  1. Won a game worn jersey at the hockey game tonight :D
  2. Wow no Ontario shows, thats a bit of a bummer, when was the last time they had a NA tour without some home town shows? Looks like the closest is Grand Rapids
  3. Glad most of you had a better time than me. I got mine taken out a year ago, all 4 at once. They told me they weren't impacted and that it would be a simple tooth pull. I also had 1 cavity so they decided to fill that during the same appointment. They first froze me up and gave me the laughing gas and did the cavity first. I have had cavities filled before and all those times it sucked, but with the laughing gas it was awesome, I was joking with them during the whole filling and didn't feel a thing, I could only smell burning teeth as they drilled but that was it. I remember saying to them "Can I take this stuff home?" Then they got to my wisdom teeth.... Even though they kept the gas on it was doing nothing for me. They first took out both of my left side wisdom's and it hurt like hell. But the worst was number 3 my bottom right, it took about 20-30 minutes on that tooth alone, he broke it in half and i was shoved very far down into the chair as he pushed and pushed to get the bugger out as I was kicking my legs in the air, I got very close to kicking his assistant in the back of the head. My middle finger had found a very small hole in the armchair padding and by the end of it all there was no padding left. Eventually when it was all over I felt like I had the crap beaten out of me. To make matters worse my meds sucked, he gave my Tylenol 3's which did nothing for me. I had them taken out in the morning and for the rest of the day i could barely drink water and got zero sleep that night. The next day I was able to eat scrambled eggs but only if i put small pieces in my mouth and didn't chew what so ever. It took me about 4 days before I could chew anything. Probably the worst pain in my life............ SOOOOOO happy I never have to do it again.

  5. I LOVE ROLL THE BONES. Is the rap part silly? kinda but I dont care. I love the melodic sounding corus, it also sounds great live. I like most sounds with a meloding sounding corus, Nobodys Hero, Animate, The Pass, and especially Show Dont Tell. I really liked S&A during the first year or so I could listen to the whole album without skipping, as time has gone on there are some songs I like less but as a whole I like the album. I LOVE Good News First, "Some would say they never fear a thing well I do" is one of my favourite moments of any Rush song ever, I just wished they played it more than once during the song. I didnt like Vapor Trails, a few good songs but for the most part I skip it. I love the keyboard era, not all songs but I like alot of them. I am in my early 20s and I am good friends with a couple guys in their early 40s through the hockey team we watch and both are huge Rush fans as well, but our opinions on Rush differ greatly. They are pretty much of the opinion of screw all Rush albums past the early 80s (with a couple exceptions) where as I love the 80s and 90s, the 70s dont do it as much for me. There are a few songs from MOST albums that I always skip. Armor & Sword is epic to me, not AN epic, just epic sounding. I DONT CARE ABOUT LYRICS. A lot of people seem to get hung up about what Neil was writing about and trying to get in his head "the lyrics are sub par and I cant get into em" Somebody nailed it earlier in the thread when they said I dont even know what half the songs are about, I just listen because the music rocks. I like the flow of it, they could be singing we kill babies and hail hitler but if it flowed the exact same way with the same music i probably wouldnt even notice. I dont get hung up about Geddys live voice, when I am rocking out at the concert I really dont care what so ever. People who go "the production value sucks" somebody else nailed it earlier when they mention how some people go "I cant believe you cant hear that terrible sound" guess what I dont. /end rant
  6. The best has to be Spinal Tap in the Simpsons.... "you know the other day we were going down route...... FOUR OH ONE!" "and we thought they knew how to rock in Shelbyville." BOOOOOOOOOOOOO "But we know nobody rocks like" *looks at the name of the city on the back of his guitar* "SPRINGFIELD!" "Goodnight Springdun, there will be no encores"
  7. WKRP In Cincinnati Dispite the fact that the show ended LONG before I was born. Some from my younger days. The PJ's Are you afraid of the Dark Grounded For Life Titus Still Standing

  9. Working at the Airport Air Canada provides us with all of our work clothes, pretty much dickies style work pants, solid blue t-shirts, golf shits button up shirts or sweatshits all with the AC logo. You can wear whatever depending on the weather. I've shown up in non Air Canada sweatshirts and management hasnt at all batted an eye. One time our boss saw me with a hockey hat on and asked why I didnt have an AC hat, I said the company didnt give me one and I havent heard about it since lol
  10. The show in Hamilton was the first time I've ever sat during a show, other than parts of my 1st RUSH show at the ACC in 2007. But thats because I was in the upper deck in Hamilton and when the lights went down nobody stood up anyway. I usually like to stand during a show but if nobody around me is going to stand then I dont wanna be that one guy standing and ruining it for the people behind me. If the people in front of me are standing then tough luck for the peeps behind me im standing. I was side stage (Alex) lower bowl at the ACC in 2007 and I stood for most of the show, a few times people behind us started complaining (first time i had ever seen people sitting during a rock concert, I was amazed) however whenever I would sit down I couldnt see, so I stood. Only other time I've sat at a concert was at AC/DC at the Skydome in 2008, but that night I was row 1 of the 200 club level so I just sat back and put my feet up on the concrete barrier with my feet hanging over the some 20 foot drop to the 100 seats, aweomse
