  1. I will go shopping this afternoon, when the crazes masses are at home and back in bed. I will not EVER shop on Thanksgiving, but today is o.k.
  2. The bald spot in back has been covered by either real hair(more plugs) or a piece...either way, it looks good. No more shiny spots in close ups.
  3. QUOTE (Pound of Obscure @ Oct 11 2012, 06:13 PM) I made out with my soon to be wife on that bridge in WV. If Neil thinks Pickens is the end of the road, he has never been to Mingo County. I soon fell asleep while reading the rest. Didn't get very far. Did he mention the band at all? Why yes, yes he does mention the band, as well as the guest musicians and several spoilers that you might want to check out. so there
  4. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Oct 4 2012, 02:39 AM) Hi VS!! A friend of mine took these in Saskatoon. Please don't share them - keep them here for us to enjoy. I'm on Alex's side at the YYZ show on the 14th (squeee!). I should be able to get some good ones yes, our dear friend did a wonderful job taking these. sigh.
  5. QUOTE (Mrs. Huck Rogers @ Oct 1 2012, 02:12 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Oct 1 2012, 05:39 PM) Nothing makes my day and nothing ruins my day. I'm always the same. How boring. Mrs. Huck made my day by posting! Hi there! Long time no see!!
  6. Wow that's just awful! My prayers are with Clint.
  7. One of my neighbors was playing Rush when I went out to work in my garden. I will have to return the favor .
  8. A so called friend of my recently deceased mother who is harassing my family to no end and spreading nasty rumors about us because we didn't fall all over her at the funeral. Well she made enough of a spectacle of herself there that should have gotten more than enough attention. I'm so tired of people who think the world revolves around them.
  9. I went to Irish fest yesterday and had a blast listening to all of the different bands. This might not be a big deal to some people, but I usually hit 3 or 4 of these ethnic festivals, 3 or 4 parish festivals, multiple county fairs, and baseball games each summer. I haven't had time to go to anything this summer, until now.
  10. QUOTE (CygnusGal @ Aug 12 2012, 06:59 AM) cancer. FU!!!!! YOU TOTALLY SUCK!!! cancer +100
  11. QUOTE (ShlappinDahBass @ Aug 11 2012, 09:37 AM) QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Aug 10 2012, 08:16 PM) QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Aug 10 2012, 03:01 AM) I understand what you're saying, but it's TOTALLY different when someone is high-functioning, as you clearly are. Hardly should share the definition of autism, really. This is partially why the DSMV is tweaking around with it. I wasn't very high-functioning at first, basically at all, though. I don't want to make it sound like I'm a dog or anything but I was basically "trained" to be..normal, if you will? However, you need to realize that some people who are autistic are not going to get much better, which is true for those people on the low end of the spectrum .They are going to be pretty much the way they are forever...not a gift, especially to aging parents who are worried about what will become of the child when they can no longer care for them. I have friends whose child is not only not making any progress, he is regressing. They are worried sick about him.
  12. Missionman in What pissed you off? Thanks buddy! and the sun is out. and mom is in heaven and not suffering any more! (as of Thursday).

Give us rain!!!! The ground is TOOO hard to dig! (to build a fence) Anyway...... Nice that you added that 'fence' qualifier to your sentence, lest anyone have ideas of other things you might be digging (like, for example, holes for dead bodies stashed away in your trunk!) Anyway, I actually have something reasonably helpful to say: a lot of my yard ground is very hard, so much that I can't even get a shovel into it, so I've discovered that using a pick-axe is excellent. It has a pointy side and a blunt side, and the pointy side, when thrust into the ground repeatedly, loosens up the dirt right quick. It's saved me a lot of digging time, with all the new flower beds I've been creating this year! Upon proofreading this before posting, it seems like this is full of innuendos, but it's not! um Missionman does this for a living. Um that's good to know. Does this render my advice as not useful? No, but chances are, he would have tried that, after putting in thousands of fences over the years. Well, I thought it would be nice to try to be helpful on behalf of someone else's venting (I'm learning that complaining without taking action to make things better can be quite detrimental to oneself), and if my advice isn't useful to him, then no harm, no foul. Someone else could be reading this and take something useful out of it; I know that if I'd come across the idea of using a darn icepick instead of struggling in vain with a shovel last year, it would have saved me literally hours of labour, the icepick is that good! My point is I've tried to be helpful, and your first comment was a bit of a slap. Maybe in light of MissionMan doing this for a living, my advice would thus be redundant (but then, maybe not), but how was I to know that? Anyway, MissionMan, hope you're getting the rain you wanted, and that your fence-building is working out OK! Talk about a slap. yikes. There is a DIY thread. Maybe you could post this helpful information in that thread. Have a nice day!
  14. QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Aug 1 2012, 07:21 PM) thanks for the heads up. it says Brutus is touring. Is he now allowed in the US? No, he isn't allowed here, he's traveling on the European leg next year.
  15. Where did you hear that? !!! I know they'll probably play here next year, but I think they will be in Europe too long to come back and do a date here during Summerfest. I could see a them playing here in late summer though.

Or go inside? Or were you tied up and tossed in the trunk or something? 5 cents says he was invited to go in with mom and sat in the car sulking instead.
