  1. Some of my favorite females: Tori Amos Shirley Manson (Garbage) Dolores O'Riordian (The Cranberries) Gwen Stefani (No Doubt) Hayley Williams (Paramore) Alanis Morissette
  2. I'll be wearing a Rush shirt.............and seeing Tool
  3. My favorite would have to be Maynard James Keenan, but I think Robert Plant is the best.
  4. Vital Signs was the first thing that came to my mind. All the epic-ness that is Moving Pictures, the way VS breaks down and closes out is spectacular. "Everybody got to deviate from the norm...." ~Rushgasm~
  5. QUOTE (metaldad @ Nov 1 2011, 01:23 PM) I just went to see Ace last Wed. He had to restart 2 songs because he f-ed up He sang the same verse for an Entire song He fell off the stage Sober My ASS I saw Ace last week as well. He seemed pretty good to me! Amazing show. My ears rang for three days.
  6. oh you guise Last I read, the band is taking the rest of the summer off and should be getting back together in the fall to finish up the album. I think it should be out by the Spring.
  7. Oh come on guys. He's offering to buy you a beer too!
  8. QUOTE (Mara @ Oct 4 2010, 04:53 PM) QUOTE (Phantom @ Oct 4 2010, 04:38 PM) The full 25 minute un-edited version is up on rushisaband. What caught me by surprise was that John Roberts touched on the " dark days " of Rush. Given that Neil avoids interviews for reasons such as these, I wasn't expecting Roberts to bring that up. And he stuck with it... asking Ged and Alex about it as well. Neil looked so horribly uncomfortable at that point, and who can blame him. He handled himself well though when Roberts was looking to continue the topic... politely interjecting with " on to happier subjects..... " No wonder Neil avoids these types of interviews. Who can blame him? Neil handled that like a champ. That.....is exactly why Neil doesn't do interviews. It was great up until that. It totally cast a dark vibe over the rest of the interview.

  10. QUOTE (peoplecanteatmachinefood @ Jul 25 2010, 06:13 PM) QUOTE (Shreddy Lee @ Jul 25 2010, 06:01 AM) The only other thing of note was someone apparently throwing a shirt or something similar in Geddy's direction, and it getting wrapped around his mic stand. A guy had to run in from the side and remove it, mid-song! I saw that. I thought it was hilarious. Ged was PISSED. You could see it on his face.
  11. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Jul 23 2010, 08:36 PM) OK so up close I was to see this show. I very much enjoyed it. But sitting up close, or even watching on monitors, what continues to impress me is how these guys *care* about what theyre playing and how theyre playing. And what impressed me the most about the evening was.. Caravan. These guys, seasoned aging pros of hard rock from the 70s, went and out and played this hard edged, kick-ass song like no ones business. Young bucks, take note of how the old farts can take their chops and put them to work. F-ing wow. If this is the future of this band in the next few years, they are far, far from done. WOW. The look on their faces during this song said it all. Amen to that. The other night in Camden you could just SEE it on their faces. Caravan as well as BU2B. The excitement was very visible during those two new songs and it showed. I was in amazement.

  13. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jul 17 2010, 03:13 PM) I'm glad they're playing it. "Faithless" is one of my favorites from Snakes and I was bummed that they didn't play it on the last two tours so I'm glad they're bringing it out. I do wish that "Armor and Sword" was in the set, though. My thoughts exactly.
  14. Thats what it's all about right there, man. Good for you
  15. I just received the merch email that's been mentioned. Weird thing is, it had ALLENTOWN in the subject. I'm not attending that show. I'm going to Camden. Meaningless mistake or tragic f**k up?
  16. ...Jacobs Ladder. I was thinking....maybe they're going to play it on the Clockwork Angels tour. Think about it. TCE and JL being the two most requested songs, why would they play them in the same year? This way, it makes next year's tour just as special. Just a thought (and a wishful one at that) EDIT: This is in regards to Alex's statement about them playing it this year~
  17. I am not at all happy with the way this has been handled. I dont feel like a VIP at all. It's such a big hassle. And for that much money, it shouldn't be. But of course, like Mara said, the main factor in me getting the package was the actual seat. So, I'm still playing the waiting game....
  18. Here we can discuss how much we like the setlist and how much we're looking forward to seeing Rush. This is for appreciation only please. If you're dissatisfied with the tour, kindly take your negativity to one of the other thousand threads. kthanxbai Anywhoozle.....when I first saw the setlist, I thought it was pretty odd. But after listening to the songs and seeing some videos from the first show, I'm actually very pleased with what they're playing and am pretty excited to see the show
  19. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 29 2010, 11:23 PM) QUOTE (Zanadoo @ Jun 30 2010, 12:19 AM) QUOTE (losingit2k @ Jun 29 2010, 11:18 PM) You would think we would have seen a pic with lasers by now! Don't you think? "You know, coming into this tour I had one simple request. And that was to have sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads!" lmao, well done.
  20. QUOTE (FootballYouBet @ Jun 29 2010, 09:35 PM) QUOTE (trenken @ Jun 29 2010, 09:27 PM) WTF is Love 4 Sale? Uh oh. Love 4 Sale is a Talking Heads tune...remember how in the Doc they were interviewed and asked (in the 80's) what bands they liked? Talking Heads was one of them. f***ing great. With the catalog Rush has I have to hear this shiite. Why play Xanadu, Cygnus, the Trees, AFTK, or any other of a dozen phenomenal Rush songs when you can here Rush cover the Talking Heads! I lawled
