Hello fellow Rush fans. Been a long, long, long time. Probably don't remember or know most of you. Wondering if anyone recalls me. :) If I do, hope you've been well these many years.
  9. Nothing against LZ, they certainly have their place in rock history though personally I never got into them. Let's face it though, those who made it big in FM rock were marketed and became big due to it. Their songs were pushed and ample air time was given. If the program directors had liked Rush at the beginning like they did LZ, they would have gotten their due but we know how Rush was never really given a handshake by those in the industry. Plus, now due to the death of FM rock, "album" sales aren't going to add up for them. I think there is one station in this area that plays new rock music. Most are at the classic rock stage----very sad. Worse yet, you don't hear much rock coming out of high school aged kids' cars anymore. It's mainly rap or whatever similar style is out. That's sad but I guess I digress there a bit.
  10. The original is my favorite movie, having actually seen it when it was new at the theaters. I saw this one yesterday and though I didn't hate it, it just didn't do it for me. I don't think it will be as endearing a movie as the original. My 14 yr old daughter didn't care for it, but my 8 yr old said he liked it better. It's worthy of a trip to see it at the theater though. 2 1/2 stars I say.
  11. I have a hard time paying big money movie theater cost to see an animated film. Not that they're not worth seeing, just that I want more for my money, and that's with real people.
  12. If you like the original Star Trek, then Star Trek: The Motion Picture has sentimental value. Number two (Khan) is better but the first was like a homecoming.
