  1. ^^^ I dunno what kind of clan the "FRIDGE CLAN" is but most certainly my ancestors the GUNN Clan woulda kicked your clans A$$. We kicked the crapola out of the Keiths and were descended from Olaf the Black. Betcha didn't even know that did ya - you sheep fondling bagpipe doodler!?
  2. Dear bottled water companies, You're F**KED now. I took one of your empty bottles and refill it from the TAP. It 'tastes' just the same and is probably 'safer'. Who needs tap water to travel 1,000 miles in a dirty polluting transport? I am spreading the word. Sincerely, I Can't Believe I ever Fell for your Stupid Marketing Ploys to begin With
  3. I used to watch both South Park and Family Guy religiously and still love Family Guy very much but I think I have become desensitized to those shows by something far greater. If any of you are into cartoon crassness and feel ready to take it to the next level I might highly recommend "Drawn Together" if you haven't heard of it before. I think it currently only airs in the US as part of Adult Swim on Cartoon Network but you can download the episodes or buy the DVDs also. 4. QUOTE (neilpeart_gal @ Sep 7 2004, 09:11 PM) 27% female, not too bad!!! Yes however studies have shown that the average female is 79 percent more inclined to participate in polls than the average male. Also the 95th percentile of female participation on INTERNET polls is almost a factor of three over the median male response rate of 28.7 percent. But I digress. Age : 33 Sex : Yes please
  5. How about everyone just do reverse ignoring instead? Everybuddy make your own thread - call it your user name if you like. Only ever ever post in YOUR thread. If everyone did this - it would be easy for people to ignore whoever they wish by not going into their thread. Sounds like a plan? Ok you go first.
  6. I simply adore negativity. Let me give you an example - one of my favorite little Jack Handy quotes: They say when you hear a bell ring - an angel gets their wings. What they don't tell you is when you hear a mousetrap *SNAP* - an angel gets set on fire.
  7. Greetings oh glorious, wise and beautiful New World Women. I hope you will forgive me for entering your realm but I do so for just a brief moment. Over in our silly and awesome "THAT'S IT" thread we have for weeks deliberated on such topics as Rush as country music - and also the majesty of breasts. For a change we REALLY wanted to do something special for the ladies. Geddy and I have collaborated and are delighted to announce a new poster dedicated to the NWW and exclusive to TRF! Hope you all love it - and all the very best to you all! http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?show...ndpost&p=957425 *bows gracefully and departs*
  8. QUOTE (ALifeson85 @ Jul 6 2007, 01:29 PM) The only part in ANY of the three SAW films that REALLY made me almost look away from the screen, was in Saw II, when Amanda was thrown into the pit of needles...Eeeeeehhhuuuugggg!!! Just the thought of hundreds of syringes sticking into you...just... GREAT scene, though, haha That's funny - that scene gets SOOOO many people. Needles bother me too - but not so much that scene. Half of Pulp Fiction or Trainspotting I found way worse needle-wise.
  9. I loved the movie because it delivered just what one expects - lots of gore. And it was one of the gorier new movies I've seen in a long while. I am royally tired of the countless other franchises that have risen up as torture clone gore and never deliver jack squat. They advertise as the goriest most brutal shocking film of our generation - then they just totally suck. Total letdowns include: HOSTEL THE DEVILS REJECTS TURISTAS etc
  10. QUOTE (Cygnalschick @ Jun 22 2007, 06:21 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 22 2007, 01:35 PM) HYF is a bloody great album and probably the best bass album overall of Geddy's career... There are some great bass lines on HYF I've learned Open Secrets, and it's a lot of fun to play Wow - bass player! About the only Rush I can handle on bass would be YYZ on medium mode on Guitar Hero II. That's awesome you are into it though. I actually have a bass and a little amp but almost never ever play it - for me it's more about spending precious free time on the guitar.
  11. There is no such thing as bad Rush - only different. Although I prefer the rawer kick-ass Rush - I love Hold your Fire very much - it is very much a masterpiece.
  12. Actually the trailer makes it look pretty awesome regardless. Man those trailer guys are geniuses. They even have me pumped up about seeing Transformers.
  13. Ahhhh man. I was so excited when I saw this thread. The Omega Man is one of my favorite classics. Like the rest of you however i am deadly disappointed about the Will Smith thing. Hollywood sucks nowadays more than ever. I think I'll officially give up and stick to foreign films and B movies from now on. Grrrrrrrrr
  14. Good morning y'all! Damn it's early! *groans*
  15. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ May 25 2007, 10:02 PM) Start with this, one of the greatest chase scenes of all time. And Steve did most of the driving himself! Bullitt Chase Scene - Viva Mustang & Charger Excellent movie for sure - and certainly one if the best if not THE best car chase scene of all time. *vrooom* I love it is most McQueen movies how they actually make him out to be a really bad driver. LOL
  16. Nevermore is awesome and.... then have something in common with Rush. They totally take you to that next level of fandom whern you see them live. If you ever get the chance JUMP on it, their shows are excellent. Probably saw them 4 of 5 times anyways usually opening act for bands like In Flames, Iced Earth, Arch Enemy.
  17. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 16 2007, 01:28 PM) QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Jun 16 2007, 10:45 AM) I'm not a fan of the first one but I can't pass up the Silver Surfer. I can't pass up Jessica... That being said I may bypass the movie and spend that budget on Sin City instead. That scene...
  18. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jun 12 2007, 08:27 AM) Yep, it's the final scene. Wow. The longer I stare at it - the less certain I am whether Tony suddenly sees/realizes something or if he is completely oblivious.
  19. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jun 12 2007, 08:02 AM) Thanks! I shamelessly stole it from another site. That looks like the last couple seconds of the series? (minus the blackness of course)
  20. Hahaha! If I was bored today I would reverse engineer the clues for that! Unfortunately I am swamped today.
  21. Here is an interesting spin on the "fade to black". "You probably don't even hear it when it happens, right?" From Tony's perspective the second the screen went black was the second he was dead. Badda boom! Article
  22. QUOTE (JDL2112 @ Jun 10 2007, 10:20 PM) SWEET!!! I love Rush puzzles... Where might it be at? Love to see it! Apparently you need to sign about 70 pages of disclaimers and waivers in triplicate to get to see it. Buddy guards it closer than Geddy guards his cell number from us.
  23. I just watched the finale last night and have since let it sink in a bit. I'm all with those people who thought the cable cut out or something the end was so abrupt. Overall I really like the way they wrapped things up. Think of all the action the past several episodes - the number of whacks alone it's just been crazy, the mob war come and gone, Tony wrapping things up with his shrink. I think the intent of this episode was more of a farewell to the Sopranos nuclear family and a return to status quo - that march of paranoia goes on. Nice to see Phil get popped. Throw him onto the pile of very vile characters we've been yearning to see get smushed. His death almost makes up for the disappointing death of the terribly annoying Mr Sacks. Also addressed is the absolute decline of Uncle Junior - he's no longer a threat to testify against Tony. We also see a bit of closure with the Feds where they are on Tony's side - all but telling him where to find Phil. Great end to the series - unless of course you are one of those people who hoped they might make Tony the boss of the world and he flies to Italy to meet the Pope and move into a gargantuan castle and stuff..
  24. Finally watched it last night. Good flick!
  25. I watched the first 20 mins or so before something suddenly came up. I'm sure I'll be watching it at some point this week - heard it was very good.
