  1. There are so many 'little glimpses' into the little world inside her mind that it's scarry... wacko.gif Give that woman a "sedagive" stat!

    Oh wait...

"... incoming message from the Big Giant Head..."

    rofl3.gif

Toys, toys, toys,... in the attic!

  2. I'll be gone for more than a week because my Mom hurt herself and I'm going there to take care of her.

So, in light of that, here's the answer (big deal, I know!) and I'll be back soon.

"JOHN LENNON once declared he would rather have been a member of Python than the Beatles."

Although George and Ringo had the most "contact" with Python, it was Lennon who, apearhently either really liked Python, or really disliked being a Beatle. confused13.gif

Anyway, by default, because you were the only guesser this time...

    Sark takes the reigns! applaudit.gif

    You're up my friend!

    See ya soon. bekloppt.gif

Alright then, bananas! We haven't done bananas have we? tongue.gif

    I will guess Ringo then. (33.3% laugh.gif )

Shut up. Right now you, Mr Apricot.

    rofl3.gif

    No! laugh.gif

    Oh, man! I'm sorry!

It down to 50/50, eh? trink39.gif

I'll say it again, I had no idea either! wacko.gif laugh.gif For me anyway, it was the last person of the 4 that I would have picked... for what that's worth!

  4. QUOTE (Sark @ Feb 9 2006, 02:38 PM)
Was that George? (25% chance of success, so what the hell right? biggrin.gif )

Sorry for the delay... my bad! wink.gif

Actually NO! That's what I thought too. I was kind of suprised myself, and yes, you could use that as a hint, if you want! one down, 3 to go! smile.gif

  5. QUOTE (Arndrake @ Feb 9 2006, 06:24 AM)
btw, did anyone notice the MacGuyver Mastercard commercial? It showed a bunch of little MacGuyverisms as Mac escapes from an exploding industrial building. Then it shows Mac using his Mastercard to buy all of the little items (like the air freshener tree and the panty hose) used during his escape. I thought it was kind of cute. But trying to make Richard Dean Anderson look twenty years younger was just not doable.

I thought the SAME THING! rofl3.gif

  6. Hello again Sark! Thanks... well, I guess I'll go then...

This is an easy one, seeing as there are only 4 possible answers! (But I had never heard this before.... AND I don't know why!)

Who once declared he would rather have been a member of Python than the Beatles?

  7. QUOTE (Dread Pirate Robert @ Feb 3 2006, 08:04 PM)
In all honesty, however,  this thread arose purely as an unintentional byproduct of my being really drunk on Bigfoot Ale at a time when Animal House came on and then feeling inspired to praise that movie wink.gif

"My advice to you... is to start drinking heavily."

Oh wait... too late! wacko.gif laugh.gif

-War's over. Wormer dropped the big one.

-What? "Over"? Did you say "Over"? Nothing's over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!

    -Germans?

    -Forget it, he's rolling."

  9. Missing some of your "Favorites" icons?

    FavOrg

    Description:

"Favicons are usually lost when you delete your Temporary Internet Files, but FavOrg preserves them. The program also lets you associate any icon you choose with a given shortcut, even if no favicon is provided. Since FavOrg must check the validity of an Internet shortcut before attempting to download the favicon, it automatically flags dead links as it goes through your Favorites list. If you like, it can update redirected links or reset dead links to the site's root."

The Enemy Within and The Weapon are the best, I think, so you should check them out...

The Weapon! Now there's a song they should pull out of the vault for the next tour! 1022.gif

Of course, this is where you might expect to see an actual ANSWER to the question(s)... but that is where you'd be mistaken this time! tongue.gif  Not a clue to either of these (although "The Royal Shakespeare Company" seems to jog something in my memory, but I just can't think of what! confused13.gif )

Ok, I should have mentioned that both questions refer to the same sketch.

    More hints?

De Vega sounds like a Spanish name. And of course it's somewhat naughty. wink.gif

Still nothing... eh.gif I think we need more info... confused13.gif

  12. It seems most of us have "had to put up with looney types much too often," which explains a lot about all of us! laugh.gif

    "SHUT THAT BLOODY BAZOUKI OFF!"

"Figures. Predictable, really I suppose. It was an act of purest optimism to have posed the question in the first place."

  13. As a young minister, I was asked by a funeral director to hold a grave-side service for a homeless man, with no friends or family, who had died while traveling through the area. The funeral was to be held at a cemetery way back in the country, and this man would be the first to be laid to rest there. As I was not familiar with the backwoods area, I became lost; and being a typical man did not stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late. I saw the backhoe and the crew who was eating lunch, but the hearse was nowhere in sight. I apologized to the workers for my tardiness, and stepped to the side of the open grave, where I saw the vault lid already in place. I assured the workers I would not hold them long, but this was the proper thing to do.

The workers gathered around, still eating their lunch. I poured out my heart and soul. As I preached the workers began to say "Amen", "Praise the Lord", & "Glory." I preached and I preached, like I'd never preached before, from Genesis all the way to Revelation. I closed the lengthy service with a prayer and walked to my car. I felt I had done my duty for the homeless man and that the crew would leave with a renewed sence of purpose and dedication, in spite of my tardiness. As I was opening the door and taking off my coat, I overheard one of the workers saying to another "I ain't never seen anything like this before.... and I've been putting in septic tanks for over twenty years!"

You're Patsy the Loyal, Trusty Servant: you're a very quiet person, uttering only one statement here and there, but it's only because you're too busy thinking of more important things - like what the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow truly is.

Yeah, I seem to recall having a Python cd in which they mention this. I'll have to dig it out. Oh, and yes Python trivia will not die! laugh.gif
