    Snakes and Arrows Detroit
  1. By bad flow- 1. Dreamline and Red Sector A seemed a bit dull because CA material ran a bit long. 2. End of first set was meh. 3. You could argue that a casual fan went from the opener (subdivisions) until yyz, 23 songs later, before recognizing a song. Way too long IMO. For as surprising and fun the opening set was, the closing set/encore was kind of boring.
  2. Quite bummed that BU2B and 7 cities were not in the setlist. Instead we got Halo Effect, Wish Them Well and The Garden. To make it up the guys sounded great and Headlong Flight was by far my highlite. Concert overall was a 7/10 IMO. Bad flow.
  3. BU2B HF The Anarchist Caravan The Wreckers The Garden 7 Cities Halo Effect Carnies Clockwork Angels Wish Them Well BU2B2
  4. Seems like management could have done a better job predicting when to release the album where it would be a no 1. Last week perhaps? It would have been a cool story.
  5. QUOTE (Kelly D @ Jun 13 2012, 09:57 AM) "Seven Cities of Gold"'s intro is also reminiscent of "Virtuality." Seven Cities of Gold is a hodgepodge of T4E songs throughout...especially from 4:50-5:10. I hear Dog Years and Virtuality especially.
  6. Death Cab- Transatlanticism is a freaking masterpiece of an album.
  7. Great night. They sounded fantastic from sidestage Geddy's side. Anyone see Neil's horrible throw where his drumstick landed 5 feet behind him? I forget what song it was. Was a good laugh.
  8. I actually love the outdoor concerts....but when they are played at real pavillions! DTE outside of Detroit for example has a completely covered stage and 95% of seats are covered. The lawn and last couple rows of seats are not. Charter One otoh is a complete joke besides the pretty views of the Chicago skyline. 9. Well I'm sure glad I picked Monday to make the trek from metro Detroit. And as mentioned above, Charter One is a horrible makeshift facility in an even worse location. It would have been better off being in Grant Park in a field.
  10. I'm driving to Chicago over July 4th weekend. Never need an excuse to visit Chicago in the summer and now I have one. Easy call for me. But considering I live less than 5 minutes from Pine Knob- it would have been cool for them to play in my backyard. Love Pine Knob.
  11. Used the Citi presale for Chicago. Section 203 (center) row D. By my calculations that's about 26th row according to the map. 2 tix ran $306 after all the fees and ticketmaster charges.
