  1. Hi guys, like many of you I haven't been on here in a long time but of course felt the need to return after hearing this terrible news. I had 3 people text / call me and that's actually how I found out- Somehow I completely missed how it was spread all over the news. I mostly feel bad for Carrie and especially Olivia, who now won't have her dad just as he left the limelight so he could spend more time with her. I said this before on some youtube comment but it's true: Neil and RUSH are truly immortal through their timeless music, and rest assured that New Years Eve 2111 somebody's going to be blasting 2112 from a rooftop somewhere long after we're all gone. Try to take that into consideration and it may make you feel better (it does for me).

  2. I'm both excited and terrified about this announcement. On one hand, Picard is just about my favorite fictional character ever, and I'd love to see him again. On the other, I worry about the damage they could do to his legacy if they fail to execute.

Please, please, please get him right.

I'm with you, but I think Stewart would ditch the project rather than tarnish the legacy of The Picard.

  3. If Yoda can control the weather and bonk Luke on the head with his cane, and if Luke can project himself in a physical sense (he did smooch Leia on the forehead), then it's theoretically possible for Spirit-Luke to come back and get physical and beat the snot out of some bad guys.

And how bad would Hamil want to redeem Luke at this point? Hell, he'd probably do the movie for free!

  4. My favorite is probably SFAM, but I think their 2 best songs are Metropolis Pt. 1 and Octavarium. DT is weird like that, where they can have some of their best stuff on an album that's not necessarily their greatest work- In the Presence of Enemies 1 & 2 are outstanding but happen to be on Systematic Chaos. Lines in the Sand and Peruvian Skies are on Falling into Infinity, Endless Sacrifice is on Train of Thought, etc etc.
  5. Damn, way too hard. I'd like to pick B sides almost nobody's ever heard of that I enjoy like Computer Blue or Tambourine but honestly some of his hits were his best I think for a reason: I Would Die 4 U, Raspberry Beret, Controversy, and 1999 god dammit!
  6. Only song I actually heard of is "I Just Can't Get Enough". Nice song.

Wait, you've never heard People Are People, Enjoy The Silence, Personal Jesus or Policy Of Truth? I don't buy that for a second.

The last two, yes. Enjoy the Silence? People are People, is that about some dude punching another dude in the face?

It just takes a while to travel from your head to ya' fist!

DM is an awesome band. I'd probably consider them Techno-Rock I guess. Like Ministry maybe but only good.

They have like 40+ classic songs and not many bands can say that.

    Condemnationnnnnnnn... DriiiiiIIIIIIiiive!

    EDIT:

Oh an Smashing Pumpkins totally ripped off "Barrel of a Gun" with that "Mi Amour" song. Virtually identical verses.

  7. I still havent gotten past the Hits album but its really strong.

    Dead Heart

    Blue Sky Mine

    Best of Both Worlds

    Truganini

    Damn

Is that 10,000 RSL or Flat Chat? Flat Chat goes throughout their career (for the most part) and is a better representation of the band. One of their best concerts (Goat Island) was also filmed in 1984 or 5 and you can easily find it on Youtube.

  8. Party on dudes!!!!

Looking forward to another guilty pleasure movie. Huge fan of the original and the sequel had some hilarious moments.

    Yew haf sunk my bettlesheeep.

    Lol

    Still gets me

Two out of three? DAMN RIGHT!!

  9. The potential is certainly there for a good movie. Will they be able to pull it off? Who knows? My best guess is that it will suck.

Bill and Ted 2 is still on the top of my list of worst films of all time that I've seen in a theater.

Any movie with Primus in it was.. bound to suck!

  10. Really? I thought the guy who played Bill was dead. I did enjoy the other two films back then but haven't seen them in years. Not sure if they have aged well or not.

I watched the first one pretty recently with my daughter and it's still pretty funny.
