  1. They (Rush) really have a golden opportunity to make this an epic show. If this really IS it, then they should pull out all the stops and think outside of the box. I mean, make this show something that is talked about for a long time. Just blow us away. But I'm afraid we are going to get the standard fare. Which is fine, but what a wasted opportunity if they do.
  2. i thought the S&A and TM intro videos were funny...but the rest not so much. I would like to see more stuff like what they did with South Park and Stiller etc. Using well known comedians or current popular shows etc. Thought for sure by now Jack Black would have done a cameo. With all their connections and huge fans throughout the industry, I'm surprised we don't get bombarded with stuff from Family Guy, South Park, Trailer Park Boys (to make a few)
  3. Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm still scratching my head trying to decipher what that means. If they are truly doing a chronological setlist; then there is no way Big Money would get pushed to 2nd set. It's too recent, as opposed to older material. Perhaps there are 3-4 smaller sets and they keep re creating the stage to reflect different eras? It would be a brief interval (5-7 minutes) during the prop change and they would show smaller videos like the film montage etc to occupy our time. Huge stretch but ya never know haha
  4. That was my first thought too. 2112 would be the perfect opener. Or a major hit like TSOR, Limelight etc. But with the tour book spoilers and both Neil and Alex hinting at a chronological order, it is probably going to be Clockwork Angels IMO.
  5. Kinda like if they had two headline bands touring together (like the Yes n Toto tour at an arena near you!) Right, but the main difference is they have two separate road crews. And probably 2 main sound boards. And two different kinds of soup. :) Ahhh yes, the soup!
  6. Seems like a million years away.... :)

  8. That sounds likely. Have a black drop cover over it during 1st set (or whenever they need to reveal it) and then rotate the platform 180 deg for chrome kit. Hmmm.....maybe.
  9. I could be very wrong, but the idea of having two drum kits is a stretch. It sounds like a logistics nightmare trying to have two separate kits set up, mic'd etc. Maybe there is an easy way to accomplish it, but at the very least this sounds like double work for Gump. I guess that they could have both kits set up on a rolling platform and swap out during the intermission??? All would be needed is to run a separate run of mic cables to the drum/cymbal/gong mics and audio lines to the mallet Kat. Which would be very cool! But more than likely the Chrome kit will be used as a static piece or possibly used in a comedy sketch / parody.
  10. I hope you are right, but all signs point to Tom Sawyer as opening 2nd set.
  11. With alternating A/B setlist 1st Set Intro Video – “No Country For Old Hens” Clockwork Angels (Cluckwork Angels) The Anarchist (A) The Wreckers (B) Headlong Flight Far Cry (A) One Little Victory (B) Animate (A) Roll the Bones (B) Distant Early Warning (A) Big Money (B) New World Man (A) The Analog Kid (B) Kid Gloves (A) Red Lenses (B) Subdivisions 2nd Set Intro Video – “The World Is…The World Is” Tom Sawyer Limelight Red Barchetta YYZ The Camera Eye The Spirit of Radio Freewill Natural Science (A) Jacob’s Ladder (B) Drum Solo Prelude to Hemispheres Cygnus X-1 – Book One (Abbreviated) Closer to the Heart (Extended) Encore Intro Video – “Ask Al” 2112 - Overture, The Temples of Syrinx Medley: Fly By Night / Anthem / In the Mood / A Passage to Bangkok / In the End Working Man / 2112 – Grand Finale Outro Video – “Exit Stage Left”
  12. San Jose sold out the first week.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if they wore the kimonos at some point during the show. Much like like Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins did at the RRHOF.
  14. I agree with Experience2Extremes. A medley as an opener has been done and they probably won't rehash it. That doesn't mean it couldn't happen somewhere else in the set though. I have three theories: 1) Most likely is they open with an upbeat hit song like New World Man, Limelight etc. 2) Somewhat likely is they open with most or all of side 1 of 2112, which would be epic. 3) Least likely is they open with a song (maybe Working Man) off 1st album. Doing a chronological setlist, which has been hinted at by Alex and Neil.
  15. Initially I wasn't going to look. But since all signs point to this possibly being the last tour, I will look at the setlist. My show isn't until July. Knowing the songs in advance helps me enjoy it more in some strange way and doesn't make the whole concert experience fly by too quickly. :)
  16. San Jose sold out the first week. I can't imagine why opening night still (Tulsa) has tickets available. Now, if it was Garth Brooks...
  17. Tom Sawyer 1000000000000000000000000000000 % TSOR 99.9% Fly By Night 50% Force Ten 0%
  18. So that's now two members that have hinted at some sort of chronological order. Perhaps we should give the Prelude / Fry Cry rumor a rest. I also think any kind of R40 Overture is highly unlikely. It's not like Rush to repeat themselves. They will come up with a fresh approach.
  19. 5 songs I doubt they will play but I'd like to hear: Jacob's Ladder Time and Motion Vital Signs Available Light Cold Fire
  20. I think they will start the the show with: 2112 (I Overture , II The Temple of Syrinx) and end the concert with: 2112 (VII Grand Finale)
  21. Doubt they will open with a medley. I'd be suprised if they will rehash the R30 medley thing...at least not as an opener. I could see them doing something like that maybe later in the show though. New World Man, FBN or 2112 would all be great openers.
  22. I have always looked at the setlist in advance...since they have become available online. For me it adds to the experience knowing what songs are going to be played and in what order. However, since this may be my last opportunity, I'm going to test my willpower and not look. It's been so long since I've known in advance, that maybe not knowing will be fun too. :)
