About 253 miles, or a 4 hour drive.

To be fair, a lot of modern country is more pop-country. Four-chord pop music with autotuned vocals, with a bit of country twang. Beyonce's lyrics refer to boots, booze, hoedowns and Texas, with what sounds like a banjo in the background. These days that's pretty much all you need.
You have me there. 80-ish percent of my country playlist is pre-1990. As far as your description of current "country" is concerned, it seems the drugstore cowboys (as we used to call them in Texas) have infiltrated country music!!
P.S. It's great to see you again, Bub! I hope you & yours are well.- 1

For the keyboard warriors on tRF, you'll be disappointed to know I won't be engaging in the trolling. You can have your sick and twisted little playground back, I won't be wasting my time on you.
Well.............bye.

I've heard the song and there's nothing country about it.

His knife fight with Dražak (Richard "Jaws" Kiel) was great.
Sgt. Weaver sure taught him a lesson: "Don't call me 'Blackie'..."
Yeah, man!!!

Currently I'm binge-watching Reacher season 2 for the 2nd time.
And I'm also bingeing Masters Of The Air & the book it's based on is next on my reading list after I finish reading J. J. Abrams' S.

The Holdovers. Paul Giamatti is one of my favorite modern actors but not even his mighty skills were enough to save this steaming pile of suck from itself. Slow, boring, & I could not care less about it's resolution and this review is me being nice.

He was cool in everything he did with my favorites being Force Ten From Navarone and (of course) Predator. RIP, Mr. Weathers, I'll miss you.

He most certainly was!

Here's the Amazon link:
Even tho it's technically a Wharncliffe blade profile, I heard one reviewer call it a "broken sword" & I love the heck out of that!

Knife fans, have any of you seen the Artisan Cutlery Proponent? I got one for Christmas and I absolutely love it! Mine is the D2 steel version with green G10 scales. This baby just flat-out performs!

I’m not a huge fan, but my kids really enjoy them. The Action Bible, To Kill a Mockingbird, God’s Dog, The Iliad, and The Odyssey are favorites around the Lutz household.
I used to love buying illustrated classics at elementary school book fairs.

My wife told me I have the world's worst sense of direction.
I was like: "where did that come from?!"

I just finished two very excellent ones, Batman & The Joker: Deadly Duo & Batman: Killing Time.
Darwyn Cooke's New Frontier is my favorite, right above The Dark Knight Returns. I also have Wolverine Vs. Predator pre-ordered on Amazon. It will be released in April.
Please recommend your favorites in this thread! I'm always on the lookout for a good one.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

I don't understand why people are worried about their cell phones, tablets, and other devices are spying on them when it's our vacuum cleaners that have been gathering dirt on us for years.

Does that mean my wrinkles are actually wisecracks?
