  1. I did the same for Hou. Couldn't get anything to pop up on Floor 1 level on Music Today so, by 12:06 I said screw it and pulled the trigger on VIP. I just hope my seats are center floor after getting bent over for $650...I'll be pissed if I'm shoved off to the sides and for sure that will be the end of VIPNation for me.
  2. Nearly 3 months after the Tulsa, OK show I FINALLY received my VIP package BUT...THE FRIGGIN THING WAS TORN and so was the POSTER. AGHHHH!!! Talk about being spit in the face! Anyone know who to contact to escalate this. This is just ridiculous!
  3. A Live Nation lady contacted me 2-3 wks ago to apologize and get my shipping info but, I still don't have mine. Maybe she is personally walking it to Houston from California. I gotta rank this VIP promo FAIL somewhere between the "Ford Pinto" and "New Coke" ...epic FAIL!
  4. Here are my pics from 3rd row, center stage in Tulsa. RUSH BOK Center 09.21.2010
  5. I'll second that. As usual they didn't disappoint. I was 2 rows behind ya and never noticed any issues with Ged's equip. Saw the busted drum being swaped out but it was in between songs so no disruptions to music.
  6. T minus 26 hrs until the Tulsa show and STILL, no VIP package. Not even an email. ShowTech Merch = FAIL!
  7. ^^^ Anyone got a decoder ring for what he just said?
  8. I still have a pair I'm willing to part with...Sect 107, Row P. I'd like to get my $220 bucks back out of them if possible. PM if interested.
  9. I know what you mean. I thought about selling my pair and upgrading to a better single seat but for whatever reason tickets to this show have been hard to come by. The resellers that still have tix are gouging prices like crazy. Let me know as soon as you can. Otherwise I'm planning on listing them on eBay.
  10. I was planning on taking my daughter but she has a barrel race that evening and family is coming in from out of town. I'm already going to the show in Tulsa so, I'm willing to part with my Houston tickets. The seats are located in Sect 107, middle of Row P. PM me if interested.
  11. I really do not understand why they did this VIP package the way they did. The local DMV treats their customers with more respect than we've seen here. I seriously doubt anyone would claim they bought the VIP package for anything other than the ticket itself. That being said, why in the world would they package all the extra crap in there if they couldn't deliver it in a timely fashion...i.e. at least a couple weeks before the show. This VIP deal has been an epic FAIL in my book. Next time, I hope they (whomever "they" is in this case) learn their lesson and just call a spade a spade and charge more for the close seats, minus the extra frills. Not delivering the extras from the package just leaves a bad taste in people's mouths that could have been avoided altogether.
  12. I have an extra pair of center floor tix to Tulsa show. I bought these thru the Music Today presale since they went on sale before the VIP ones. I decided to try my luck and managed to get 3rd row center VIP seats so, now i need to offload my other floor seats. I'll let 'em go for face value to a fan. The two tickets are in center Floor Section F4, Row E. These are really good seats and should be in the acoustic sweet spot. I have them in hand. Post questions and I'll respond. PM me if interested.
  13. As a matter of fact I have two to sell. I bought a pair in the Music Today presale and then tried the VIP deal later and got lucky with a pair of 3rd row center stage. So, I need to off load my original pair which are very good too. Floor F4, Row E I have been procrastinating putting them up on eBay in hopes of selling them to a friend, or in this case a fellow fan. Let me know if you are interested.
  14. RUSH is a given Metallica ...never seen a bad show Megadeth...they are the Rush of metal. That is: outstanding musicians that are generally brushed aside by the masses Iron Maiden is great too but Janick Gers is just a 5th wheel now that Adrian is back. IMO, Janick's antics take away from what could be considered phenomenal. He's just out of place. More like a court jester. Seems more fit for a Spinal Tap show. U2 always brings it too Also, Coldplay. I went to my first show without any expectations and they just blew me away. Saw them indoors and out. The indoor show was better just because of the ability to do the entire production which was limited outdoors due to the lower tent roof line. The music itself was very well played. I highly recommend seeing Coldplay live if you even remotely enjoy their music.
