We made something for dinner tonight that was new for us and we just kinda "winged" it on the recipe.
We made "Pork Wings".
Medium thickness strips of pork tenderloin wrapped with bacon and deep fried first for crispiness and then finished off in the oven.
Also made a sweet & spicy dipping sauce with orange blossom honey, orange juice and pepper flakes.
Sides were Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits (they sell the mix in the store now!) and corn on the cob.
It was delicious!!

Homemade chicken salad on a Hawaiian sweet roll with American cheese and romaine lettuce. Cheetos on the side and a big glass of Arizona Lemon sweet tea.

Love pizza but don't like thick crust. Too much dough. I'd rather have a crust as thin and crispy as possible with a lot of toppings. I like to be able to eat many slices and thick crust fills you up too quickly.

ENA, this is a soccer thread. You're not going to get many views of this stuff unless you post it in the NFL thread.
My error. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't drink soda as often as I used to but when I do, I prefer to have fountain soda rather than a can or a plastic bottle.
Who remembers "Jolt" cola? All the sugan and twice the caffeine.
Loved Jolt!! Used to drink it all the time. Was the only soda made with real sugar at the time but now you can buy "throwback" Pepsi and get real sugar.

I really like it. I know the admins have probably put in countless hours to get this done and working for everyone. I, for one, really appreciate that effort to bring us a place like this.
:ebert:
I especially like that video links, like YouTube, show a preview pic.

Is parking free?
Parking is included in the ticket price.

My son and I went to the box office this morning and scored seats in row 10 orchestra 3 !! Absolutely incredible!! Love paying face price for tickets like those.
The parking opens at 5:00 and my son and I will be there then to get a good spot. Hope to see some of you there!!

QUOTE (sullysue @ Oct 23 2012, 01:55 PM) I think I may have more cookbooks than any other kind of book! My favorite will always be my mom's handed down copy of Joy of Cooking. It's falling apart, but it's my cooking bible. I do spend a lot of time at Epicurious.com, and I subscribe to Bon Appetite magazine. But, there's something about thumbing through that old, beat-up cookbook that the internet can't match. I have a couple of very old hand-me-down cookbooks as well that came from my Mother.
Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook
Better Homes and Garden - New Cook Book
Both of them are falling apart with pages coming out, bindings coming loose, etc. But, they have been invaluable throughout my adult life helping me understand the basics of cooking.

QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Oct 5 2012, 09:53 AM) QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Oct 5 2012, 09:54 AM) QUOTE (MMCXII @ Oct 5 2012, 02:37 AM) Best suggestions so far are Page and Gene Simmons. Page for his status and Simmons for entertainment value. Gene would surely bring up the Kiss snub but that would also be entertaining.. Does it need to be a past inductee to qualify?
Also what's the possibility that Rush would perform at the ceremonies? If so they should do The Garden!Isn't it 100% they will perform?
Going back to my OP, does Rush pick who inducts them?
If that's the case, I think they'd go low profile...like that Donna whatshername that played their record. Their style is always very low key
