  1. QUOTE (bigalfan @ Sep 7 2012, 08:51 AM) QUOTE (hermy @ Sep 6 2012, 11:49 PM) Having beers with John Arrowsmith but he won't give details. That was good. BTW, is there a guy you're more envious of? On top of following Rush (and other bands) around taking pics, he gets to play with explosives AND he's one of those guys that apparently got a crapload of chick-magnet genes in the looks area as well. Damn you, John Arrowsmith! He was in tough shape by the end of the night!
  2. Neil's trailer is open. Must be off on a morning ride. Beautiful day here in Manchester!
  3. Having beers with John Arrowsmith but he won't give details.
  4. QUOTE (Alchemical @ Sep 6 2012, 11:46 AM) Signals in its entirety? Doubtful. 4-5 songs (Subdivisions, The Analog Kid, New World Man, Losing It, The Weapon) off of Signals? Likely. Agreed.
  5. http://www.rushbackstage.com/rushbackstage...book/index.html The backstage confirmed the Tour Book today. Does the dog and hydrant confirm Signals?????

  8. QUOTE (cygnify @ Sep 5 2012, 02:35 PM) Haven't heard a word about my VIP package for Manchester and that's in two days! I just got an email. We get the Commemorative VIP laminate and the VIP ticket at check in which is between 6 and 7:30. Go to the box office and look for the VIP Nation Sign. I would think you'll get your email any minute here. The rest of the items are being mailed after the show.
  9. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 5 2012, 09:48 AM) QUOTE (Rush-O-Matic @ Sep 5 2012, 07:50 AM) QUOTE (hermy @ Sep 4 2012, 09:00 PM) QUOTE (Rush-O-Matic @ Sep 4 2012, 08:23 AM) Alright, let's quit hating each other for a minute . . . Would you like to review them before hand in the future? Nope. I will retract my call for civility, though. I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. I thought people were unfairly attacking you, and I thought you were failing to see why some folks might have been skeptical. As it turns out, you're just a dick. Hey, there...take a deep breath. For my 1500th post I would like to ask this question: Can't we all just get along?
  10. QUOTE (Rush-O-Matic @ Sep 4 2012, 08:23 AM) Alright, let's quit hating each other for a minute . . . QUOTE (BrightAntennae @ Sep 4 2012, 01:31 AM)QUOTE (dayglow76 @ Sep 3 2012, 09:02 PM) Yeah the guy with PHOTO EVIDENCE always wins. Sorry. Geez why would you even argue? Hermy thank you,I for one very much appreciate your efforts. Because the picture is from the TMT and not CA...that's why. The second picture was TMT, but the first picture, with Gump sticking out his tongue, is CA rehearsal. Hermy issued a correction about that. QUOTE (hermy @ Sep 4 2012, 12:07 AM) Lastly, notice the picture with Gump. If the distance from the barefoot gentleman to the hockey boards is an indication of "Stage Left"...then those Canadians sure play on huge ice rinks. Hermy, just a couple notes for you: - first, I think the position of the music stands and chairs shown behind the violinists is giving the perspective that the photo is taken from front to back. i think it's unfair for you to criticize folks for assuming that, since the photo was not originally posted with any explanation on perspective or anything. - second, lots of people post here with crap, acting like they are "in the know" when they are actually full of it, so people react with a bit of skepticism - you know that what you're posting is legit, but we don't. You didn't start out by saying, "Hey guys, I know someone (or am someone) who has access to rehearsals. Here's a sneak peek picture." Given the fact that none of the rest of us knew what else is set up outside the limits of the photo, and that many of us have skepticism because of past "insider" posts, you may have been a little harsh to give everybody the "short bus" treatment right out of the gate. Thank you for your self-appointed critique of my posts. Would you like to review them before hand in the future?

  12. If we are talking about the same synth pattern in Red Sector A.....thats a 16th note pattern whereas the teaser photo is 8th notes.
  13. Looks awfully similar to this: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d153/avplanners/ScreenShot2012-09-04at102239AM.png That bottom A just banging along on say maybe a Cello
  14. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Sep 4 2012, 10:03 AM) Well if you notice the other strings have full measures of rest. String are usually written on the same staff. BU2B2 are complete chords to that same rhythm this is definately a bass line. Additionally these are all A notes if on a treble clef. I'm leaning more to Red Sector A now for that matter alone. Find a keyboard and play that low "A" note in the pattern shown and let me know if you still think it's Red Sector A
  15. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 4 2012, 09:55 AM) QUOTE (hermy @ Sep 4 2012, 09:54 AM) The sheet music looks like BU2B2. Pretty good Herm...though Losingit2K had a good stab as any. The staccato pulse gives it away for me. BU2B2 hangs on the same note for so long which appears to be the case on the teaser pic.
