  1. I for one am also tired of the bitchers and whiners who are upset this or that won't be played. "Quit Your Bitchin Babies!" Go have fun!
  2. Bringing my 12 and 14 year old boys to their first RUSH show (my 12th). They've never been to any live shows and are only casual fans of RUSH but I'm pretty sure this will seal the deal! http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q224/briremo/Iphonepics092.jpg
  3. +1 for WPB baby! There is no way they are not going to record this tour. Look at the cost of this stage and set! You can't let that go to waste for 40 dates.
  4. I've seen other bands with shirts in the $25 range and some others in the $60 range (Spyro Gyro). I will NOT be buying a tour book because all the photos are from the last tour, which is asinine if you ask me. I know it would be impossible to sell pics from this in this tour's tour book, but I want pics from this tour.
  5. QUOTE (red sector animal @ Jul 1 2010, 09:31 PM) I hope next they come out with the "Rush punks you and you'll take it" tour.. Setlist1: Rivendell High water Dog Years All of COS Tai Shan Hour break for soup and salads Then Warpaint Faithless Red Tide Nobodys Hero Virtuality Ceiling unlimited Tears The color of right. Oncore: Roll the Bones -the song- complete Cold Fire Good news First. Then they take a bow, give the crowd the finger, and take off...
  6. no it was at the very end as the music is fading out. Heard on the Youtube post.
  7. yeah, no setlist changes according to Ged in his interview last week with Mr. I'm a cool guy that's all tatted out but I cant remember one friggin question without looking at my note cards. What a choade. Questions like. "It must've been so cool recording that album, what was it like?"
  8. QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ Jul 1 2010, 01:39 PM) Is that the only part of the song that you like? No but they did ad "bring out your dead" which is funny...and a little wierd. I liked it.
  9. In that interview last week with the idiot reading note cards and asking stupid questions, Geddy said there would be no changes on this tour because it's so short with about 40 dates. ON longer tours they can tool with it but he said there is really no point.
  10. Here's a link to the H&K website where Alex is featured. there's some real close up shots of his rig and it says a video is coming soon. Sa-weet! http://www.hughes-and-kettner.com/news.php5?id=606
  11. QUOTE (lifeson70 @ Jul 1 2010, 11:21 AM) I'm in love!! hahaha she is hot. looks like she's there with her mom too.
  12. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jun 29 2010, 09:32 PM) well sorry to say, but this is bullsh-t. About the only songs I want to hear are Marathon and Camera Eye. then go away pansy
  13. QUOTE (farcryoverspilledmilk @ Jun 29 2010, 09:17 PM) Sorry everyone this set list is weak sauce. Very weak. Working Them Angels? Leave That Thing Alone in the first set on its own? ZZZZZZ...Faithless? ZZZZZZ. Stick It Out the worst CP song next to Speed of Love? Seriously, once word spreads that this is the set list you are going to see the fence sitters stay home. I met one in Best Buy today when buying the movie and he hadn't gotten his tickets yet to the NJ show he was planning on going to with his friends and I told him the rumored set list. He was pissed. Fan since 76 and was not happy at all. I have been a fan since 79 and I like all era's of Rush but I am being a realist here...this set blows. why are you such a putz. next time i see you im going to tell you how ridiculous your 22" wheels look on that Gremlin you drive. Piss up a rope you friggin wet blanket.
  14. omg those rehearsal pics look effing awesome!
  15. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jun 29 2010, 07:23 PM) BTW, Eric (who runs Power Windows) has a Twitter feed here that you can use to post updates in this thread. nice hook up! Thanks!
  16. Please use this thread as a landing spot for all new pics from the tour!
  17. QUOTE (Hemispheres89 @ Jun 29 2010, 06:15 PM) Here's how I TRULY feel about this setlist now.. 1. Spirit of Radio - HELL YES! 2. Time Stands Still - YES! 3. Stick It Out - OK! (but could be something else.. but not complaining) 4. Presto - perfectly fine with it, but my only worry is I'll feel sleepy during it if it's not "hard" enough. Especially after the first few high energy songs. 5. Workin' Them Angels - UGGH! 6. Leave That Thing Alone - AWESOME! 7. Faithless - DOUBLE UGGH!! 8. BU2B - my lesser favourite of the two new songs, but still good! 9. Freewill - YES! 10. Marathon - I think I just creamed myself! 11. Subdivisions - Already seen it live but pretty sure I'll ALWAYS love this one. 12-18. Moving Pictures album - the reason why I was eagerly buying tickets from the get-go! 19. Caravan - I can't WAIT to hear this one live! 20-21. Solos - Can't wait for Neil's. The highlight of the entire show, for me. 22. Closer To The Heart - Meh. 23. 2112 - ......... says it all right there 24. Far Cry - Good! But as an encore?! 25. La Villa Strangiato - The driving force behind making me reconsider this setlist when i didn't liek it at first glance. My favourite Rush song! 26. Working Man - ..and I thought I'd cream myself only once tonight I am digging this tour now, despite my original claims. 100% agree on all of it.
  18. Whoever is going tonight please see if there are more styles available (ie Neil's shirt) and some womens designs. I'd like to get some ahead of the show we're attending on Oct 2. But if more styles are available we may wait.
  19. I have some disappointments with the setlist too but what band do you ever see and not come out thinking "I wish they would've played this or that"....? I'm bringing my 12-14 yr old teen kids and they are thrilled to just to get a chance to see them. So we have to sit through a couple yawners. Pee break! BTW, for a number of reasons I have a feeling this is their last tour. I may be wrong, but I see more dissension among the band, they're getting older, I don't see this going on forever and this is not the kind of band to do a farewell tour. I doubt any of them need the money.
  20. the stage doesnt look 100% complete. all of Alex's electronics are missing. But it looks like the machines behind Alex are labelled Hughes & Ketner. Must be new models! None of Ged's stuff is up either. Keyboards missing. I doubt they'll go back to a 4th person playing keys at the mixing board??? Hmmmm. I always thought that was cheezy. Edit> that is one big ass screen though!
  21. QUOTE (jesse2112 @ Jun 28 2010, 05:51 PM) Amazing better easily surpasses S&A and R30 There are a couple songs I'd like to swap but I agree it is better than the SA tour. Id have a hard time saying its better than R30 tour though. Im REAL happy with the encore!
  22. IM all for this myself for the same exact reasons. Bringing the kids and wife and am going to make a disc for them to "get with it". Of course once the setlist gets issued I could mix up the songs to surprise them with the order. Doesn't much bother me to know everything I can about the show.
  23. congrats man! good on ya! So jealous. Alex is my other self.
  24. 100% on board with these. First tried em at a Candlebox gig (awesome live band BTW) and used them ever since. Better sound, attenuated just enough but loud enough for the rock concert experience.
