  1. Good day yesterday, (as of now) I think my medication situation is leveling off a little bit and I don't feel as high as a kite all the time. After surgery, my dosage was increased to prevent relapse and the dosage was more than I had ever taken before. I've been slowly reducing my daily dosage and the "high" I had been getting is getting better, best thing, no seizures.
  2. My older brother played guitar and hooked up with a drummer friend and they started jamming on weekends, this was back in 1977 shortly after 2112 had been released. He loaned my brother his vinyl copy of 2112 and told him this was the kind of music he wanted to work on playing. I heard my brother playing 2112 in his room and practicing along with it. That was my first taste of Rush and I've been hooked ever since. The guy he was playing drums with was my first inspiration to play drums and his set was the first I ever sat behind. When he and my brother would jam at our parents house on weekends, he left his set at our house and let me play them and gave me exercises to work on rather than just banging on them making noise.
  3. Congrats and welcome to the Hall!
  4. I'm sorry for your loss, R.I.P Pamela.
  5. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jul 3 2012, 04:03 PM)Have people been setting fireworks off all weekend round your areas? As I was reading and scrolling down this topic, I gave it a quick thought and realized I had not heard anything, then suddenly, BOOM! That was the first sign that 'tis the season, I had heard! Happy 4th of July Everyone!
  6. November 29, 1982 Capital Centre -- Largo, Maryland (Rory Gallagher) My ticket was $11.50, the tour book I bought, which I still have, was $10.00 and my t-shirt was $12.00.
  7. Just stumbled on this CA Tour Ad:

  9. Never underestimate the power of productive noise, the time to worry is when it's too quiet.
  10. No seizures lately and the migraine headaches I've been having seem to be less severe and haven't been lasting as long as they had been the past couple of weeks. Even though my surgery was over a year ago, this is brain surgery I'm talking about. I still want to get my MMJ license and start a crop here @ home. MMJ is legal here in NV and my Dr already told me he doesn't care if I use it or not but doesn't want me to stop my regular Epilepsy med schedule anytime soon.

  12. Great stuff, project idea for my new place! (In all the moving and shuffling, I don't even have a copy of CA to listen to yet.)

  15. If Tony's having Chemo-therapy, that will cause his hair to fall out and what's left of it to look awful.
  16. Been doing much better lately, the med I've been taking is the generic equivalent of Depakote and the pharmacy switched generic brands on me. I talked to my Dr and the pharmacy about it and my Dr told me the generic was OK and the pharmacy said the generic switch was only temporary because the normal brand they get wasn't available and they filled my script with another brand. The "regular" generic would be back in stock before the next time my script was due. What I need to do is get my meds through mail order until I can get off of them completely. I used to have my meds set up on a mail order program where the same meds were delivered to my mail box on a regular basis and because they are a maintenance drug, I never had to worry about calling in or picking up refills, they just showed up in my mailbox when they were due. I should get them set-up on mail order through Medicare, Lord knows what's going to happen to Medicare until Obamacare is repealed.
  17. Van Halen played here @ The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV on May 27 but I wasn't able to attend, I would have loved to have seen the "new singer".
  18. I would have to say, my Rush Bobblehead set, I did however win them from Rush.com when it first went online. I do believe I was the first winner of a set of Bobbleheads from Rush.com, my first name and last initial was on the site for about a year. Yes, the bobbleheads are silly but, I think they're pretty cool because I won them from Rush.com.
  19. Van Halen is playing here in Las Vegas, NV tonight!
  20. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Apr 25 2012, 12:57 AM)QUOTE (Drumnut @ Apr 25 2012, 01:20 AM) Wow, great article, I'm currently pursuing a MMJ license here in the states to help control my Epilepsy and treat the painful headaches I still get after right temporal lobe surgery. I've already received a verbal approval from my Dr but he says his office can't help me with the paperwork and that I have to file for an application through the state of Nevada. A copy of my medical records will prove that I have an acceptable condition on the list of conditions MMJ is used to treat. Hey uhh, wanna meet up at the show in Vegas? nudge nudge, wink wink Let's talk about it...
