remove: force ten, the big money, working man, grand designs, the body electric, far cry, red sector a, bravado, and where's my thing. insert: earthshine, mal nar, (i'm not a fan of s & a but i can stomach mal nar), the enemy within, time and motion, a farewell to kings, beneath, between, and behind, red barchetta, a jam from caress of steel, losing it.

talking about 2112 and working man, why do they keep bringing them back?

Clockwork Angels Tour Setlist

QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 9 2012, 06:45 AM) QUOTE (Pause Rewind Replay @ Sep 9 2012, 02:57 AM) A solid thumbs up Its not my utimate wish set, but getting AK, Body Electric and Territories certainly shortened my bucket list Seeing the poll results and no surprise... when forced into a show of hands the whiners and moaners are once again vastly outumbered 84.66% like or love the setlist. are you sure that's the exact percentage? -

I think this is the the highest percentage of happy Rush fans in regards to a setlist I have seen to date. That's just one guy's opinion. maybe a higher percentage of fanboi's than in recent years. seriously, dude, what is your f***ing problem? Hemmeroids you should get them checked out. -
QUOTE (Todem @ Sep 8 2012, 09:52 PM) stay home. don't worry i am. no sense in forcing myself to something i won't enjoy and i will leave the seat available for someone who might.

absolutely it's a geddy tailored setlist which they all agreed could play night after night. you either like it or you don't, and will either be in attendance or choose not to. i choose not to but wish everyone a good time at their show.

Does anyone hate the setlist so much...
ReflectedLight replied to Rod in Toronto's topic in On The Lighted Stage
count me out as a die hard than. everything was good until power windows with a few clunkers like body electric. after that they lost me on alot of stuff unless you dug the heavy synth period. alot of the 90's sucked heavily. 1/2 of vt was good, s & a sucked, and 1/2 of ca is good. geds voice being shot explains the current setlist. it is what it is. -

That's my guess, but your complaints are purely valid for discussion. New here, but LONG time fan. Been to so many Rush concerts I lost count. While everyone has valid points and opinions, it's quite obvious to me that this set list is all about Ged's range an vocal ability at this time. I can't even fathom him singing "much" from the 70's anymore without sounding strained, nasally or just plain bad. What about Cinderella Man? His vocals are pretty low on that song and even the high parts aren't all that high... i was hoping for that one also.

QUOTE (traeplien @ Sep 8 2012, 12:14 PM) I'm a "hard core" Rush fan and I do NOT think these are songs for the hard core fan. You want hard core? Jacobs Ladder, Xanadu, Hemispheres, 2112 complete, By Tor, Natural Science, A Farewell to Kings, La Villa Strangiato, need I go on?? different strings, beneath, between, and behind, anything from caress of steel, something for nothing, lessons, twilight zone, the weapon, the enemy within, a farewell to kings, and so on..... the problem is ged can't touch them. -

I loved Subdivisions as an opening tune. ...Territories & Where's My Thing How is Where's My Thing a surprise? It hasn't been played since the summer of 1992, which is 20 years ago. That makes its return a surprise. And, I did not expect four songs from PoW. i didn't either. -
QUOTE (DBJetsman @ Sep 8 2012, 10:48 AM) Where's my Thing is awesome! I'm excited to hear that one. I'm still confused why they're playing 4 songs from such a mediocre album (PoW) and they're not playing Marathon. I hope they play the leaked setlist since there were 6 songs I would've loved to hear from it.... never liked where's my thing. hated it when they did it on the roll the bones tour and hate it now.

In fact there's 1 song from the 70s... Ok I'm nit picking maybe but this is just not my kind of setlist I suppose, too much from the mid 80s, & the same old 90s tracks and almost zero from the 70s... I'm thrilled they've gone all 80's on us. You're just old. You so old when you were at school there was no history class! ZING! You're the old man! I don't mind the 80s but why not The Weapon, Afterimage, Kid Gloves, Between the Wheels, Jacob's Ladder, Natural Science... They hardly ever do any Farewell to Kings! They were the ones who said they were gonna dig out the old school classics? So where are they? agree with all of this and i have no answer. even the enemy within and the weapon, and so on....

Because they're shit. No they're not! But the Body Electric is! It's a pseudo dance track! And do they always reach for Bravado? Where's My Thing? Boooring! agreed.

QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Sep 8 2012, 08:52 AM) QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Sep 8 2012, 08:31 AM) 50% good Rush, 50% bad-a failing grade in my book- Won't be at this show, sad to say.. Well then I don't see the point of Rush continuing this tour. But I am hoping when the Rush camp hears you will not be attending, changes to the setlist will be made we can only hope. it's the only way i would go.
