Listening to the new album now, has hints of PT and Wilson’s work on Grace For Drowning and The Future Bites but way better than either. In some ways it’s almost like a tribute to Peter Gabriel. Of course it sounds fantastic.

Poor and disappointing display from England who, I think, bottled it. Spain were better, fitter and more controlled. -
I think Tottenham will struggle again this season unless they spend the Kane money well.

Her performance of Nothing Compares 2 U is astonishing. The lady had lots of issues including her son taking his own life recently. RIP

I got into Rush on the back of the first 4 albums via ATWAS. AFTK was the first I bought day of release and felt it was a massive step up from all that went before. GUP started the rot in terms of outstanding releases and Hold Your Fire was the nadir, though Time Stand Still is one of my favourite Rush tracks. Presto, RTB, CP, and T4E are albums I rarely listen to. I was more forgiving when they returned after Peart’s tragedies but VT and Snakes are a bit meh and CA is just decent. So, if GUP was the first album I heard it’s touch and go if I’d got into the earlier stuff.

Overcast, windy and about to rain.

Even as a Man Utd fan I have to say that City were magnificent against Bayern last night. Real Madrid and Arsenal beware.

Everyone bow down to this awesomeness! Even Zimmer himself is awestruck.

Messi just stamped himself all over this World Cup. He’s finally performing.

Wales were poor tonight and given that they had to win by 4 or more goals they were never on the front foot. Congratulations to team USA. The Netherlands are not a great side and are very beatable.

Any other country would have Foden and Alexander Arnold in their starting 11. I say that as a Man Utd fan.
