  1. An ok album rendered useless by the works of the past.

Why play CA when you can play Hemispheres or 2112?

So you can laugh at religious people.

    Faith is a precious thing.

What does that have to do with what I said?

  2. This thread is amazing.

    Eat my poo-cheese!

    Will you grow up?

    There's "mature" people around here.

Says the guy who contradicts everyone like a "tortured" teen

How? I love Hemispheres but I'm not going to act all high and mighty and put others down for not liking it.

But if you don't like Presto you're a stupid jackass.

Rejecting the quality of anothers opinion.

    Mature.

I never said I was one of them.

  4. A member was wondering if he is the only one who doesn't like the album, so I thought it would be a good topic for a thread. :)

Immediately write yourself off as a Rush fan if you dislike Hemispheres. This album defines the essence of Rush

Rush.com agrees with you. So do I. I don't know how anyone could not like Hemispheres, but to each his/her own.

All of this fanboi snobbery is actually turning me off the album.

Who cares? Your IQ is too low anyway. ;) ;) Go drape some Christmas tinsel over your head and listen to Presto. You'll feel better.

I want to read what you typed before the edit.

The first two lines. In the edit, I added the last two.

More questions will cost more money.

I'm pretty sure it contained swearing.

Bet you hated the popular kid who everyone actually liked.

    I think I murdered him.

I would say 2112 or even Moving Pictures defines their "essence" over Hemispheres. But whatever you want to think...

Hemispheres was an extreme experiment for the band. That's why they moved on...

It wasnt as extreme a shift in style as Caress Of Steel was.

I thought that even when i wasnt keen.

    Caress of Steel > Hemispheres

  12. Beyond the Lighted Stage made both my wife and a good friend fans of Rush. I think Rush's story of friendship and overcoming persistent critical derision and dismissal can make a fan of folks who might otherwise be ambivalent or averse. Understanding Rush's story and what sets them apart can render the music much more palatable for the uninitiated. So go with BTLS—music and history all in one.

I have more than a few friends whose interest in the band increased due to seeing BTLS and either liking music they heard on there or liking the band.

Well we know now that's bs because you don't have more than a few friends.
