  1. I bought tickets when they went on sale back whenever that was. Got offered a job I can't refuse, and it happens to be over Nov. 28th in New Mexico. I'm glad to have a job and all, but for f*cks sake! I gave my tickets away to a fellow Canadian friend who has never seen a Rush show. I really hope he likes it, or I may punch him in the arm. I may be able to roll down to Houston for the last show of the leg, but if not, looks like England may be my only chance to see Clockwork Angels live. To everyone who is going to this show, I raise my goblet from the cask of '43 to you all. Peace.
  2. QUOTE (shail @ Oct 12 2012, 09:05 AM) Just heard 7 kids in my daughters class are out with the 24 hour stomach bug. Got it from those buggers. This will be my 2nd sober concert. No drinks for me. At least ill have a better memory of the event. Death won't keep me away from this show tonight. Way to rally!!! I'm inspired. If I ever feel too sick to go to a show, i'll remember this. Thank you, and good luck! btw, extra underpants is a great idea.
  3. 19.99 for a beer mug... I'll steal one when i'm drinking there.
  4. I love it. Hands down best thing since Power Windows for me. Great Great Great! Well beyond expectations. Although I'm not a S&A hater, it totally blows that record out of the water. I just love to hear these guys really kicking ass like they should. Can't wait to spend gobs of cash on !!!
  5. QUOTE (Nate2112 @ Jun 20 2012, 03:05 PM) The worst off of the album along with seven cities of gold and BU2B. My favorites are Clockwork Angels and The Anarchist. I like those too! Especially Anarchist following CA, good lead in.
  6. I've never liked Slash that much, but my esteem grows. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/slash-confirms-at...-202828045.html
  7. QUOTE (Lerxster @ Mar 6 2012, 10:29 AM) I went with PeW. Cool cover, Ou la la cover girl, and it marked the end of the naked guy era PeW is closely followed by FBN, MP, Kings and RTB. haha, end of the naked guy era. Permanent Waves because of the panties! I can see how it might seem sleazy to some, but that was out when i was hitting puberty, so, no brainer for me.

  9. They say there are strangers who threaten us In our immigrants and infidels They say there is strangeness too dangerous In our theaters and bookstore shelves That those who know what's best for us Must rise and save us from ourselves
  10. Roll the Bones for me. T4E 2nd on the list. But saying that, there are some great songs on both those disks.
  11. This guy is just being a big jerk. Rolling Stone has given props to as of late, and others at the magazine like them. What I don't understand is why anyone in the business of music journalism would be so petty and childish toward/about any musician. This just gives the magazine a black eye, and shows us all that it is not a music magazine anymore. I feel for the real journalists who write for RS, and if I were one of them, I'd call for this douche to never write another word.
  12. QUOTE (treeduck @ Apr 15 2011, 09:37 PM) I thought this was going to be an interesting thread... OK treeduck, who is this hot girl with the KFC bucket on her head??? i've been wondering that for a while now.
  13. QUOTE (osage2112 @ Jan 19 2011, 12:28 PM) QUOTE (Bonghitsforjesus @ Dec 28 2010, 01:52 AM) QUOTE (osage2112 @ Dec 7 2010, 11:30 PM) Actually, Austin does suffer from this affliction...the rest of the state knows it and has decided to quarantine the place. Go to Llano, Childress, Balmorhea, Pampa, Tennessee Colony...these are places where you know your neighbors and EXPECT decent behavior. In Austin and the other Metro-hell holes of Texas...anonyimity allows people to follow the liberal line of "I get to do anything I wanna and the rest of you can just eat my shorts." Yeah Austin is Liberal, it's also a festering sanctuary city full of crime and disgust. Great for a good show, pitiful as a place to raise a family. Osage I know a lot of people who would disagree strongly with that kind of blanket statement. Your comment shows me that living in the small towns in Texas is a great place to be small minded, too. have a nice day. Actually, I'm from Houston...and even we look down on Austin's liberal affliction. Osage What's wrong with you, then?
  14. I saw Cheap Trick on a few weeks ago, why not ? I think we need to suggest to the powers that be that would be a great addition to their archives. Let 'em hear it, guys and gals! http://austincitylimits.org/contact
  15. QUOTE (The Owl @ Jan 12 2011, 01:12 AM) I know it's too small (@ 2700 capacity) but I'd love to see Rush play the new Austin City Limits venue that just opened.... It might be too small for Rush, but this venue will attract alot of groups that play the mid size venues (Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Opeth) hopefully this will be a good thing. I saw Cheap Trick on Austin City Limits a few weeks ago, and it made me think Rush should record a performance. That would be the coolest thing ever!
  16. QUOTE (alexforlifeson @ Jan 6 2011, 05:05 PM) wow....interesting POVs in this Forum. First off, why has no one mentioned in this thread that the RUSH show in Austin is scheduled for June 2011? Secondly, thanks to everyone who said Austin is a great place!! This is the most Amazing/Forward Thinking/Green/Intelligent/Drop-Dead Gorgeous/Hip Communities in the Nation and obvbiously the main one in Texas. I was lucky enough to be at both The Erwin Center for their last show in Austin and was 10th Row in San Antonio for this Time Machine Tour in Sept 2010. Do yourself a favor and buy tickets early and get very close to the stage!! I was on the barrier during "Red Barrcheta" and it was one of the greatest Rock moments of my life. As for the dude with the disdain for Austin....what's your problem with Austin? Every other city this size in the State/Nation has a worse crime rate. Austin has been named as one of the top cities to live in the USA for much of the past 2 decades. I agree that Llano is an awesome place, not the actual town of Llano, but the land around it. I am lucky enough to have born into a family that has a large amount of land between Llano and Cherokee that has gorgeous views of Packsaddle and Babyhead. I'm rambling now... f**k it...Go see in Austin and enjoy our Gorgeous City!! Not just good, great!
  17. QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jan 7 2011, 01:38 PM) QUOTE (usb_connector @ Jan 7 2011, 01:35 PM) I thought the moving pictures show was just epic. I'm glad I can see it for a second time. +1 +2
