  1. Hard to vote against "Driven" but since you folks are making me choose the title track is my fave, by a hair. And "Dog Years" may be silly, but I like it a bunch, so THERE!
  2. "Animate" cause it rocks! Like it in studio version better than live.
  3. "Ghost of a Chance" for me. Once again with the weepy emotional messages for me. I believe there's a ghost of a chance We can find someone to love And make it last.
  4. This was probably the hardest choice for me. I love "Time Stand Still", as it expresses so much about growing older, looking around, living in the moment. I love "Prime Mover", "Turn The Page", "Force Ten" also. Went with "Open Secrets" as it is so emotionally moving for me. The interplay of partners in a long-term relationship, the tightrope we all walk between intimacy and isolation, all are very powerful and affecting. "Closed for my protection Open to your scorn Between these two directions My heart is sometimes torn"
  5. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 24 2004, 09:06 AM) QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 23 2004, 04:30 PM) "What are you rebelling against?" "Whattya got?" Brando. 'The Wild One'. Yessireebob! Ju gut it maing! Your turn.
  6. "Mystic Rhythms" is SO powerful. The rhythms! The mysticism! My fave.
  7. Tough choice. BTW is an awesome song, "Red Sector A" once of their most haunting, but I went with "Afterimage". The evocation of a lost loved one is so powerful. "I feel the way you would."
  8. "Countdown" because I'm such a fan of the space program, even after the tragedies of late. "Analog Kid" a close second.
  9. "YYZ" is the epitome of Rush's instrumental virtuosity. It's Kool Man!!
  10. I will choose..........Freewill! Alex's guitar work, WOW!
  11. Great album. All great songs, but the title track epic, "Cygnus X-1, Book II" is their best work ever IMO.
  12. No doubt in my mind about this one: XANADUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! The section at the beginning when Alex stops playing around and decides to let fly with the riffs is one of my favorite moments in all of their recorded work. Wowzer!
  13. Title track is epic, of course. Hard not to choose it for the Overture alone, but for me, "Something for Nothing" is intense, and for me the perfect epitome of early Rush. I also love the message (see my sig).
  14. "Lakeside Park" evokes warm memories, but for me, their early show opener does it for me. "Bastille Day" "La guillotine will claim her bloody prize" Not a big fan of the French Revolution, much preferring the outcome of the American Revolution, but the song rocks! My favorite rendition is from the 3rd CD of "Different Stages". Geddy's bass is unearthly.
  15. "Tobes of Hades lit by flickering TORCHLIGHT!!!" The epic battle between two yippy dogs gets my vote!
  16. Up until this tour, I could have picked none other than "Working Man". But what an awesome way to start an album, and a career, with "Finding My Way"! YEAH! OHHHHH YEAH!!!
  17. I do love "The Pass", but "Available Light" ends the LP on such an emotional high, I voted for it.
  18. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 23 2004, 05:35 PM) QUOTE (BSG @ Aug 23 2004, 04:30 PM) "What are you rebelling against?" "Whattya got?" 'Airheads'? Sorry,
  19. "What are you rebelling against?" "Whattya got?"
  20. Ok! Lookin' for a good, but not too difficult one. Please remember to quote the current quote in all replies (right, Jack?) Ok, next post will be JUST the quote, I promise.
  21. Since we're talking about it, I once partook, but no longer do so. I am in favor of legalization.
  22. I suppose my 36-Hours-of-Rush Holiday does not qualify as a single moment. So I will try and narrow it down. Tough job, that! My most memorable moment was the moment my 4 months (since buying the tickets), 12 years (since my last true rock concert), and 14 years (since seeing the boys) of waiting came to an end. Jerry Stiller called the boys out, Geddy strolled onstage 15 feet from me, Neil ran on stage, and Alex launched into the opening riffs. Heaven on earth!
  23. That's a dam* good domain. Glad it was available. Or have you owned it for a few years?
  24. QUOTE (RushRevisited @ Aug 22 2004, 11:13 PM) QUOTE (bsg2112 @ Aug 23 2004, 12:08 AM) Is there a chatroom yet? If so, can it be made better than the old one? I am gonna pass on that chat thing for now. I could get a cheasey one for free or the real one for $89 - I am going to wait for now and see how this goes. I'd be willing to chip in.
