I spent $32. Oasis!
  4. QUOTE (Moonraker @ Oct 8 2006, 04:34 AM) Wow, they are actually getting the right idea to fight piracy. Unlike the RIAA who sues thier customer base, most of which are people that dont have a hope to pay for what they are being sued for, these guys are actually conceeding that they are way overcharging for thier product. I wonder how well cds would sell if they dropped the price from 18.99 for a new release back down to 10. I concur.

Here is my trip! It was f***ing awesome! Nancy saw me!!!!!!! Crazy Is what all I could say about 5 hours after the concert. I'll start from the beginning though! So it was sketchy going to and being in Seattle. Some guy with handcuffs was on the plane...and then they took the handcuffs off and the immigrant guys left...I was like 2 meters away from the guy so I was like... ....WTF. Anyways got off the plane (no ramp...we had to get off the plane and walk outside...geez just cue Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child in and you pretty much get "Almost Famous!"). Seattle is a rad place. Would be radder if the people weren't so crazy...but then again it's America ( no offense...but I find it different...tis all). It's very much like a Vancouver. Thursday was the concert so we headed over to the Paramount...which was a 1 min walk from my hotel (The Paramount...go figure). The Theatre is AWESOME! Everything about it is rad...so old...so cool looking. Anyways I did meet one heartmonger there, Darrell. Pretty cool talking to another Heartmonger! lol. Heart was late on stage but whatever! They had good music playing so who cares! YEAH LED ZEPPELIN! Anyways suddenly "Hot Smoke And Sasafrass" came on (their song before they go on stage) and then everyone came on and I saw Nancy and was like....OMG...there she is. OMG! It's Nancy f***ing Wilson!!! LOL. We had pretty good seats too! Such an awesome show. Such an awesome setlist! Magic Man Straight on Love Alive Bebe Le Strange Even it up You Wreck Me- Tom Petty These Dreams Alone Love Reign O'er Me- The Who Barracuda Crazy On You Black Dog- Zep Misty Mountain Hop- Zep Lost Angel - encore Dreamboat Annie - encore Nancy kicked ass on You Wreck Me she kicked ass for every song lol. It was so cool! Fav song from the set...Bebe, probably then Lost Angel... Nancy was crazy on Bebe!!! I love it! She rocks so hard! I was soo bummed out after the concert because it went by so fast! But I kept telling myself that I had another concert in Van! The next day I hopped onto a Greyhound to go to Van. Customs was sketchy as always. and I like how i'm so honest...lol...."Why were you in Seattle...?" "Umm Heart Concert!"..."A what?"...."A Heart concert!!!" LOL Seattle to Van took about 4 hours...went to Van. Got off at the depot. 5 mins later I get on the Whistler bus...that took another 2.5 hours. Finally met up my friend in Whis. Whistler is crazy weird. It's weird to think your like RIGHT there. Winter would be rad though...lol So the night of the concert...we started off alright...on the road and then when we got in Van...bam...TRAFFIC! lol...we were going to be late! We were on Granville St. and my friend accidently stalls the car...AND the car...is so f*cked up that everytime you want to turn it on...you have to boost it. So here we are, on a Saturday night on Granville boosting this car LMAO. After that we were just in the middle of traffic. and more traffic and more traffic. Finally we get to the Casino and parking is full so we have to go to the top of the parkade...people are extremely slow and stupid in Van. That took awhile...literally ran to the door...couldn't get in...ran around the building to the other door. Got in. Ran upstairs... *hearing muffled heart* ...opens the door and it was like *WHACK, welcome to Heart!!!! * lol...went to our seats (it was the end of Magic Man...the first song so we were happy that it wasn't any later!) Everyone was sitting except for like 30 poeple that were by the stage so we said f**k the seats and we booked it down to the stage. I still can't believe it still to this day but...I was standing 3 feet from Nancy Wilson the entire time. IT was SOOOOO COOL. This is my friggin idol and she's RIGHT THERE! It was a really amazing feeling. About a min into the time we were there and "yell yeah! heart!" and Nancy looked right at me and went all :0 !!!! and gave me a huge smile *maybe she remembered me from the Seattle show 2 days back (she looked at me when I made a heart with my hands and she grinned)...but who knows!!* THAT WAS COOL. I was like..omg...she looked at me! LMAO. The show was friggin AWESOME. Nancy was totally rocking out...way more than the Seattle show I thought. It was just so cool to be sooo damn close! Anyways the showed ended and my friend who is a Breakbeat DJ totally was loving Heart. haha and I thought she would of Heart being lame...just because it's rock music and her loving breakbeats would be hard to listen to. But she loved it! We stayed after the show to watch them tear it all down. I didn't want to leave. It was sad. But then Craig (lead guitarist) and Ric (Bassist) came out and was signing stuff. The roadie started to throw the guitar picks so this jackass beside me got like 3 and my friend was like...WTF...give it! And of course he did. lmao. So I have a Nancy Wilson guitar pick. and then we were kinda standing around and suddenly this dog comes out on stage right for me...and I knew EXACTLY who's dog that was...Nancy Wilson's!!!!!! So I yell "Charlie!"....Nancy in the background walking, called Charlie back and walked away smiling lol. CRAZY! NANCY WILSON! So finally we left and I was left shellshocked that I just watched my fav band. and not only watched...got acknowledged by my friggin guitar idol. It's still very surreal. LOL all I said after the show was ..."crazy.... .... ....crazy..." Heart f***ing rocks. I hope I get to go to another show simply because I have won a meet and greet with them. There was a mix up with Heart Camp so the next time I go to a show with them having a meet and greet i'm automatically in. So i'm sooo STOKED for that. I still am in disbelief that I went to a heart concert and saw my fav guitarist on stage....and just....wow. Crazy LOL NANCY WILSON ROCKS!

  11. QUOTE (Inkanta @ Sep 21 2006, 07:46 PM) QUOTE (deadwing2112 @ Sep 21 2006, 07:18 PM)2112 is not satanic. Its not a pentagram. They would have to turn the star completly up side down for it to be a pentagram. Actually, as a Wiccan person, it is my understanding that pointing down would represent a Satanist belief system. A Wiccan/earth-based related pentagram or pentacle points up. The five points represent earth, air, fire, and water with the upward point representing spirit. The Wiccan traditions with which I am familiar do not acknowledge a devil or Satan. Satan is a Christian construct.
  12. OMG the heart concerts were f***ing amazing. I went to the Seattle show and the Vancouver show. Vancouver was rad because the whole time I was 3 feet from Nancy!!!! f***ing rad! The Wilson sisters still can ROCK! All I can say is wow. wow wow wow!

  19. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Aug 30 2006, 02:51 PM) QUOTE (fledgehog @ Aug 29 2006, 07:15 PM) QUOTE (D-13 @ Aug 29 2006, 10:29 PM) er....it seems like Kasabian is not even out yet.... On their site it says the 28th.... just for the UK maybe? Anyways I bought... Bob Dylan- Modern Times Sam Roberts- Chemical City Thom York- The Eraser Hows the dylan album? It's excellent. Very much in the vein of his last two releases, Time Out of Mind and Love and Theft, but I think that in its own way it's better than those two...but as a trilogy, these three make up his best body of work since his 60s/70s heyday. If you're a Dylan fan I would highly recommend it. agreed
