  1. I caught four Time Machine shows: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin. I had a blast. Hope to do a few on this tour, right now I have tickets for San Antonio and Houston. I would like to travel somewhere I've never been to catch a show on this tour.
  2. I agree this VIP lottery thing is annoying, but before you castigate Rush check out what other bands are selling through VIP Nation: https://v2.iloveallaccess.com/tours/eagles/...f65e412VwD3ZQtv Those prices are truly insane. The current Rush ticket prices by comparison are only kind of insane. I bought a musictoday presale ticket for the San Antonio show, row 16 for $147. That is expensive. The VIP were $325, that is even more expensive, but at least they aren't $500 for first 20 rows like those Eagles tix I linked to above.
  3. Riverwalk Vista is in a nice spot; I'd go with that or the Hilton Palacio del Rio. San Antonio is a nice place but it will probably be warm. Is it September 23 yet?
  4. My wife and I will be attending three shows: San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. Our first Rush concert was at the Woodlands (Houston) in 1997 just a few days after we graduated high school. We've never seen Rush in Dallas before, I hope it's a nice venue.
  5. The public sale had nothing spectacular. As of noon it's down to the $60 seats. I noticed the VIP packages sold out the first day. The auction is going nuts as well!
  6. I saw Nightwish here in Corpus Christi, TX on May 11. My wife turned me on to this band, returning the favor for getting her into Rush I guess. The show was great; but the poor Finnish band was dying in the south Texas heat. These guys put on a great show; especially their new vocalist Annete Olzon. My wife and I were front row in front of guitarist Emppu Vuorinen. We also saw Nightwish in Austin, TX last September directly in front of keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen. Both were cool vantage points. I've seen Nightwish twice in the last year and they put on a great show both times. I highly recommend checking them out if you get the chance.
