  1. Put it on, but listened to a couple minutes of the original CD first, then switched over. WOW! Have switched back and forth over a few songs and it truly is amazing. My 14 year old daughter just came down from her bedroom and said, "Really Dad, I'm trying to study for my Spanish test, do you have to listen to your music that loud?" Guess Dad has to wait till the family is away to really blast it. What a great purchase today!
  2. QUOTE (RushbyUnleashed @ Apr 4 2011, 10:08 AM) Can anyone suggest how to get this info/video to someone with access to Rush......just saying they might have a minute after soundcheck and have an interest.... Is the tour manager, Liam Birt the right person. My son is the biggest Rush fan around....he's hat a 3 month calendar countdown posted on the refrigerator, marking off the days. http://www.anthementertainmentgroup.com/
  3. Jeepers! They just started the tour! Yes, they toured last year, but that was last year! They are not THAT old.
  4. I just go this email from SRO today; SRO-Anthem to Tim show details 6:06 PM (28 minutes ago) Thank you for your email request regarding RUSH autographs. Due to the high volume of requests received it is impossible for RUSH to respond to all of them. Priority is always given to selected charities and promotional events. Thank you for your understanding and for being a fan of RUSH SRO/Anthem
  5. says minimum 3 per store. I guess I should set up a tent just like Black Friday! Can anyone answer what the Blu Ray is all about? Is this a repeat of the making of Moving Pictures or something else? Kind of nice to see a Rush advertised in a Best Buy ad. It's been awhile!
  6. That Rush jersey on the right side of that last picture is awesome! Sign me up for that!
  7. Used Stubhub for Ray Davies tickets - no issues
  8. Sorry, but I thought that was a terrible review. The writer wasn't reviewing the show he was reviewing his interpretation of the fan's opinion or reaction at the show. How many times did he say, "rush fans" or "they". I expect a review of the show, not of the fans.
  9. QUOTE (vols1118 @ Mar 29 2011, 11:43 AM) My friend who currently works at a restaurant in Orlando was lucky enough to be the hostess that seated the members of Rush at a restaurant last night! I was so jealous when I found out. They have arrived in Florida! I wonder why the detour in Orlando though? No pictures??
  10. QUOTE (Phantom @ Mar 17 2011, 09:12 PM) Thanks Donna ! Thanks Donna...Glad you found your toilet music!
  11. QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ Mar 11 2011, 05:20 PM) I think you should have more than two (if possible) and change it every few songs. That may give you a better chance of getting on film. I also like the idea of an Ayn Rand reference. How about a reference to recent economic events, like "RUSH DIDN'T NEED A BAILOUT!" Only planning on changing at intermission. I wouldn't want to distract anyone trying to watch the show. The banner is 12 feet long so it will take a few minutes to change. I don't even take pictures anymore at shows. For the amount of time it takes away from concentrating on the show and the number of decent pictures I get - it's not worth it.
  12. Watched the movie, It's Complicated. When someone asked Meryl Streep what her room number was she said, "2112". I yelled out 2112 sighting and my wife rolled her eyes.
  13. QUOTE (Alex @ Mar 10 2011, 10:59 PM) To make the video it will have to be something generic but awesome. Something like "RUSH FOREVER" with pictures and other sort of Rush symbols would definitely make it. Is it just text or basically anything that can fit on the banner? My buddy owns a print shop so it will be very graphic and professionally done. In fact we are looking for a high resolution image of from the debut album.
  14. I scored my company's suite for the show so we are going to hang a banner on the outside. The suite is stage left, right next to Geddy. Hoping the banner will make it on the DVD. Looking for some ideas for what to say. We can do a banner 6" inches in height and 12 foot in length. We plan on printing on both sides of the banner and will turn it around at intermission. I'm thinking for the first set, "RUSH, ECHOING CLEVELAND CONCERT HALLS SINCE 1974" and for the second set, "RUSH...FOREVER IN CLEVELAND'S LIMELIGHT" Any other suggestions? I would really like to have another banner maybe on the handrail that we keep throughout the show that says, "RRHOF...PUT ASIDE THE ALIENATION ALREADY!!" or "RRHOF...ARE YOU OBLIVIOUS TO THIS QUALITY, A QUALITY...RUSH!!"
