Sweetwater Brewing out of Atlanta just arrived in my area
So I picked up a sixer of Sweetwater IPA. Also, the distributor in my area finally started distributing Ruination again so I can finally enjoy fresh Ruination once again. I picked up a couple of bombers of that.
I also picked up a sixer of Oaked Arrogant Bastard and a 750ml bottle of DFH Miles Davis Bitches Brew
It was a really good day.

QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Sep 25 2010, 02:37 PM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Sep 25 2010, 11:59 AM) ^^^ Pretty funy, eh? I looked at it purely as a list, but then I read it and it was hilarious...
Great list, but I heartily disagree about the use of coffee. Take out coffee and you have virtually eliminated the porter and stout styles. And those two are right at the top of my list.

QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Sep 15 2010, 09:24 AM) Finally got around to watching the season finale....
WHOA!
Vinny...Vinny....Vinny...Yeah, it was easy to see this one coming. The whole season was leading up to this moment.
But, I suspect in the next (and last) season we'll see a turn around.

A friend recommended this show to me a few years back and described it as "Seinfeld on crack."
I think that sums it up pretty well
Its a very good show.

Pumpkin Ales and Oktoberfests have never been my favorite styles. I really don't like to drink either one.
But this year Sierra Nevada has introduced "Tumbler Autumn Brown Ale" and it is a very good session brew

QUOTE (thesweetscience @ Aug 19 2010, 01:09 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 19 2010, 10:08 AM) QUOTE (dilbertyard @ Aug 18 2010, 08:00 PM) Plasma TVs will burn in picture. LCDs will not. LED TV's are just LCDs with an LED back light. I've owned a plasma tv for eight years now and there's nothing burned into the screen. I recently had it calibrated and checked and this was verified.
Me too. Burn in is not really an issue anymore.
I'll third that. I've had mine for 4 years and no problems at all.

This just showed up today in my area, drinking one now.
All I can say is WOW! Stone has done it again! If you like IPAs, this is a great one!

We all know Alex is a card, but we very rarely get a glimpse into Neil's more festive side. So it was a joy to watch him laugh so heartily.
Like you said, its the best part of the DVD.

QUOTE (KillerInstinct @ Aug 18 2010, 10:08 PM) Show is starting... I think they're a bit late Yeah, I thought that too, but is it an 8:00 show (cst)? If so, they're right on time. I don't know if it was a 7:30 or 8:00 show.

QUOTE (rushgoober @ Aug 16 2010, 09:20 AM) I have to love the line "Sookie, I know what you are." Of course they're going to make us wait another full week to tell us! I knew as soon as he said it, we weren't finding out this week

QUOTE (PassTheAmmunition @ Aug 13 2010, 12:06 PM) The distributor for Captain Lawrence in New Jersey (Hunterdon) has stopped carrying CL beers, which means I can no longer find it in any of my beer stores in NJ. The only solution to this problem for me was to drive to the brewery and bring it home fresh, from Westchester. God damn, I'm resourceful!
And when I get mad, I go on beer shopping sprees. Just picked up:
Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale (3)
Stone Ruination IPA (3)
Stone Arrogant Bastard
Stone Russian Imperial Stout (2)
Stone Smoked Porter
Stone 14th Anniversary Imperial IPA (3)
Great Divide 16th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA
Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Wet Hop Harvest Ale (2)
Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA (4)
Oskar Blues Ten-FiddyNice haul!
The distributor for Stone in my area has stopped carrying Ruination And we have yet to see the Stone 14th Anniversary in my area and nobody call tell me if or when we are getting it
Sorry to hear about the CL. That is good stuff!

Found a single bottle of Cigar City Marshall Zhukov's Imperial Stout today
They don't bottle much of this, and what they do mostly stays at the brewery in Tampa. So I was stoked to find this. Sad part is they only had one bottle.

I hope this is true. A Red Rocks DVD would be great!

I'm not sure if its made its way over the the US yet, but Brewdog over in the UK has come up with a new beer called Tactical Nuclear Penguin that weighs in at a heavy 32% alcohol. Brewdog is claiming this a new world record.
if you want to investigate a bit you can go to the company's website @ brewdog.com

Just a quick note of clarification:
The new Xbox 360s DO NOT have Blu Ray capability. So if you want a gaming system AND a Blu Ray player in one unit, the PS3 is still your only choice.
Alex's voice mic was on - and he sounded good!

I suspect auto-tune is involved somehow. I'm not sure singing lessons could help that voice
But we love you for trying Al
