  1. My daughter was sent a recent picture of this from a friend. Your stick is either gone or been moved to the star. There are 3 sticks on the star but none on the wreath.
  2. Yup. But even then I should have thought it was weird that he continued to post for about 8 months after the tour, and then nothing at all for 3+ years. This whole thing is so crazy. Him getting diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer so soon after entering his well earned retirement is a real cruel twist of fate. I share your sediment. He works his butt off for years and builds what was probably a pretty comfortable life then goes through a terrible disease that starts pretty much at the same time he retires. It’s just so sad.
  3. Thanks for posting. Neil was such a classy person. It’s good to know he didn’t suffer to much. I’m sure he passed knowing how many people loved him. I hope I’m as fortunate.
  4. I agree with you Earl. I have a bunch of Rush memorabilia including 4 McNaughton prints and photographs and paintings my Geddy and Alex. There is no way I’d ever get rid of it. When my time comes, I’ve left instructions how to log on to this forum to get some help getting rid of it. One of my biggest fears is it just ending up at Goodwill or something like that. I’m sure my daughter will get some of it though.
  5. Primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Not sure if it makes me mad or sad, but I’ve gone from “normal” to literally helpless in 4 years time. I even need help getting dressed. I’m just tired. Ready to be done.
  6. ^^^ This I’m sure there’s an intended reason it’s not widely available after 35 years.
  7. I’m sure it’s a copyrighted work therefore any kind of distribution needs approval of some kind. Kudos to you for not just putting it up for grabs. People intended to have a copy probably already have it. Like 73, I wonder why Power Windows only posted 7 pages. I personally don’t think any of it should be posted.
  8. I agree. I even saw a new post from Mara today!
  9. I’m still having problems listening to their music. I feel so fortunate having the opportunity to talk to Neil during Sam’s wish. I was surprised by his personality. He treated Sam so nice. I remember watching him walk up to her after the sound check, hugging her, giving her the sticks he used during the sound check, and talking to her about some of her favorite lyrics. Nothing like I imagined him to be. One of the very many Rush memories that include Sam. Combining those with all the others before she was even thought about, makes coping all that much harder.
  10. I've been reminded of that one for some time now. Any time - any moment - anyone - any age. Life changes in an instant. Enjoy what you have while you have it. Take nothing and no one for granted. Life passes quickly Amem to that
  11. So sad RIP Neil. Not sure what to say. I’m sorta stunned.
  12. The first time I saw Rush they played some songs from an album I hadn’t heard yet. That album ended up being “Fly By Night”. My most memorable was Charlotte 2008 watching my daughter’s reaction on stage when Geddy dedicated “Mission” to her.
  13. You and your husband are in my thoughts Lorraine.
  14. Sorry. I just don’t get it. People label some of Rush’s official releases as “money grabs”. It seems to me that a limited edition bootleg LP pressed on grey vinyl is the ultimate “money grab”. Like I said, I just don’t get it. It's called collection... I am a vinyl collector. And I like to collect limited versions of different vinyl records. To each his own. One mans trash is another mans treasure. As with most “collecting”, there’s a fine line between “collector” and “sucker”. Whatever dude... If you don't get it, then you don't get it. No point talking about it with you, because you will never understand anyway. No disrespect intended. Didn’t mean to upset you. If collecting different colors of the same LP makes you happy, you go for it...dude. I’m surprised that you think you can judge what I do and do not understand. That’s kind of pretentious. Anyway, I was just making a point about collecting in general. I collect things to. Like most collectors, I’ve bought things I’ve kind of regretted and felt a little “suckered”. Like I said, there’s a fine line. I’m sure there are many “collectibles” that were created pretty much just for the suckers.
  15. Time Stand Still. Something I wish would happen.
  16. Good! The “Models” thread needs updated badly!

  19. Man...seeing that pic really makes it burn that I passed on attending. Why man why did you pass? 8+ hour drive, and I had seen them twice No excuse! I drove from north Georgia to Toronto, then on to Montreal to see them! Besides, seeing them at every stop still wouldn't have been enough!
  20. Pink Floyd had 4 channel sound on the Division Bell tour. They used it throughout the whole show. It was very cool.
  21. HBD Becky! I hope you enjoyed your day!
  22. HBD Goose! I hope you had a great day buddy!
  23. Very cool Loraine! Rush fans are the best!
