  1. I was curious about this as well. So I diligently searched to try and find the #s from the tour so far, but I am coming up empty.
  2. Taking my eldest son who is 16 to his 3rd Rush show in Tampa. This is a good thing, he will be almost exactly one month older than I was when I saw Rush for the first time
  3. QUOTE (pony2112 @ Jul 2 2010, 11:10 PM) Does anyone have the closing video, with the guys from I love You Man? I believe this is what you are looking for:
  4. QUOTE (DetachedandSubdivided @ Jul 2 2010, 12:34 PM) I think there's a difference between being legitimately 'critical', and 'bashing'. Exactly. Personally I think HYF is too synth heavy and would benefit from a heavier guitar tone (constructive criticism). Neil's a dick for not coming to the Hollywood WOF Star Unveiling (bashing). BTW, I don't think Neil's a dick for not showing up and for those that do, get over it.
  5. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Jul 1 2010, 04:48 PM) QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Jul 1 2010, 03:22 PM) I encourage the early retirement of Rush...I've seen enough mediocrity in their performance and recordings in recent years. Get out before they embarrass themselves any further. They are only tarnishing their past greatness by giving these half efforts. Why are you still here? Seriously? If you are tired of their "mediocrity," then go away and find some band you can believe in. The majority of people here are ecstatic about Rush touring and are sick of your constant crapping all over EVERYTHING. +1 to that. Quit being a troll and crapping all over everything. Just go away Gemini. I've only said this to one other person in almost 6 years here, but I'm saying it to you: GET OUT. YOU ARE NOT WANTED!
  6. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Jun 30 2010, 04:04 AM) Marathon!! Amazing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuuRxywEelU I've always loved this song, but never cared for the tone Alex was using at the time. It was a bit thin and brittle sound-it didn't have any balls to it. So, seeing that he is using a Les Paul to play this, I can't wait to hear this one live with that great Les Paul tone added to a great song
  7. Saw this tonight. I thought it was very well done and a great wrap up to the series. I even convinced the kids to go with (16 & 13) and they enjoyed it as well.
  8. QUOTE (troutman @ Jun 24 2010, 08:33 PM) Another fine day of trout fishing. And once again, not another soul on the creek!! I need to find a place like that Troutman!
  9. Seth Rogan as a superhero??? Ok, I gotta see this just for the novelty
  10. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 23 2010, 02:14 PM) QUOTE (Snow-Dog2112 @ Jun 23 2010, 01:11 PM) Superconductor I Really hope this is wrong I have a buddy who is going with to the Tampa show and he likes to torment me by calling me with the latest "rumors" that always include Superconductor in the set list 'cause he is trying to get a rise out of me
  11. My kids are now of the opinion that Toy Story is "kid stuff," thinking they are too cool now. But the wife and I have already decided we will be seeing it this weekend and are both really looking forward to it. I especially love to show the kids who now think Toy Story is "kid stuff" the home movies of them watching the movie, acting out the scenes as the movie plays along, sing and dance a bit and all the while tightly clutching their Woody and Buzz action figures like they are the most prized possessions on earth. They may think they're too old for Toy Story, but I'm not. I'll be there with bells on
  12. Finally got around to watching the season 3 premier. I think I agree with GG. There is just too much going on. The thing I liked about season 1 is it was pure popcorn fun. Meaning, you don't have to put much thought into it and you can just sit back and enjoy it. Maybe call it "Lost Backlash Syndrome" or something, but I liked just being able to sit down, veg out and be entertained. Not that I don't like shows that make you pay attention or think; I saw every episode of Lost. Season 1 of True Blood was just fun pure and simple. It was a guilty pleasure that was campy, silly and somehow yet compelling to watch. I think they've started to take themselves a bit more seriously than they should.
  13. Season 3 premier just aired. Haven't seen it yet, but will probably watch tomorrow night. Anybody else watch it? If so, what are your thoughts? Will it be back to the brilliance of season 1 or the schtick of season 2?

    ENTOURAGE

QUOTE (Pags @ Jun 13 2010, 09:57 PM) Let the countdown begin!! 14 days to the season premiere! YES!!! I heard that this season will be the last full season and next year they are going to to a 6 ep wrap up followed by a movie. Anybody else hear this?
  15. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Jun 13 2010, 05:40 PM) Who are the authors of this netflix "throttling" article? Are they pro-blockbuster maybe? Or in blockbuster's pocket? I would have to know that before I was to fully believe that this is a standard practice for a company like NetFlix. I gotta think it's more about Tick's area than anything. Marc's been a customer of Netflix for quite awhile now, and has never experienced this so-called throttling. If any of their customers was a loss of income to them, it would be Marc. Also, Carol wasn't kidding about that roller derby movie. We requested it, moved it to first on our queue and got it the next day. Again... we haven't been customers long, so we haven't been "throttled" yet. I will keep you posted if that ever happens to us though. The way I'm getting dvds, i'm sure i'll fall into that supposed throttled category soon. I hope you keep getting all the movies you can Necro! Its good to know someone is receiving good service. As far as the authorship of the articles I posted, just a little bit of research yields voluminous results and they all can't be on Blockbuster's payroll. If they are, maybe thats why BB is going bust edit: cause I can't spell
  16. QUOTE (Cowtothesky @ Jun 12 2010, 05:59 PM) Ok Obviously, you have done your research on this. I'm glad I still use Blockbuster. I know all the employees and can ask them if a movie is good or not. I can pick up the box and read all the info about it. I can walk down the isles and see a movie I wouldn't have thought of if I did a Netflix search. I don't have late fees. I can keep a movie a whole year if I want. I can request movies if they don't have it in stock. There is a good looking lady that works at my Blockbuster. I support a local business in my area. These are all the reasons I don't use Netflix. Like I said, if Netflix put every movie they have online and I could just log in and watch any movie instantly, I would probably subscribe. But, I would still keep my Blockbuster membership. Sorry, but I have a major issue with Netflix. The way the people in these articles were treated was exactly how my friends and I were treated. Hey, its their business, and their business model. They have the right to do this if they want, and I have the right to truthfully tell everyone how $hitty they treated me and my friends.
  17. QUOTE (Kenneth @ Jun 9 2010, 10:00 PM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Jun 9 2010, 06:59 PM) I heard that Fountain of Lamneth and I Think I'm Going Bald are going to be the encore. This a joke? Don't get hopes high!! Kenneth, at this point I would take EVERYTHING about a proposed set list as tongue in cheek. Every tour we go through this and 99.9% of them are complete and total bull$hit. Personally, I get tired of wading through the cesspool of these threads and just feel compelled to add snarky comments
  18. I heard that Fountain of Lamneth and I Think I'm Going Bald are going to be the encore.
