  1. That would be a barracuda! trash fish. don't eat them. We caught about 20 dolphin all day. I got skunked which is a rarity, but on the way in I nailed this one on a weed line about a mile off shore. I wound up with big fish of the day and off the hook for buying drinks! Yay!
  2. QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Jul 18 2010, 08:31 PM) Cranked out some Dixie Dregs while I was doing that. you might like this then..

  4. QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Jul 18 2010, 05:10 PM) QUOTE (briremo @ Jul 18 2010, 04:10 PM) Fishing trip in the keys. Most of the others I'm shirtless and drunk. Not pretty! http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q224/briremo/briangoinfishin.jpg Is that a bottle of Pepto?.... IDK WTF it is! But that was about 7:00AM after a hard night of drinkin' at a club that featured "Big Dick and the Extenders". Fun as hell. Dick is a big Indian and he sang mostly southern rock tunes and told the funniest friggin jokes! We fished till 5 that day here's the big one... http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q224/briremo/brianscuda.jpg

  7. QUOTE (marblesmike @ Jul 18 2010, 02:35 PM) I never saw that pic as being of Alex in pain. He's been making those faces during guitar solos for years. It's like he's really into it, and as a musician myself, many of us have our trademark facial expressions when in the groove. Either that, or he's pinching a big loaf :-D yeah, the point was his hands show no signs of discoloration, not whether or not he's in pain! He's just gettin into it!

  10. QUOTE (randyferron @ Jul 18 2010, 11:04 AM) QUOTE (Mara @ Jul 16 2010, 08:54 PM) I believe he has psoriasis or something similar that flares up from time to time and affects his hands. Maybe why always wears long sleeves? I thought about that, after seeing him time after time in long sleeves, but he is short sleeves in many of his recent shots. I looked up psoriasis on wiki and to my surprise it is not always accompanied with skin discoloration, so maybe its not an issue with him. It does cause discomfort though. See my pic below.
  11. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Jul 17 2010, 02:09 PM) QUOTE (briremo @ Jul 17 2010, 12:38 PM) nothing short of spectacular! Best Film I've seen in years, YEARS! The director toys with us, thrills us and literrlly leaves us breathless. There were several points in the film where you could hear the whole audience reminding themselves to breathe. The score was emothional and bombastic, reminding you that 'you aint seen nothing like it'. Staggering images and scenes that portray more than story line. You will have to see it again! The last 20 seconds of film are well,,,you gotta see it. Literally leaves you breathless? Like what, they suck all the air out of the theater so you can't breathe? Literally? Damn, that doesn't sound like a good time, to me. Some of the scenes are so intense that you forget to breathe. I'm serious, everyone sitting around me did the same exact thing after one of these long tense scenes. You could hear everyone sucking in a big breath at the same time and then go "whew!" Superior film making. At its highest art form. And the end of the film...Chris Nolan just pokes you in the eye to let you know he's been in total control of you! Awesome.

  13. It appears all the WPB tickets are gone in reserved seating, except for what the scalpers are holding that may be released later. Lawn seats still available. I'm happy all the griping and pissing and moaning has disappeared. This looks to be a killer show.
  14. Yeah, bring the camera. Just go early enough so if they don't let you in with it you can run it back to the car.
  15. QUOTE (Gompers @ Jul 14 2010, 03:26 PM) QUOTE (Mrs. Huck Rogers @ Jul 14 2010, 11:22 AM) To a certain extent, thought does influence action. If you think you will do poorly in a competition, chances are you've beaten yourself psychologically already and hence your performance is shite. Etc. To a certain degree, coincidence comes into play. I do believe though that there is something to this however. Keeping a positive attitude brings goodness. You can take just about any bad circumstance and find something good about it. Of all people I personally know, as well, I tend to find that optimists attract optimists and the same goes for pessimists. This isn't to say there is no instance of the intermingling. Generally, like attracts like. isn't Karma based on the same principals? What you put out you get back. I agree with this mentality. Sit in a corner and say "life sucks" every day and I doubt you'll go far. If you say "I'm gonna do something about the shit I'm in right now" and reinforce positive actions, good shit happens to you. Its simple. But you are the one making things happen. Not "the universe". Successful people surround themselves with other successful people, not losers and shitbags. That's why the rich get righer and the poor sit around going "Dammit, I wish I could sue somebody." Make your life worthwile. Lost your job. Buy a bucket and some rags and go wash windows. Bake cookies and go door to door to businesses and sell them. Or buy an eight ball, add some sorbitol and split it up into little $40 baggies and make a killing. forget that last part....
  16. I read that tourbook post yesterday and it sure as hell sounds to me like we might get some epic stuff! I was shocked at the lengtth of Caravan! What? 7 Minutes? But if this is a concept album writen by Peart, I hope we don't get 40 minutes about how stoopid spiritual people are.

  18. QUOTE (darth by tor @ Jul 14 2010, 07:56 AM) It looks like I may have a meet a greet pass for the Mohegan Sun show on Monday Does anyone know what time do the meet and greets take usually place? !!!! did you buy a VIP package and win or do you have other means for access? Just curious. I'm curious if every VIP buyer gets in. SRO and Anthem told me only VIP package winners get in and radio station contest winners. I call BS on this as there are probably 15-20 M&G photos from every stop and I know there is only one or two rock stations in each market so where do all the people come from? SRO and ANthem were adament there is NO OTHER way to get access. Bullshit.
  19. Several threads have discussed where to buy, when to buy and from which sources. For those of us without the cajones to wait until the day of show for qty 2 or 4, 3rd row seats we need to get them in hand. SO if the ebay and SH sellers are listing them say $600 each for a pair of front row seats, has anyone here had any luck emailing the seller with a lower offer? I've tried this to no avail, but don't have the balls to hold out to 3 days before the show. I can't imagine these guys want to get stuck holding seats...
  20. chris is typing another longwinded reply so here's my chance. I respect chris but hink he's standing on the back of his high horse trying to protect us all from a problem that only exists in the mind of attorneys. Saying things like LiveNation is running rough-shod over people's rights is a little extreme, doncha think. concert rescheduled dude. Get a life. Friggin attorneys always trying to make an issue out of nothing. Oops! I just spilled coffee in my lap. HELP! I need a consumer protection attorney!
  21. To the OP, I know exactly how you feel and was totally jazzed to read that as I had a similar experience with me RUSH show last tour in Orlando. 2nd row in front of Alex and we had a few nods and acknowledgments back and forth. When the encore started a shirt came right into my hands as he looked right at me like "here bud, glad you've been a fan all your life." it was awesome. http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q224/briremo/2of3.jpg
  22. My Big Money's on the BlueFest producing it. I also didn't see any moving shots from the dolly on the Jordan Craig Video shown above. Which is noce BTW. http://web.me.com/JordanCraigMedia/JordanC...edia/index.html
  23. I've looked at a couple of the other videos on youtube and don't see the same camera set up so it may not be for the set. I doubt VERY seriously a local news channel would install a remote controlled PTZ camera dolly for 10 seconds of video. It might be a for a third party documentary or a DVD. Unusual they would record this early in the tour. Althoug consider this show takes place as part of the bluesfest and perhaps another entity is recording the event from that perspective as well. Most likely I would guess.
  24. you gotta hand it to the kid, he knows how to make it up as he goes.
