If you really want to sicken yourself go on the the Stubhub site and see what these thieves are charging. Just looking at Tampa was enough to make me vomit. I pray that these pricks go bankrupt.
I can't tell you how happy I was to get the news that dozens of ticket brokers wound up screwing Super Bowl ticket buyers becuase they couldn't get the tickets they promised. Feel sorry for the buyers, but the whole thing is has become a gross scam.
Give me back the days of waiting in line over night at the record store....
-
Its not the point. The point is one half a second into the "pre-sale" there are no tickets available. Why even do a pre-sale anymore if this is the outcome? Why not just put them all on sale at once, limit 4 per buyer and let everyone in. This broker crap is beyond ridiculous. I will never buy from a ticket broker again. ever.
Oh come on people, tickets always get released close to show date. The hardest part is having the big balls to sit and wait

so after trying repeatedly all day, I login again and the various price levels that were avaibale arent even listed now and of course no tickets are available.

Tampa presale - started at 10 am sharp, kept trying for 50 minutes.... only message:
- At this moment there are not enough tickets available to fulfill your request. Please try again using a lower quantity of tickets or choosing a different ticket type.
- Currently there are not enough Floor Price One tickets to fulfill your request.

It sucks.
I just an email to SRO Management. What a crock. I feel like an idiot for caring so much. I feel like a Pavlovian automoton.

IVe been trying for over an hour and still nothing. No VIP, NO best available nothing.
-
I can't even BUY VIP seats if I wanted , they're not even available...at $400 bucks a seat.
-
seriously, I'm done.
Ive seen RUSH every tour but one over 35 years and am so pissed right now I cant even begin to describe it. $175 (incl fees) is ridiculous. I can afford VIP too, but some things just aren't worth it. Eff it

i came across that video while i was watching this dude

cool. on my list now

The reason why Buffalo sold well is because the city was ignored on the last tour. RUSH needs to mix it up a bit from tour to tour. Abscence makes the heart grow fonder.
Yep. in October 2010 they ended the first leg of the TMT tour in West Palm Beach. 6 months later they started the second leg of the tour in Ft Lauderdale 30 miles down the road. Seemed stupid to me.

me likey

I prefer outdoor for acoustics. The Tampa and West Palm aphitheaters sound fantastic, no echo or slap from the back of the room.
-
streaming? no. But i do get choked up...
-
its hard to even find smalls at the shows. usually medium is it. the good news is kids will grow into....then out of it.

Yesterday my son wore his TMT shirt (moving pictures version with Starman) to school (Freshman/HS). One of his teachers came up to him and told him he shouldn't be glorifying Satan.
I just left the school where I met with the teacher and A) told him he had no business scaring the crap out of my son and I explained what the starman is all about so maybe next time he won't look so ignorant to the students.

QUOTE (thesweetscience @ Oct 15 2012, 08:16 PM) QUOTE (clem @ Oct 15 2012, 09:13 PM) I'm a fan of their music as well. A lot of people dissed them, though, when they opened for Rush on the CP tour. I remember them being major cool. The guitarist played a bit of a riff from "Fly By Night" and "Limelight" as a teaser at different times during their set.
ClemCheck out their new stuff. It is really very good.
The "Into the Sun" album is so good my wife listens to it!
And if you don;t cry listening to his tribute to his father "miss you' you have no soul!

I was living in South Florida at the time and went to the old Miami Arena.
I remember walking into the arena and asking my buddy, who's opening? He said Candlebox. I was like, WTF is a Candlebox? They rocked the place!
Been a huge ever since!

KM was doing a pre-show interview at a local radio station last Friday and the subject of great live bands came up. KM gives extensive kudos to RUSH at about 10:22 (and mentions RRHOF). BTW, I'm a huge CB fan and saw them live first when they opened for RUSH back in the day.

I did not expect to hear this when I was listening to the interview!!!

Guitar purchase nightmare
in Making Modern Music
Posted
So we were up in the mountains of NC skiing over the winter break and as usual on a rainy day i decided to look up any local music shops to check them out. Found a place called Appalachian Music in Boone near the ski area and decided to go check them out.
I'm a Martin player so I was really surprised to see some great guitars at great prices, like really good prices. I've been pining over (and saving for) a GPCPA4 with a shaded top and they didnt have one but he offered to order one for me and have it shipped. He offered me a killer deal neither I (nor even my wife) could refuse. The guy's been in business a long time, serves the diverse and thriving local music scene and college and he was rated very well by newspapers etc.
Well, you see where this is going. He received the guitar from Martin on the 23rd of Jan and shipped it back out to me the next day. But then it disappeared. Gone! Poof!
Tracking shows it left the sorting facility in NC last Wednesday, the day he dropped it off, and it hasn't been seen or heard from since.
In all honesty he's been very on top of it and helpful, and yes, he purchased insurance for it but i just know someone snatched this thing from the mail room and its in someone's living room. It's gonna take weeks before anything gets settled from it.
Question is: Do i order a new one from him? Just get my money back? what would you do?
