  1. The original Terminator, the original Halloween, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and... a League of their Own. Hahaha, it's true.
  2. Ah, Lost.... The show of the perpetual WTF.. Every time something crazy happens, me and my wife just laugh. Great show
  3. I bought the special edition of it on VHS back in 1996 or so, when they were going around and making special editions of the 1st three movies. My favorite line still: "NO! NOT PLANET BASKETBALL!"
  4. QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Jan 25 2008, 01:43 PM) I miss the sarcastic humor that Sean Connery and Roger Moore had along with the goofy bad guys and crazy plots. Like "attempting re-entry" at the end of Moonraker?
  5. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jan 25 2008, 11:19 AM) Worst title since 'A View To A Kill'. Title Shmitle, if it's half as good as Casino Royale I'll be happy.
  6. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Jan 18 2008, 10:25 PM) It sucks that there will ony be 8 episodes due to the writers' strike. Especially since they promised, what, 16 in a row? I think it'd be kind of funny if this strike lasted a long time and all 200 of Lost's crazy threads never got solved. No, not really, that would blow!
  7. QUOTE (workingcinderellaman @ Jan 23 2008, 03:59 PM) If you're a parent and you have to watch children's programs, then its good to have a little adult humor mixed in. I like spongebob but I never would have seen it if I didn't have kids. Same here. I'm just glad there are cartoons I can stand watching nowadays. Some of these... things.. they put out are just awful. Don't people hire decent writers anymore? Don't people animate beyond 5 FPS anymore? Go compare any old Bugs Bunny cartoon with something like Ed, Ed, and Eddie and you'll see what I mean. And back in those days they only had, what, 2 or 3 animators tops?
  8. Well, it's not really a single sound, but I like how there's that backwards guitar playing (I think it's guitar) during the regular guitar solo of Mystic Rhythms. I never noticed the scat at the end of Red Lenses, now I'm going to have to listen to GUP again, so.. thank you lol.
  9. When you want to sell patties, just remember P.O.O.P! People Order Our Patties That training video episode is a killer haha.
  10. QUOTE (Turn Me On Dead Man @ Jan 18 2008, 02:15 PM) The early episodes of Spongebob have surprisingly good humor. The new episodes are crap. The ones where SB's voice is high and very different I don't like. There was also at least one episode where SB called Patrick "Pat" and it was just awful. Say what you will, this show is awesome I don't care if it's for kids or whatever, this is funny stuff. I can sing the theme song on command, can YOU?
  11. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jan 22 2008, 11:23 AM) What does everyone think of their casting job? http://movies.yahoo.com/slideshows/generic...reknewcrew.html Man... I thought the original Uhura was hot! They all look the parts, except why did they get Screech to play Checkov?? The new Uhuru is FINE, holy crap nice.
  12. Insurrection was a good movie, but most people seem to think everything after First Contact is crap. It's just a shame that most likely the last ST movie that features the entire cast of TNG was Nemesis. At least the original cast got to mostly go out in a blaze of glory in The Undiscovered Country (which is my 2nd favorite ST move, after Khan of course).
  13. The synth drum Neil plays on an offbeat during the beginning of Emotion Detector. I wish they'd do some new songs with a bit more synth drums to them (like for a lot of PoW and GUP) but I know it won't happen.
  14. OMFG!!!! I can't wait! I'm a huge Trek fan from way back, and although TNG and DS9 are my favorites, the original trio kick so much ass! This is going to be so good, and hopefully will wash the taste of Nemesis out of my mouth forever!
  15. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Jan 20 2008, 06:50 PM) Signals. Every album since then has had at least one duffer.. For an album to have only 1 iffy song on it is a great thing. I'd be happy with a 7/8 good to bad song ratio myself.
  16. The best since Counterparts, since I haven't heard all of Vapor Trails and HAVE heard all of Test for Echo. CP is much better though, IMO. And older 80's stuff like Signals, GUP, Power Windows and HYF eat it alive. ..But it's better than T4E, and that's pretty cool.
  17. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jan 13 2008, 09:45 PM) I missed it. By the way, I was wondering, does this show ignore the events established in Terminator 3? I think it's supposed to take place between T2 and T3, so it wouldn't have any bearing on T3 yet.
  18. QUOTE (Mandalorian Hunter @ Jan 12 2008, 10:32 AM) I think another thing that turned me off them was the 'Grunge' genre. That really didn't sound appealing to me. And now i'm glad I was told it wasn't really a style of music, otherwise I would have missed out on Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. I used to loathe Alice n' Chains back then, but now, when I hear all these new Blink-182 and Nickelback and Effervescence bands, man Alice n' Chains was so friggin' good weren't they?
  19. Another one I thought of is the lead singer for Rancid. I guess if it's punk it doesn't really matter though.
  20. QUOTE (rickyrob @ Jan 2 2008, 08:39 AM) F***ing hilarious. Every time I see it. Yes, it's his best. My favorite line from it.. "THE COLOR OF THE PEN, THAT I HOLD IN MY HAND, IS... IS.. WEHWJEHAJBNBSENBASBDASDLL!!"
  21. Dick York, no question. I'm glad 19 other people feel the same way. WTF that other Darren SUCKED!
  22. This movie was OKAY, but not the best movie ever like everyone said. I think all the girls got a kick out of Heigl using the F word every sentence, which gave them a thrill or something. Or maybe empowerment, who knows? Anyhow, that's why everyone loves it.. I guess. Personally, if you have to rely on crudeness or swears, more often than not your movie stinks.
  23. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jan 13 2008, 09:05 PM) Just watched part one of the two night premiere of the latest chapter in the Terminator saga. I thought it was very good. I've always thought Terminator was one of the most creative and original sci-fi stories ever. The fact that Arnold was originally attached to it, only made it that much better. Now, with a new Sarah and John, the story grows beyond the Arnold mold and takes on new life. I really enjoyed it. Hope others here watched it and want to discuss it week to week. I wanted to watch it but have to work 12 hours into the wee early morning. The movies are great though, as the storytelling is really top-notch (which saves the 1st movies special effects, which don't hold up well after 20+ years).
  24. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jan 12 2008, 04:51 PM) Jane Eyre. The Camera Eyre? Hi, I'm Del Duio and I make jokes to ease the tension!
  25. Yeah, I read a bit of your blog before Ghostgirl as I too have a 6 year old daughter with PDD. Very high functioning, thankfully, but yeah unless you have a child with it yourself nobody knows how tough it can really be. My favorite line from her old Principal was something like "Well if someone was to just walk by the classroom and look in nobody would think anything was wrong with her!" Wow, how uplifting, you @#!* You're in a boat with more holes than mine though, and I wish your family the best.
