  1. RUDT - Can you clarify what is meant by, "you buy a pass for every show"? I bought two passes Saturday when they want on sale. A friend in Quebec told me that was good for the entire 10 days. I am only planning on going to RUSH, but do I have to get another pass for that particular show?
  2. Debbie... They will be playing and there will be Rush fans coming from all over. Sounds like a meet up is in order. May not be a full concert, but they will be performing on that date.
  3. Bought my cheap seat today and have my room booked. I get in at 10:45 AM so it would be great to meet up with other fans. Can someone add 4/18to the Headlong Flight section? Thanks!
  4. Mine arrived yesterday. I will be waiting until Friday to give it a listen. I am off Friday, the wife works, and the kids have schools. Nobody home to tell me to turn it down! :dweez:
  5. Great story and great seeing you guys in Toronto. Looking forward top the next tour. We will have to hook up again.
  6. Pre-ordered from Amazon. Hoping it arrives tomorrow. I really enjoy the MP 5.1 mix.
  7. I don't recall a drum kit display. Are you maybe thinking of his kit and BMW display in the Motorcycle HOF in Pickerington, Ohio?
  8. and by the way...someone needs to suggest to rushbackstage.com to just start giving away those thongs in every order to clear them off the site! Good grief they have been on closeout WAY TOO long!
  9. You should have bought three sets of bobble heads! :rush:
  10. I will be looking into this in more detail.."Some restrictions apply" has me concerned. When you look at the memberships it only mentions induction ceremony ticket availability at the $5,000 level. I live 20 minutes from the Rock Hall so I could use a membership, but I am not in for $5K! Also, how much are tickets to the ceremony anyway? I have heard stories of up to $1200 each. No thanks if that is the case. I will wait till they replay the ceremony on May 18th!
  11. And then my wife says...why didn't they make the poster a standard size? You know that's a custom frame?? Dooh!
  12. I will echo what everyone is saying about the T Shirts. Very low budget! By comparison, I gave my son my 1982 Signals Tour Jersey just yesterday...it's in better shape than these shirts we just received and my Signals shirt is 30 years old this month! Happy with the tour programs although they were bent up just like the posters, but not as bad. Same story as Cygnify...box was pretty mangled. I planned on framing the poster, but its too mangled for that. It's numbered, but what's the point if its mangled? I will email and complain about that. Now then....but the seats...oh the seats! My son and I were 2nd row right in front of Alex...priceless! Never mind the crap swag, loved the seats, loved the experience with my son and would definitely do it all over again!
  13. I finally got my SWAG for the September 15th Chicago show. Wife just sent me a text. Will see just how crappy this stuff is when I get home tonight! :rush:
  14. Well VIP Nation finally shipped my swag! I just received an email with tracking information. Should have it in a few days now.
  15. Yeah, I didn't think that was Stewie either. I liked the videos. Always do. No sound for the intro in Newark?? Somebody got reamed I am sure for that!
  16. Still waiting here! My VIP show was Chicago 9/15 (my wife's birthday and HELL NO I didn't take her!...carryover joke from a different thread)
  17. I've taken one of my 15 year old boys to 4 shows now. His first was in Pittsburgh two years ago at age 13. I hope to take him to many more!
  18. default/rofl3.gif (Hey forum moderator....why don't the icons work??) LMAO
  19. As Bubbles once said, "You know he is going to do that drum solo!" I don't think they would add two songs if they did away with the solo. That time gives Geddy and Alex a break. In past solos when they return it often starts out slower without drums (such as Resist) which in turn gives Neil a break.
  20. Most miserable person I have ever seen was the gal that the cops were dragging out of the Toronto show on October 14th! She was not a happy camper as she was handcuffed behind her back and drug out on her knees screaming bloody murder!
  21. I don't that anyone, certainly not me is blaming the arenas. I personally am disappointed with the support they are getting from the fans in some cities, for me Cleveland. Regarding the set list (again), it's all about personal preference. I am sorry to hear you didn't get into it. For me, I love the new album and I love hearing the new songs live. I have seen RUSH several times over the past 30 plus years and I like hearing the new stuff because, well it's new! Your story of the show being your least favorite doesn't deserve being blasted. It's your opinion and that's fine. Many things go into making a show to be called your favorite beyond the set list. For me, this tour is probably my second favorite of all tours I have been to. R30 is by far still my favorite. Why? Loved the set list, loved the people I went with, and it was somewhat a return to seeing RUSH live for me after a many year break. A casual fan stopped in my office the day after the Cleveland show and proclaimed it was the best concert he and his wife have ever attended. Not the best RUSH, but the best overall. He has only seen RUSH twice, last year and this year. So you have to agree, it's all about personal preference! Rock on!
  22. Haven't seen this specifically discussed. What are some thoughts on the drum solos for this tour. Specifically, the fact that there are three short solos versus one longer solo? For me personally, I like the idea. Don't get me wrong, I have always enjoyed the solos, but I think keeping them shorter keeps many folk's attention better. In the past i have seen many hit the bathrooms and beer lines during the solos. Thoughts? Like it or not so much?
  23. Show was awesome. I especially enjoyed The Pass as this is one of my favorite songs. Did anyone notice the technical issue Geddy was having at the beginning of the second set? I don't know if it was his ear monitor or his wireless for his bass, but the roadie cam out twice to work on it between songs.
  24. The entire second tier was curtained off. Last year the show was a sellout. This year they close off nearly half the venue. It's no wonder Rush and several other bands avoid Cleveland dates and bypass the city. What a joke. Friends of mine are complaining that the induction is in LA this year and that it should be in Cleveland. Are you kidding me? Would anyone go? It's my home town, but I enjoy seeing them in Chicago, Toronto, and Pittsburgh so much more since the people come out to see them! Anyone else feel this way? BTW...Why the heck do you shut down the forum on a show day? Maybe Cleveland wasn't much of a show day after all.
