I didn't cry. Honestly, I was in shock.
I'm still there.

Watched my bootleg copy/video of Rush at the Hollywood Bowl. Snakes and Arrows tour. At one point, Alex gives the slash across the throat gesture.
Apparently something went wrong.

What a stupid asshole!!
Yeah...for me, this comes across as "look at me!"
Not cool.

My buddy caught a broken stick that Neil threw out to the audience in Oakland, CA during the Roll the Bones tour. He had it ripped out of his hands.

I remember that in the mid to late 80s, the rumor was that Geddy had throat cancer and that is why he wasn't singing so high anymore.

From Rush is a band...late 2018
That picture breaks my heart.

As a kid, I delivered The Seattle Post Intelligecer via bicycle. My handlebars were loaded with newspapers. I remember riding my bicycle in the early morning while listening to Signala on my knock off walkman.
Nice!
I remember my mom drove me to Rainbow Records when "Signals" came out. I ran in and bought the cassette.
When I got home I raced into my bedroom and put it on my little Pioneer stereo.
After the first listening I must confess I was upset. I was like... "Where the hell is the guitar?" "Neil's drumming is more basic!" I was so mad!
But then eventually I fell in love with the record.
The lyrics of Analog Kid hit me hard.
I was at that point in my life where I didn't know what to do with my future.
I figured it out.

Nope. Not yet.
I've been listening to Porcupine Tree instead.

Exactly. Respect the privacy to everyone in the Rush family. I knew about Neil's brain tumor on November 2, 2019. I only told my father because he was at our office when I found out.
The only social media I am on is The Rush Forum. I despise social media except for this Forum.
In this day and age where there is no privacy and no respect to others personal lives there was no way in Hell I would say a word to anyone.
I love you Neil Peart. Rest In Peace,
How do you know Neil/his family/Rush extended, if I might ask (and I realize the contradiction given this particular thread, so I understand if you decline to answer)? I'm very sorry for your personal loss and the roller coaster you've been on (per your posts).
Legit question.
I would like to know too.

This one. When I was a teenager, I had the inner sleeve of the Farewell to Kings LP pinned up on my bedroom wall. That image of Neil was in it.

Limelight just played during Chiefs/Texans game.
Just now heard that!
Only Rush music I’ve heard since Neil passed. I just can’t do it yet, myself.
I'm right there with you. I just can't do it yet.

Amazing. I hope so.
Just as long as it's not the Niners. But I'm sure it will be.....................
The Vikings were pathetic today.
Go Niners!

F**k Rolling Stone. They managed to dump on Rush for decades until the fans called them out.

Completely agree.
I'm still in the state of "I can't believe it."