  11. So what was it that got crushed that won somebody front row?
  12. Great show as usual. Neil seemed to have a bit of a tough night, by my count he went 3 for 8 on the drum stick toss lol Seemed to me it looked like he hurt his hand right at the end of Subdivisions. Either way it was fantastic even from where I was sitting. I had an aisle seat in the last section up top before the cut off. Every now and then a couple people would sit down in the empty seats in the section next to us but security would be on them so fast. I remember about 4 or 5 songs in security kicked like 25 people outta there and in the middle of a song made them all go back to their assigned seat pissing off a lot of us who hadnt moved as we now had to stand up to let them back in or get blocked by people standing up. Right near the end of the show at the start of 2112 security came up once again for two guys who refused to move, their reason for not going to their regular seat being that the roof was leaking right onto their seat lol. Anyway great night and the best part about having the show in Hamilton was even though i stayed in my seat right through till the end of the outro video, I was at home about 15-20 minutes after the boys left the stage, awesome.
  13. YES! I just snagged one up in 208 as well! GOING TO SEE Funny thing is i called Copps this morning at 9 asking if they would be releasing any last minute today and she told me not a chance
  14. This is my last ditch forum effort before I try the scalpers at Copps tomorrow night.... anybody out there with a reasonbly priced ticket please PM me
  15. I've pretty much decided I'm going to go down to Copps night of the show with $100 cash and see what I can turn up, hopefully I will somehow get in.
  16. Thanks, yea I figured even if between now and show night I cant get tickets ill still go down and bound to find some scalper or something. I would just rather be safe than sorry and have something ahead of time. Either way I will somehow find my way into Copps on the 19th...... at least I hope I will.
  17. Damn, and I've been meaning to make this post for a few weeks as well but just hadnt gotten around to it. just my luck
  18. Hey there folks. So my birthday was in December and my buddy said he would get me a ticket to Rush for my birthday, then he didnt. He eventually got me Rammstein tickets which rocks but now I dont have a Rush ticket which sucks hard. It appears the Hamilton show is sold out and the only tickets I can find online people are selling for like $500 each. Anyone know where I might be able to find 1 ticket at or near face value? I dont wanna miss this show
  19. Other than all the regulars, I herd Dreamline on 97.7 htz FM the other day. I hear Big Money a lot for some reason. I think one time I herd Show Dont Tell. Between Q107, Y108, 97.7 and Rock 95 we get a lot of Rush in Southern Ontario
  20. Okay I guess I'm an idiot lol I usually dont ask questions with just obvious answers, I just seriously didnt think they were gonna do it again, no complaints from me, ha ha P.S. Am I the only one who likes Stick It Out? lol
  21. So the rock radio station in Hamilton, Ontario (Y108) had a commercial for the Rush show in Hamilton in April and during the commercial they mentioned how they will be playing Moving Pictures. Is this just lazy commercial making (the station just assuming they will play MP again) or is it actually known that MP in full will return this year?
  22. "I'm the cash man, i bring you money for your GOLD, OH YEAHHH" Peeps in Southern Ontario know what i'm talkin about
  23. When this baby hits 88MPH......your gonna see some serious sh*t