  16. The sheet music looks like BU2B2.
  17. QUOTE (Thunder Bay Rush @ Sep 4 2012, 08:02 AM) I'm wondering if Neil will go back to the sampled big band section in the end part of his solo this time around. I think it's a great solo, easily one of the best, but he has been doing that big band piece (although a little differently each tour) for quite a while now. I'm sure most people on this forum are aware that Neil triggers everything himself... he's not playing along to recorded music, in other words. Nor, does Gump, his drum tech have anything to do with the live performance. That just shows us how much skill he really has, as anyone could play along to something... my gawd, even me. You'd think the man has an extra pair of feet for Chist sake! But, I wonder if he'll have any new tricks up sleeve for the CA tour? I think it would be a nice change if he did something altogether different, even if it meant doing away with the big band section. Yes? No? The big band music IS prerecorded and Neil plays along on the drum to it. Gump also plays a significant role in the solo. He changes the electric kit during the solo for different effects and pulls the lever to spin the riser twice.
  18. QUOTE (dayglow76 @ Sep 4 2012, 12:02 AM) Yeah the guy with PHOTO EVIDENCE always wins. Sorry. Geez why would you even argue? Hermy thank you,I for one very much appreciate your efforts. Please note the second pic I referenced is still the Time Machine tour. It just served as a good reference for my point.
  19. I'll bite one more time....... First and foremost there ARE individuals in the know. I'm not saying I'm one of them but there are extremely reliable sources out there. Secondly, the riser is slightly higher then Neils drum riser. This puts the players heads above the cymbals from a floor seat and plenty viable from the uppers. It is not overly important that they are seen. Isn't that what everyone wanted anyway? Thirdly, the screen drops down far below Alex's amps and Geddy's items as well. Having a few heads in there for a few songs will be no challenge for this veteran crew. Lastly, notice the picture with Gump. If the distance from the barefoot gentleman to the hockey boards is an indication of "Stage Left"...then those Canadians sure play on huge ice rinks. It's all good though. When I post pics from opening night I'll be sure to leave out any "told ya so" captions.
  20. We'll break this down one more time for the short bus students. Alex has amps. Geddy has Gump. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d153/avplanners/ScreenShot2012-09-03at111047PM.png The riser will be where the snares and cases are in this pic. It will elevate them just enough to be seen over Neil. They will come and go quietly behind the other items like Neil does when he comes on stage. Howards keen abilities will allow for darkened transitions....except sunlit outdoor arenas.
  21. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Sep 3 2012, 10:48 PM) That riser seem to be on stage left. I 'm guessing right behind Geddy's rig and there might be a counterpart on the other side behind Alex to even out the look. C E N T E R S T A G E behind Neil...... Gump is behind Ged along with Neils rest area. Alex has his amps. Neil will actually appreciate it because the riser is where he normally has a large gas flame practically turning him to toast each night.
  22. QUOTE (fansince1979 @ Sep 3 2012, 09:00 PM) QUOTE (briremo @ Sep 1 2012, 10:05 PM) i thought it came out the day before the show... btw, following! Right, it was posted the day before, so if that happens again, we'll know the setlist on Thursday the 6th. All you have to do is search "setlist" on RIAB and it pulls it up. It was hard to keep a full production rehearsal under wraps in an outdoor arena.......people there the day before heard the whole show just by being close to the building. I wonder whats going to leak out of the Verizon Center in the coming days.
  23. QUOTE (GuitarPlyr01 @ Sep 3 2012, 09:01 PM) QUOTE (hermy @ Aug 31 2012, 01:18 PM) It is indeed Gump! The riser is going to be behind Neils kit to allow for access on and off the stage. Do you not see that the riser is clearly on the side of the stage? And its interesting to see floor lights that far off the side of the stage. Haven't seen that from Rush. Usually its just all on the stage itself And do my eyes deceive me...or do I see lighting truss right behind Gumps head? Look closely. I can clearly see some silver colored truss, and possibly a Par head light. You are looking at the picture wrong.....that riser is dead nuts behind the kit. Notice the distance from the riser to the hockey boards. Gump is standing about where the entrance into Neils kit is. The musicians can follow the same path as Neil does to get on and off discreetly as they will only be around for six songs. This picture shows everything set up on the floor...the concrete is visible under the riser.
  24. QUOTE (HalfwayToGone @ Sep 1 2012, 06:29 PM) Didn't they post the entire time machine tour setlist on rush.com before the start of the tour? At intermission of opening night.
