Okay, f**k what I said earlier. I just bought a ticket for the Chicago show. And I'm thinkin of even dropping the extra 50 bucks for the VIP thing from Radiant Records. It would be worth that much just to be able to meet Roine Stolt.

Reddit's good if you like wasting time! -
In the past few days I've downloaded "The Rainmaker" and "Adam & Eve" by the Flower Kings, as well as ordered "Unfold the Future" on CD. Rainmaker sounds like a dud to me, Adam & Eve is awesome. Unfold the Future should kick ass if that Hasse-hole doesn't sing 90% of the time.

Aw man. :( Super sorry, Slaps.

In the Presence Of is fantastic! As well as the rest of Magnification. -
Your five least favorite songs ever?
Tarkus406 replied to KenJennings's topic in Music Of The Spheres
There's this song called "I Don't Care". I don't know who by, and frankly, I DON'T CARE. I hate it. Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines is absolutely terrible. I hate hearing that ridiculous Michael Jackson "WOO!" 8000 times. f**k that guy and to hell with Alan Thicke for for producing that moron! -
Yeah I'll have to rely on DVDs for live stuff. That's one thing I miss about living in New England. I could always make at least ONE concert of a band I like. The nearest Transatlantic show to here is Chicago, over 6 hours away on a week day. MAYBE if it were on a weekend.... Another thing that sucks is the fact that in the future, Rush among other classic bands will slow down and altogether cease touring. So I've been trying to get into more recent bands. Astra, Flower Kings, and Transatlantic are awesome (Spock's Beard sounds good, too, I just haven't listened to much), however, they do most of their touring in Europe! What does it take to tour the US?

Exit...Stage Left would have been my choice. I absolutely love that cover... Power Windows and Hold Your Fire would have turned me away, however... Edit: Sorry about the double post!

I just hope they do a US tour that includes a little more than just the coastal cities and Chicago...

New FK fan here. I bought Stardust We Are and found it to be a bit boring at first. Like, it just dragged on and on with nothing that really caught me, other than the first couple of tracks. But then as I listened more times and picked up the melodies in other songs, even the "filler" stuff started to click. Now I love the album, especially the title track. Last weekend I bought Space Revolver and found that album to be absolutely incredible from the first listen. Now I'm like "I NEED MORE" but I need to make purchases sparingly.

Disappointed that Belew is not part of this....

I wish these guys would tour the US. I'm very interested in seeing them live. I watched Duel with the Devil on youtube and was promptly blown away. I was weary of even checking them out because I loathe anyone or anything associated with Dream Theater. However, I've really been digging Roine Stolt and the Flower Kings lately, which led me to Transatlantic. Can anyone tell me how the Whirlwind album is? Worth checking out or no?

The list of Rush fans who are blonde, buzz cut, African American singers for an indie soul/pop band with a shirt that says "Bitch" is probably not a long one. But I could be wrong. Your avatar is awesome.

I thought the album releases on Sep 30?

Why must it be that 85% of each thread regarding Vapor Trails is a discussion about Goob's hatred for the record?

Be careful when you turn 60. Please. -My random fact? I watched The Andromeda Strain last night. That's about as interesting as I get.

As a person who was really excited about seeing the Manhattan Project during the tour, I'm disappointed it's not included in the main setlist. I was looking forward to blasting that one in the car (in sequence, of course)

I'd actually consider getting that poster.. Indeed...great poster. The blimp makes it - that and the rare use of a blue motif in a Rush poster. Yes, like a nice rug can pull together a room, the blimp helps make this cover. Wonderful cover. Most attractive dvd cover since Rio, and the blue is a nice counterpart to the redness that is CA. :ebert: http://i.imgur.com/XS5LK.gif

The guitar solo on the remixed version of Earthshine is fantastic sounding...so if that's any indication of what's to come...

Those clips suck balls, but they certainly do show signs of big changes! I could tell the vocals were really brought out, which is definitely what it needed.

Best shit everrrr Why won't they play this again?!
