  1. I hope they play the extended jam version of The Camera Eye. Would be a nice touch to a really short song on the album.
  2. QUOTE (GeddyLeeRoth @ May 28 2010, 10:02 AM) 6. Anything from Moving Pictures Looks like you're SOL on that one. I'll see red if I see the green lasers of Dreamline, and if I hear Roll The Bones, Animate, Between the Wheels or anything from Presto (with the exception of The Pass) and Feedback. I'd rather hear Rivendell than those songs.
  3. How about Nickelback release songs for the sole purpose of being played in strip clubs? I went to one such establishment a couple of months ago, and it seemed the most popular song being played for the gals on the main stage was "Shakin' Hands." That song was stuck in my head for days. I even encouraged my wife to dance to it. She did. I put aside my dislike for Nickelback long enough to enjoy the show.
  4. Can they vote out everyone so there's no winner this season? Some of Idol's past non-winners could beat the ones who are left.
  5. Maybe they'll surprise everyone by playing "Freebird."
  6. Just so happened I listened to both albums (in their entirety!) on a trip this past weekend. The winner, by a nose ... Hold Your Fire Caress of Steel
  7. QUOTE (dakota2112 @ Apr 30 2010, 07:28 AM) QUOTE (Some Half-Forgotten Stranger @ Apr 29 2010, 04:56 PM) When they play Camera Eye (a song I love) I think we are going to see how boring the song is performed live...the reason they haven't played it in ages. I've thought about that myself. Although I hope they can make good use of visuals. Wonder if they'll have actual images of New York and London? I sorta recall seeing images of New York and London on the projection screen during TCE when it was performed on the Moving Pictures tour. Of course, I was smoking some funny stuff back then. I was seeing a lot of things.
  8. QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 27 2010, 02:22 PM) QUOTE (tupelobarchetta @ Apr 27 2010, 02:28 PM) QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 27 2010, 12:57 PM) I think they released crap tickets for these presales - i.e., nothing in the first twn rows and very few for Orch 2, in the center. I am hoping for better luck Friday. Does this mean I got lucky with the Orch 2 tickets? I think so. I kept at it for about an hour and FINALLY got Orch 2 tix, but they were Row T. I want better this time out. I really want in the pit. Probably will have to go to a broker site for this. You don't want to sit on the same row as me? I'm hurt. Heck, I don't blame you. I might try for pit tix, too.

  10. I ordered two sets of tickets in the Orchestra sections. First set: Orch 1, Row R, Seats 12 & 13 Second set: Orch 2, Row T, Seats 7 & 8 I think the first set will wind up being rejected because of an incorrect billing address. I didn't realize the mistake until the transaction was completed. I went through the order process again and wound up with the Orch 2 tickets. If I receive both sets, I'll keep the Orch 2 seats and sell the Orch 1 tix, which are on Geddy's side of the venue.
  11. QUOTE (Queen of Megadon @ Apr 20 2010, 03:09 PM) QUOTE (snowdog2112 @ Apr 20 2010, 03:26 PM) Just because they've promised "Moving Pictures in its entirety" that doesn't mean it has to be all in a row in order. Now, I think the odds are better than 50/50 that it will be played completely in order but the songs could be split up or played in a row with the intermission or encore in the middle and they will still have played MP in its entirety. I'm pretty sure I take it to mean MP in its entirety, first to last song in order. But as mentioned...lots of surprises could be in store. I agree with PariahDog...it could be tough to pull off. RE: MalNar...of course. In my mind...YYZ is always the solo...has been since the beginning of my RUSH fandom. forgive my selective memory This would be an ideal scenario involving MP during the show ... Late in the first set, Rush cranks up Side 1 of MP with Tom Sawyer, followed by Red Barchetta, YYZ (no drum solo) and Limelight to end the first half of the show. Geddy then says they're taking a break for some brain surgery and tells the crowd to get ready for Side 2, causing quite a buzz during intermission. The guys come back, and we go nuts when hear the opening sounds of The Camera Eye. Witch Hunt is next and then it ends with Vital Signs.

  17. Damn, after all this buildup and excitement over the announcement, I could go for a good tall glass of Ovaltine.
