(i.e., Undisputed teaching of Jesus that conflict with undisputed views of republicans)." Republicans actively infringe upon the rights and private lives of gay people and use the teachings of Christ as the basis of their platform. i'm not a republican but i honestly think inside obama is against gay marriage but tells the world he's for gay marriage in order to get the vote and the donations rolling in. politicians will say and do anything to save their own ass and keep the money rolling in. Chick-Fil-A. did you have to bring food into this? mmm spicy chick fil a. does sound good doesn't it? I would go to one but our liberal mayor doesn't believe in private enterprise. not sure where you're at but i never knew they had one in manhattan. i'll be going there for lunch break tomorrow.

QUOTE (metaldad @ Aug 15 2012, 09:23 AM) I look foward to the solo now, i also look foward to him Losing that Hat i would be blown away if he lost that hat and there was no big band music this tour. i'd also like to see him lose the electronic stuff but you can't have everything. -

QUOTE (HalfwayToGone @ Aug 14 2012, 08:19 PM) QUOTE (metaldad @ Aug 14 2012, 01:35 PM) No, he will still play that shit DW set with one bass drum and all the percussion sampled um, yeah "that shit DW kit," that the guy who's been playing drums for over 40 years decided he likes better than any of the other umpteen brands of drums he's played in his lifetime. do you think his dw's sound better than his old tama's? -
maybe by improv he means he's going to use nick the producer as a conductor with his baton.
-
if he's serious about what he said i welcome it. if not it's going to be the same ole start off strong, into the highly boring electronic drums, and into the big band musical finish. i'm torn between which part i hate more, the electronics part or the big band part.

Official C.A. Tour Set List Prediction Thread

QUOTE (metaldad @ Aug 14 2012, 01:13 PM) If they do Far Cry as the opening song , that will be the fastest Beer/Piss break to start a show ever that and they will probably do a 10 minute intro comedy bit is painful to watch. the first couple of tours it was ok now it's painful to watch and a waste of time. -
QUOTE (rushgoober @ Aug 4 2012, 07:46 AM) QUOTE (canadianice @ Aug 3 2012, 10:06 PM) Just leave this masterpiece alone, why in the world would you want to mess with it? This is a CLASSIC, please leave it that way. Take any Rush song and someone will think it's a classic. Some people feel that way about Dog Years. and some actually think that way about far cry.
-
they are definitely going to play the wreckers which means it's a pee/beer break but if they play 7 cities followed by the wreckers and than headlong flight after that, which they will probably do, it's a very tricky pee/beer break. have to be out quick after 7 cities, than hope the beer line isn't too long in order to get back for headlong flight in time.

QUOTE (HereAgain @ Aug 3 2012, 11:59 PM) To me, Analog Kid is one of Rush's greatest songs and an unbelieveable experlience live! Who's with me on this? yes but they won't play it. they're going to play roll the bones instead.

QUOTE (That One Guy @ Aug 5 2012, 02:04 PM) even if there's gonna be a "string section"

You don't believe this album deserves that kind of recognition...I get that. I think the boys deserve it with HF. Polarizing topic. It'll be interesting to read your reaction if it happens. Rock on ER!!!! i won't care either way just like with the rock n roll h of f.

QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jul 24 2012, 03:02 PM) I do not think they will play any songs that didn't have strings in them to begin with. If the song didn't have it originally I don't think they will re-arrange it to play it with strings now. i hope you're right.

i'd rather call in an order for eggplant parm with a side of ziti.

QUOTE (canadianice @ Aug 3 2012, 10:57 AM) QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Aug 3 2012, 10:43 AM) QUOTE (trenken @ Aug 2 2012, 07:37 AM) QUOTE (eshine @ Aug 2 2012, 02:50 AM) It is succinct. The guy sounds like a Rush fan but not a fanboy. His comments are right on the mark. QUOTE Geddy Lee's bass is mixed further up-front than it has been in some time -- which makes his mind-blowing chops resound: there are amazing pizzicatos interspersed in driving hard rock fills and edgy, off-kilter funk riffs. His voice is more nuanced and more emotionally expressive. QUOTE Alex Lifeson's acoustic guitars have an established place here, but his electric axes roar over them throughout. QUOTE Peart's drumming is the catalyst: his technical mastery makes his playing sound purely instinctive. CA is full of dynamic surprises I've read all the reviews of this album, but this one seemed so immediate to me - and unbiased. It hit all the right buttons for me. John Myung has MIND BLOWING chops. Geddy has never even been remotely close to that complex of a bassist. i realize you're trying to make a point about the mind blowing chops etc...but what it comes down to is everyone has a different set of ears. john myung is like the eddie van halen of guitar with the blazing speed and all the tapping but everyone has a different style. john myung might be a great bass player, and dt might be great to many fans, but to me i can't listen to it. I cant listen to it as well. Sonic waste put me to sleep not sonic waste but just a different kind of listen. myung is a monster on the bass but a little too much for me.
