls, in the shoppiong malls, conform or be cast out...") Yeah, I beter make a 9 on that essay. A 9, in case you're not familiar with the AP grading policy, is the highest grade that one can get on an essay. Hahaha. (:
  12. Alright, here's the "karaoke" track I've got finished so far. You can still faintly hear the vocals on it, but it'll definitely be quiet enough to sing over. If any of you are interested in learning to do this yourself, just let me know. :] rush - the spirit of radio.wav - 24.99MB
  13. I'm so glad that so many people want to participate! Personally, I'm going to do Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, and Closer to the Heart. :] I'm working on creating some karaoke backing tracks for you guys, when I get them, I'll put them in my first post.