  15. QUOTE (RUDT @ May 30 2010, 06:47 AM)I don't enjoy anymore watching a show of Rush with screen in the back like your watching some videos. I just want see a good light show like they did decades ago when they were not too much screens projections. I don't want be distract by all that stuff. What about you? http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg61/ashpkt/andy-rooney.png I didn't know Andy Rooney was a RUSH fan
  16. I have an extra pair of very good central floor seats (Sec F4, Row E) to the Rush show coming to Tulsa's BOK Center in Sept. They are just about perfect with respect to acoustics/visuals. My brother and I were able to get 3rd row VIP tickets so, we're going to treat ourselves to those instead. PM me if interested, otherwise I will post them on eBay. http://frontline.images.tickets.com/images/privatelabel/BOKC_RUSH_OVPI.jpg
  17. Searched everywhere online and even called. After speaking with a tickets.com rep he said rows begin with "A" and seats are numbered from "Right to Left" when looking at the online section chart. I hope he is right b/c I just scored 3rd row dead center. Does anyone have a detailed seat chart that shows how seats are numbered at BOK Center? I'll be really pissed if he was incorrect and seats are "left to right"
  18. Redemption is sooo sweet! After being screwed by the Houston presale I nearly gave up the thought of trying again. Just for the heck of it, at 10:08am I went to Music Today to see what I could score for the Tulsa show. After just a few minutes of searching and throwing seats back...up pops center floor seats in Sec F4, Row E. That's two sections in front of mixer...perfect both acoustically and visually!!! And I'll be able to see family while I'm in town and go to the show with my brother. Today is a good day.
  19. QUOTE (ashpkt @ May 1 2010, 05:04 PM) I'll set the over/under on the 2nd row pit auction at $1100/ea If you took the "Over" ..."Winner! Winner! Chicken dinner!!!" http://www.ticketmaster.com/auction/0C0044...ink=edp_auction
  20. Thankfully I was able to snag two in 107, middle of row P for my daughter and I. She's only 10 and will be attending her second show. I don't know if it's the whole Moving Pictures deal or what but it seems there is an onslaught of broker activity for this show. It doesn't help that a large portion of the best section (102) is season ticket box seating. Leaves nothing but crap for public. And yes, the idiots on the auction have lost their minds. So much for down economy! I'll set the over/under on the 2nd row pit auction at $1100/ea
  21. Holy crap Batman!!! The event just disappeared from TM. I can't fathom that there is really that much demand for this gig
  22. QUOTE (animateme @ Apr 30 2010, 01:00 PM) I got a couple of pre-sale tickets for the Houston show that I am not too comfortable with and I am thinking about maybe trying to grab 2 other tickets when the public TM sale opens, if I get anything that I like better. My question is, if I do purchase the 2 extra tickets, will I be able to sell the other 2 at face value easily? Has anyone ever sold extra tickets either through the forums or at the venue the day of the concert? I would just not want to end up with the extra tickets and not be able to sell them... Thanks for sharing any comments on this. Let me know what seats they are and I might be interested in buying. Nevermind...we spoke before. I know where yours are. I'll give you a shout if I have no luck in the public sale this AM
  23. QUOTE (animateme @ Apr 29 2010, 10:31 AM)Thank you very much ashpkt, if you are able to post those pictures it would be great. I surely would appreciate it to get an idea of the view. 1st pic is without zoom. The others have some zoom. As you can see, only 2 of the 3 screens are visible from center of row R in sect 101. You can see, just not the whole stage. Another issue I have is the priximity to the stage left speaker tower. It's not that it was too loud, it's that you here it on your left and not so much on your right but, that's to be expected I guess. http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg61/ashpkt/IMG_0002.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg61/ashpkt/IMG_0008.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg61/ashpkt/IMG_0030.jpg http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg61/ashpkt/IMG_0075.jpg
  24. QUOTE (CountFloyd @ Apr 27 2010, 11:10 PM) The auction on ticketbastard was not to bad in 08 for Houston. Worth watching. http://www.ticketmaster.com/auction/0C0044...ink=edp_auction I went with 6 row out of the pit right section but seats close to the center section. Citibank popped noting but the rear sections from the time gates opened. So much for the auction; I just got bumped off the board. The Houston auction just officially got ridiculous. Don't these idiots realize there are 4 days left in the auction?!?!?!
  25. They are reluctant to reveal seat numbers in fear of them being revoked/cancelled due to violation of reselling them. I always ask for a "range" of seats to narrow down their location. I get a response like "2 tickets between seat numbers 15-20" or something like that. That's close enough to gauge whether or not they are decent.
