  1. I went to a country show 20-plus years ago to see the Charlie Daniels Band. I didn't care for the main act, Sawyer Brown. Years later, when I went with my son and his friends to the 2007 Family Values tour, I preferred to see Evanescence (I really wanted to see Amy Lee swing her long hair) than the headliner, Korn.
  2. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Jul 20 2010, 10:22 AM) Hey, if anyone bought tickets to the Atlanta show but hates the setlist enough to sell them, keep me in mind. I like the setlist, but Live Nation has yet to send me my tickets. By accident I ordered an extra pair of tickets. When they finally arrive, I'll check with you to see if you still looking for tix.
  3. "Here Again," Alex chimed as he picked-up his axe, strummed a chord, then looked at Geddy and said: "I don't wanna sing my robotic vocal contribution in Subdivisions because it's challenging to watch Neil's hands, pretending he is holding two unicorns." I don't understand Alex's position, but The Mighty F#7add4 Chord sounds as good as it ever has! "Maybe I should learn that chord!," said one unicorn, bouncing off drum-heads, hooves thundering across Neil's indestructable toms. The unicorn's horn snapped-off in Neil's hand, and the beast flew across the studio. I wonder why the horn sounded like a big wet gong hanging on the Elephant's tusk. Geddy sighed, as once again he had to slap his bass with a shovel,"Where's my rake!" Geddy's grip on

If you get up close to the statue, it sort of favors Jackson Browne - one of the song co-writers and supposedly was the one who was stranded in Winslow when his car broke down. The statue and corner is located at Standin' in the Corner Park in the middle of Winslow. The street next to it is part of the historic U.S. Route 66. You only needed a girl in a flatbed ford to slow down and take a look at you. Read the whole thread...I done posted that! Looks like a fine sunny day.. It was a sunny and hot day. It was a dry hot -- a big difference from the muggy drenched-in-sweat hot here in the South.

You beat me to it! The only girl in a flatbed Ford I saw is painted on a mural near the Jackson Browne-like statue on the corner. 7. QUOTE (rushman321 @ Jun 13 2010, 03:15 PM) OK, here's the question: Would you take a three year old to a RUSH concert? I started listening to RUSH in 81' with Moving Pictures and became a true RUSH geek. Then I took my kids to see their first RUSH concert in 2002 with Vapor Trails. Now, should I take my three year old grandson to the Time Machine Concert? Of course I would make him wear heavy duty ear protection and keep him away from people that are smoking. What do you think? Rushman .... send a PM to Skyswing on this board to ask about his experience on taking a young child to a Rush concert. I can't remember if the little Sky was 4, 5 or 6 when she and big daddy Sky saw Rush in New Orleans during the S&A Tour. I was there, too, though I sat five rows in front of them. I saw them briefly when I was leaving. She looked adorable with those huge ear protectors on her head. From my chat with him a few days later, he said his daughter was well behaved and seemed interested in the music. Because of the change in the show schedule, Momma Sky had to stay home because of work.

  10. Dear Double Shifts at Work and No Days Off, You two are kicking my ass. I don't like working from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and then from 4 p.m. to midnight almost every day. Plus, I may not get a full day off until mid July. A heart attack might be the only way out of this. f**k this shit, TB

I was like WTF was that?!!! I guess they all got shot at the diner but you don't really know. I didn't get that feeling that they were all shot. (Left the door open for Sopranos movie.) I wonder how a Sopranos movie would recall the "final scene?" It might be mentioned in a casual conversation about how Tony got lucky at the restaurant when the guy's gun locked up as he tried to fire at close range. A Sopranos movie might also involve the trial of Tony Soprano, which would allow an unlikely person to step in and become a major player in running 'North Jersey.' Here's what I think would be a good premise for the movie: If you watch the last scene from the finale, you see that there are a lot of Tony's enemies in the diner with them. The last we see of Meadow in the scene, she's parked her car and is running to the diner's entrance. As Tony looks up, we hear the ding of the bell on the door, which I take to mean that Meadow has just entered the diner. What I think should happen next is that one of Tony's enemies steps from the shadows, puts a gun to Meadow's head, Pulls the trigger, and looks at Tony and says something like: "That's for Johnny" and then he spits on Tony and runs out of the diner. The rest of the movie will be about the Sopranos dealing with Meadow's death and Tony and his crew going after Meadow's killer and his crew, leading to an all-out war between Tony and one of the New York families. I like your scenario, Jack. Mine also involves Meadow, perhaps as a subplot in the movie. She ditches life as a corporate attorney to become part of the crew after someone - husband Patrick, A.J. or even Carmella - is murdered by a person linked to one of the New York families or by Russian mobsters. Having already worked behind the scenes as Tony's legal adviser, she avenges the death and becomes a "made man," allowing her to get more involved. She brings to the mob her smarts (she figured out at a young age Tony was involved in more than 'waste management') and the huge Italian-American chip on her shoulder that inspired her to become an attorney. We're coming up with good ideas for a Sopranos movie. I wonder if David Chase is surfing the internet seeing all these scenarios and thinking to himself, "Aw, f**k, someone else has come up with my idea." Then he trashes his latest script and starts over. That, or he's taking notes! I like your scenario, too! Very cool! Whoever gets whacked in the movie should join the likes of Chris, Adrianne, Bobby, Big Pussy, Tony B., Ralphie, Gloria Trillo, Johnny Boy, Livia, Jackie Sr. and Jr., Vito, Johnny Sack, Phil Leotardo, and others in the ultimate Tony Soprano dream.
  13. The Weapon is my second choice. If this is the choice, maybe it will have a new Count Floyd intro: "Look at that guy dancing on the front row. He was scary back in the '80s and he's still scary today."
  14. Out of 10 votes cast in the poll so far, the band's only American Top 40 hit has none. For the record, I voted for Countdown.

  17. QUOTE (Mara @ Jun 2 2010, 07:24 PM) Maybe they could tattoo themselves from head to toe and wear minimal clothing onstage, to show off their new ink. And they would encourage crowd surfing and circle pits during their songs.
  18. Here's an idea for Rush's new look ... Geddy and Alex could grow really, really long beards, and the three of them would wear dark sunglasses for that cool look. To go with the image change, they'll record radio-friendly songs and film a series of videos featuring them, three hot looking women and a car. Sounds like a winner, eh?
