He told Richard he couldn't bring back his wife, or absolve him of his sins, but suuure....I can give you eternal life! WTF?? Where does he get THIS power from? I'm going to assume that there will be an entire episode dedicated to the whole back story of Jacob and the Man in Black....probably the episode just before the final show or even during the final episode itself. Agreed. I don't see how they can possibly wrap up this series without explaining who Jacob and the Man in Black are. OR...it would be just like them to leave that unanswered. touche, my good man

  3. QUOTE (theredtamasrule @ Mar 24 2010, 09:21 PM) I have to say that Terry O'Quinn, who plays Smokey/John Locke, is simply riveting...can't take my eyes off of him. Great performances there, without a doubt. He has been the most intriguing character since the first episode.

You're moving around pretty good for a guy with a hole in his stomach did i miss something? About 2-3 episodes ago, he was stabbed in the gut. Within 10 minutes (remember, the show is "real time") he was running and jumping and now just a mere 2 or 3 hours after getting stabbed, its like it never happened. To date I have seen every episode of 24 from the season one premier until last Monday. But the show has lost me. so sandwiched between all the sh*t i mentioned he was stabbed...well ef me! forget universal health care, he's in a universe all his own! We gotta take a blood sample and make enough vaccine/serum for all people on Earth, and maybe a few other sundry NEE's (Non Earth Entities) for their extended health well being and "good cheer" was it when he busted Renee' out of the hands of the Russkies?? Yup, thats exactly when it happened. The guy gets stabbed, is in pain for about 2-3 minutes and then he is perfectly ok. I really used to be addicted to the show, but they've jumped the shark, imo.

  7. I thought it was a great episode. I agree with other who stated what a great acting job Nestor Carbonell did. No, we didn't get a lot of answers, but we got some very intriguing hints. I really enjoyed the episode.
  8. QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Mar 19 2010, 10:04 AM) Crap, I missed the premiere. Maybe I can find a re-run. FX replays it tonight (Friday) at 11:00pm EST. Hope you enjoy!
  9. Just saw the series premier of Justified on FX. And it was pretty darn good! Timothy Olyphant from HBO's Deadwood stars as US Marshall Raylon Givens and Walton Goggins (Shane from FX's "The Shield") as an extremely unlikeable white supremicist (is there any other kind?) Boyd Crowder. It is based on a short story by Elmore Leonard called "Fire in the Hole." It was a great premier to what looks like what will be an excellent new series on FX. Anybody else see this yet?
  10. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Mar 11 2010, 09:42 AM) Oh my God! This makes you want to stand up and cheer! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to make a longbow and fashion some arrows. Rise and rise again. Until lambs become lions. clicked to watch but it says "Sorry this video is no longer available" edit: found it on Looks great, can't wait!
  11. QUOTE (Mara @ Mar 10 2010, 01:17 PM) My husband hates it. . . :huh Grounds for divorce I tell you, DIVORCE!!!! Martin DeBergi: "The review for Shark Sandwich is simply two words, "Shit Sandwich"" Nigel: "Thats not real is it?"
  12. QUOTE (treeduck @ Mar 10 2010, 05:49 PM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Mar 10 2010, 05:48 PM) After last nights episode it was cool to find out (SPOILERS!!! Highlight to read) That Jack's father and all the other dead people that appeared were really the Man in Black/aka/Smoke Monster. At least some questions are being answered. But now we have to find out, who is the smoke monster??? Is is Satan or some demon? Hey Snowy I bet you're not a Chuck Norris fan... I'm afraid you lost me with that one, Treeduck. Care to clue me in with a PM? I'd appreciate it.

  16. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Mar 10 2010, 07:44 AM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Mar 9 2010, 10:09 PM) The cable went out during the final seconds of tonights episode. SPOILERS BELOW highlight to read: My cable cut out right at the end when they showed the sub and the crewman said something to the captain and then it cut out. I am assuming the Captain was somebody important and said something important. Can you tell me what was said and who said it, i.e, who was the captain? Highlight to read: It was Charles Widmore. Thanks Jack

  18. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Mar 5 2010, 05:08 PM) We were supposed to go with some friends tomorrow, but they want to go to see it in IMAX 3D. $17.50 a ticket. No Thanks. Took Mrs. Snow to see this earlier today in Imax 3D and it was visually stunning. A visual masterpiece. The story, well, I've never read the book, so I can't say how true to form it was, but it was entertaining. And Depp was brilliant as the Mad Hatter.
  19. I saw the thread title and thought this was a plea for Viagra
  20. Original link isn't coming up for me but found it on . That old dude kicked some serious butt!
  21. Well, the thread asks which city will host the 6th sow of the 2010 tour, so my guess is Houston which is current rated the 6th fattest city in the nation.
  22. Just saw the trailer for this one I didn't know these two were working together again, but what a great surprise! And release day is May 14, so its getting close!!! The reunion of Crowe and Scott, in this style of movie in particular will surely be another epic movie
  23. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Feb 14 2010, 12:33 PM) I've now seen 9 of the 10 best picture nominees. Only The Blind Side to go. Its a throughly enjoyable movie, but again, Best Picture nominee??? Really???
  24. QUOTE (Alex @ Feb 14 2010, 12:58 PM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Feb 14 2010, 08:33 AM) QUOTE (Alex @ Feb 13 2010, 10:40 PM) Its not about the action guys... I get that. And don't get me wrong, its not a bad movie. But as I said in my first post, I just don't see how this gets a best picture nomination. Compared to other movies from other years. Well, yeah. The Hurt Locker is nowhere near being as close to Oscar material as The Godfather is. But it sure as hell deserves an Oscar more than Inglorious Bastards does. I can't argue with you there.