  15. QUOTE (Phantom @ Mar 5 2011, 10:43 AM) I'm looking for tickets to Cleveland show... floor centre, preferably in the first few rows.... Haven't had any luck with my broker..... Anyone know of anyone selling seats in that area, or the best place to go to find someone selling seats in that area? Much appreciated !! There are some tickets on craigslist; http://cleveland.craigslist.org/search/tia...=min&maxAsk=max A couple of the folks are selling at cost. If you're looking for something floor center, there is someone selling 2 tickets for $800 in the second row of section 2; http://cleveland.craigslist.org/tix/2237742734.html Good luck!
  16. I'm not sure about this particular venue and show, but I have seen seats open up for various concerts typically 1-7 days prior to the show. I think it is highly unlikely they would reduce the cost of those VIP seats though. Imagine sitting next to someone who paid hundreds of dollars less than you did just because they bought their tickets sooner. Are those VIP seats even still available? Even at the high cost they seem to sell out at most venues.
  17. QUOTE (Weatherman2112 @ Feb 7 2011, 04:13 PM) This isn't for Literatii. With money no object, you'll be fine. For the rest of you, please consider the Tropicana. I know, they have that bad reputation from the past. But they have remodeled the whole place and it's really great now! I stayed there last year and was very pleased. The rooms were beautifully redone, the casino was nice, the restaurants were great, the pool was hoppin' and the price was very good. Plus it's right on the strip, across the street from the concert and around the corner from the airport. It's a no brainer to me. Monte Carlo is ok but the rooms are not as nice and that new city center cramps it's style. That's my 2 cents. I stayed at the Tropicana last year for the show. It was fine and decent price. Didn't spend much time in the room anyway!
  18. Welcome HolySmoke! With the "Time Machine" tag to the tour I was surprised they did not play some really closet or vault stuff. I was not disappointed though! Loved MP front to back and look forward to hearing it again in Cleveland.
  19. I've exhausted a search on that same thing. Couldn't find anything on current or past sales. Past attendance, yes - no sales though.
  20. QUOTE (jesse2112 @ Jan 28 2011, 03:28 PM) Yes the MSG show is sold out What with your signature video clip?
  21. sorry I didn't analyze this so much...simply get Fly By Night in there some place! I mean get over whatever stupid ban you have playing that song. Just get over it!
  22. QUOTE (hughes&kettner @ Jan 10 2011, 04:06 PM) So this saturday (jan 8 2011) i went with the fam to see toy story3 on ice at the Q arena in cleveland. i've been there probably 100 times for concert and Cavs games... as i sat there for 2 hours, all i could think about was how great my seats are for the april 15th time machine tour (it'll be my 4th time on this tour) and how it's gonna be a long 3 months. i was like a little kid..."wow! rush is gonna be here! this is where they'll enter the stage! here is ged's side! the sound will be awesome from my seats..." clearly, i have rush issues. this will be only the 3rd time rush has played the Q. It will surely be the most monumental. even though 2112 on the test for echo tour was, well beyond amazing... and toy story3 was pretty good... I hear you! My tickets showed up Saturday! Hoping a bunch of us can meet up before the show at Harry Buffalo's.
  23. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Jan 8 2011, 01:18 PM) Is this even a question? If we're sitting here on a saturday in front of computers talking about this at all then I'd bet that about...oh...100% will buy it. As I said, many folks on this board debate about the need for more live DVDs/CDs. Hence the poll. Welcome to forum.
  24. OK, driving to work this AM I thought about this as I listened to some Rush... Given the amount of threads here with people bitching about compilations and live releases I thought I would pose the question. Maybe to instigate some new debate? (Which is always healthy in a forum) I for one, will absolutely buy it. First off, I buy everything they put out to SUPPORT THEM and I am what others have called a completist (or whatever). Secondly, because I will be there with many good ian friends.
