  2. QUOTE (FountainOfSyrinx @ Sep 9 2012, 09:18 PM) QUOTE (LotusLand @ Sep 9 2012, 09:17 PM) and Red Sector A, Dreamline, The Pass, Big Money, Force 10, Bravado are not lazy, Manhattan Project? yeah right...and I do like all of these songs very much. Limelight is very easy.. as is Tom Sawyer.. even Red Barchetta isn't that difficult to play. I agree.

DONT GO TO THE SHOW THEN Obviously you can't read. He can spell pretty well so I wouldn't doubt his ability to read. Probably just chose not too Obviously you people are pleasuring yourselfs and cannot read the entire text. It is not the setlist or the songs per say....It is what could have been and how lazy choices some of these selections are. I just chose not to read any of the text because I don't care about your opinion. So why did you respond to me? Go back to your mother's basement
  4. QUOTE (Animate @ Sep 9 2012, 09:20 PM) soooo..... what is the chance that LotusLand is actually GeminiRising? zero percent
  5. I am glad you were able to name at least 1 non-lazy song that they have not played in a awhile. (Grand Designs) So we are up to 2. GD and BE.
  6. and Red Sector A, Dreamline, The Pass, Big Money, Force 10, Bravado are not lazy, Manhattan Project? yeah right...and I do like all of these songs very much.
  7. They did not have to" learn" 17 songs. They just had to remember what key some of these songs were in and play the 4 chords that go with it. Get the timing back down and play. Yes, lazy would have been the Trees, Between the Wheels and all the others you mentioned. No disagreement.
  8. How do you know they worked their asses off on these? I do give them credit for CA.
  9. QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 9 2012, 08:58 PM) QUOTE (LotusLand @ Sep 9 2012, 09:17 PM) This is a lazy setlist. Period. That is one of the most disrespectful comments I have read regarding this tour. Let me break this down for you. There are 17 songs being played this tour that have either NEVER been played live (the CA material) or haven't been played in at least 19 years. THAT is not lazy. THAT takes balls. To learn 17 songs for a tour is a hell of a lot of effort. Lazy would have been Freewill - again La Villa - again Red Barchetta - again The Trees - again Between The Wheels - again Distant Early Warning - again ... and the list goes on. The boys totally flipped the setlist this time around. They could have taken the easy way out and been lazy.. regurgitating the same material again.. .but no. They worked their asses off for US. You don't like the setlist. Thats a shame. They worked very hard on it for us. Take CA out of it. it is lazy. Who cares about all the other staples like LL, RB, etc. etc. the other ones are just brought out from the tours in the 90's.
  10. QUOTE (GeminiRising79 @ Sep 9 2012, 08:53 PM) Lotus, I've been accusing Rush of being lazy for years. You are correct in your observation. These setlists are a travesty. I don't even care to watch the new tour videos. Its a damned disgrace. A real mix and match, ass-backwards decision. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to attend this tour. Such a piss-poor selection of older songs. Fukking shame on them. Finally, someone able to see through this. I would watch them play Happy Brithday on Tupperware from the cupboard. What is happening here is pure laziness and playing out the string. I'm sorry, forever my favorite band. This is a band that has gone out on a limb and done things their "own" way, gone out on a limb and have been bold, gone out on a limb and said to everyone else.....Go f yourself. I get it. I love it. This is just a lazy way out at this point in their careers.....and I could care less about seeing LL and CTTH again, et el. I don't care. What they have chosen are 4-6 songs that have 4-6 different chords and are easy and have been done many times in the past. Nothing bold with Force 10, Bravado, Dreamline, The Pass, Big Money, etc.etc. as discussed earlier. What so many people do not understand....Other than CA, there is really nothing new here or "fresh" as the boys like to say. I like everything they produce, but this just has many of us saying WTF.

  13. QUOTE (Animate @ Sep 9 2012, 08:40 PM) But havn't most of the tickets been sold? I thought most of the arenas are more than half sold already? The first half are the easy half to sell. It is after the hype of when they have been on sales for a while
  14. Half empty arens means playing for 1000 people at a county fair the next time around
  15. Yes, all 200 of us on the blog make a difference on the 16% who do not like the e setlist. Can't any of you read. It is not the songs or the setlist. It what could have been with the hype of the stupid strings, getting closer to the end of their careers, etc.etc. I did not even suggest what songs to add. Yes, there are a lot saying WTF and the tour revenue will indicate that at the end. This band should not have anymore musicians on stage other than 3 greatest musicians of all time.
  16. Forgot about Body Electric. Come on.....The non-Rush diehard is really going to get a chubby for this one.
  17. It is not the die hard fan that drives exceptional attendance. It is the fan who "likes" Rush and has a few albums/CD's Now you can see a setlist anywhere on a website. The casual fan who "likes" Rush and has a few albums/CD's are not going to go to watch 8-9 from Clockwork Angels or these other selections. They are going to say....No thanks. I have no problems with what they are choosing to play. I just say, what could have been.
  18. Watch ticket sales. This tour will NOT be anywhere near Time Machine for ticket revenue generated. Read my opinions losers.....I did not say the songs were bad, it is they really missed this.....Yes, even in Chicago, you can still be ANYTHING in the back sections of the UC. Last year it was full. We are 1 week away. Guarantee I will be too more shows this tour than you.
  19. Before all of the Rush fans get stupid and everything, let me explain. I have been to nearly 60 shows, and I will be at 3-4 more this year as well. I am the fan that likes it all they have produced......I am the guy who takes several days of vacation and sees 5-6 shows a tour. I am the guy who loves everyting about Rush and ALL periods. This is a lazy setlist. Period. It is not that they are not good songs, IT IS WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN. The greatest band of all time brings in strings, and jumps the shark in my opinion, and does not play Losing It? Whether you like the song or not, it is set up on a tee for a home run. Red Sector A, Bravado, Big Money, Force 10, I'm sorry these are has been songs that have been played soooooo many times. Quite frankly, there are not very difficult to play as well. That is why I say a lazy setlist. This is a setlist that has no courage. Playing songs they have sooo many times in the past that are easy to play. We have not even mentioned that Territories and Manhatten Project have been played NUMEOUS times. I'm sorry, Territories is just a bad concert song. Now throw in Dreamline and The Pass? All we are missing is Roll The Bones again. Come on Rush.....Lazy. Again, it is not that there are not great songs. I know, they have to the right to play what they want. I know, don't go if you don't like it.....I have heard it all. I will be there. They really missed this one. They could have had this setlist by the balls. What could have been is why you have so many people pissed. I am not even counting the old staples. So much to pick from, so many songs that could have been "in your face" and we get, Big Money, Force 10, Bravado, Red Sector A, and a few other has beens. NO COURAGE IN THESE SELECTIONS. Clockwork Angels is a terrific effort. If it was in 1982, we would've have been talking about it like Moving Pictures. Halo effect and The Garden are not concert songs for a band like Rush. This setlist just dissapoints in so many ways. Not the quality of the song, but what could've been. Yes, I will be there. Yes, I have spent 1,500 on tickets for 3 shows already. ps Grand Designs is very good in concert. Analog Kid has tons of energy.
  20. A pathetic setlist for this band. It is lazy. 1/2 of these songs could be replace and NO ONE would care. Terrtories, Red Sector A, Bravado, Force 10, Big Money, The Garden (beautiful song but not for a concert), Halo Effect all should be gone.
  21. What about floot 1 or 3. don't know what the seat numbers are
  22. Sitck It Out is not a good concert song. Just labors on and on. Probably my least favorite song. SIO and Faithless ruined the first set. Take those songs out and add analogkid and JL and you have a perfect show.
